I bought this coffee pot in 2007, my freshman year of college. It lasted me ten years- throughout college, my career, moving ten times, and after two children. This coffee maker was used daily and even multiple times a day sometimes. I never had any issues with it until I went to turn it on this morning and nothing happened. Old faithful finally bit the dust, and I am back to buy another!! Ten years of use far exceeded my expectations!

We brew two pots of coffee a day and go through a lot of coffee makers. Some other brands have only lasted a few months, very disappointing. Our last one of this model lasted two years, which I consider very good, given the price. We always keep a spare as it is a major crisis if we are suddenly without a working coffee maker. There were some minor changes to this most recent purchase, which is annoying, as I don't see the point. The controls are arranged differently and the indicator lights are in a different place. One thing I like is that the handle is thick and that makes it easy to grasp when I am bleary eyed in the morning. Also, it's more ergonomic for arthritic hands. The filter/top of carafe connection seems more secure on this latest one and there is less chance of a bady positioned carafe and coffee all over the counter. I guess that cancels out the changed positions on the controls.

I had a Black and Decker coffee maker for probuble 10-yrs and finally broke to pot. I was determined to find another, white, same maker, and (yeah...under $15 !). Great for the 'why should I pay $250 for a Krups' people.

I had a black coffee maker I paid over 60 dollars for, but couldn't tell if it was clean or dirty inside ,so I decided to go to white, so I could see if it was clean, for 14.99 this is better than the expensive one I had,and I can see if its clean and also how much water im putting in ,it does everything the other one did.... Im much happier now.....

This is a sturdy....and durable coffee pot....but my only negative comment is this: Don't like the programmable part of it. I just get it ready the night before & turn it on in the morning, can't figure out how to set it to come on....and really would prefer the old fashion way of just flipping a switch to turn it on....I mean to me its just something I don't need. If it wasn't for that...I would give it a five star review.

This was the lowest price programmable coffee maker offered by Walmart.com. It makes good coffee (up to 12, not 10 cups) and fits under a counter. The carafe is quite substantial. I also like that it has a 2 hour turn off though I haven't tried it yet. It also takes the less expensive basket filters, not the cone filters.

Got this B&D 12-cup programmable coffee maker to replace my Mr Coffee, which I had had for years, and finally fizzled. I tried a new Mr Coffee, but they have changed the water lift lid on top to open on the left, rather than the back. This small detail is important to me as I had a stroke, which means I must now use my left hand, and the left side of coffeemaker, or spill water all over the counter. I tried this B&D because it opened from the back. I have been extremely happy with this since I got it. The carafe is a higher quality glass and design, which means it does not spill as easily as the Mr Coffee when pouring, and the carafe cleans much better. Also, the "pause" is better on this, as it stops right when I pull the carafe, rather than dribbling just a little before it stops. The buttons and clock are easy to read and very simple to set. It has been so easy to use, and is well-designed and good-looking on my counter. I actually got the Black color to coordinate with my other appliances, and it looks great. This is a very satisfacory coffee maker, well worth the money, highly recommended.

I received the B&D coffee maker 4 days earlier than what was first stated. What a great price. Less than $22.00 including tax and delivery to my home. I've been using it a little over a week with no problems at all. Just one thing you should be aware of. The maker needs to be cleaned with vinegar or CLR and then several pots full of clean water to follow. I originally just did a water through it and it had a plastic taste. So take the time to clean it thoroughly. It is very easy to program and I wake up to fresh coffee every morning. There has been no problem with pouring and dripping like some others have said they have. Also the pause and serve works great. A very pleasant surprise with this coffee maker is that it has a green lit led clock witch can be seen, unlike my Mr. Coffee maker witch you had to be right in front of with good lighting to read. Why hasn't anyone else been able to do the same? And at such a reasonalble price? I absolutely love this feature. Even if it only lasts a year, I would definietly buy this again. Thank you Black and Decker for finally listening to peoples wants and needs. We like the overall design of this product.

I've read most of the reviews from others that have purchased this coffee maker and I'd like to add my 2 cents worth... I like it!!! works good, looks good, darn good coffee, very good price and Black and Decker haven't let me down yet..The only 2 things I'd like to change would be it is tough to see when you add the water in the reservoir ...What I did tho was take a black sharpie permanent marker and outline the plastic clear measurement guide, then I put dash lines on each side of the numbers 2,4,6,8,10,12....BY GOLLY IT WORKS LOL. Another thing if you could add a few coffee filters in the box because some of us don't have it on hand...my last coffee maker used cone shaped filters so Thank God for neighbors...thankyou

If you are looking for a basic coffee maker with a carafe, this is the one to get. The build feels more sturdy and durable that most in it's class, and it has programmable features as well. Moreover, it brews rich and robust coffee...the coffee is not weak and watery like some. I got this item on sale in our local Walmart for about $5 cheaper than it is online, so I got a great price on it. I bought it as a transitional coffee maker to use when our old one broke until we decided what we wanted to buy as our main coffee maker. Ironically, I have bought and returned several other brands in the interim, and keep falling back on this one. Nothing else, no matter the price, has measured up. So what I purchased to be a backup coffeemaker ended up being my main squeeze. It's also a great value and looks classic and clean on the counter.
