I thought this was a nice looking coffeemake for the price. I got it home, set the time and programmed the clock to make coffee at 6 am. When I woke the next morning at 6am to NO coffee I discovered that the time on the clock (that I has set) said 2 o'clock. So I did this for about three day in a row. Still nothing. I took it back and traded it for the same one at the store. It turned out that this one did the exact same thing! This coffeemaker does NOT hold time at all!!

I received this coffee maker as a house warming gift in October 2007 only to stop working 3 months later. Went back to purchase the same one last week since I liked it, only to have the clock malfunction and then the delay brew not work! I would set the correct time only to come back and notice it'll go from the correct time to 13:00. The thing does not have a military time feature. I would go from 1:00, 2, 13, 14... all the way to 20:00 then go to 0! I'm done with this product!

Had this coffeemaker for 2 weeks and the on/off light quit working so you could never tell if it was on or off. Since we drink alot of coffee and it turns itself off in two hours, this was a real problem for us.

I purchased this coffee maker during the day after Thanksgiving sale, opened it up on Christmas morning and brewed our first pot of coffee. It was great. A few hours later, I noticed that the time on the clock was wrong and was showing military time. I reset it thinking it was just some random fluke. It did it again several more times. Not one single morning was I able to wake up to an already made pot of coffee. I was going to exchange the unit for another, but after reading the reviews here, I see that it will do little good. I will unfortunately have to go with a higher priced unit.

I had gotten one of these coffee makers once and had the same problems with the clock not working for long. I found out that if it ever gets any water or coffee spilled on the clock it will stop working. My advise is get a coffee maker with the clock above the crafe.

I got this at the after Thanksgiving Day sale and thought it was the perfect pot for me because it brews perfectly, plus I like the permanent gold filter. Well after waking up more than enough mornings to find that programed time readjusted itself, I decided to re-read the instructions to make sure I was setting this right, afterall with most things digital now, how hard can it be to set a clock? Well after researching this product online, I now see it's not me, as others are experiencing the same problem...Thank goodness I kept the receipt and box because, back to the store it goes today!

I've had my B&D coffee maker for over three years. It's still in great condition. I've never had a problem with it. It's so easy to use, my daughter now prepares it so we wake up to fresh brewed coffee every morning. When she moves out, she's going to have to buy her own. This is the best coffee maker I've ever owned. (And I've owned a lot.)

Although the product looked nice, and had the features I wanted, it went bizerk and the time kept changing on the clock, so I couldn't use the "programmable" feature. It would brew coffee fine if you just turned it on, but the time would change by itself at random, so you couldn't get it to make coffee at the time programmed. I returned it, getting another one----thinking it was just a fluke I got a defective one, but guess what! I got a second one and the same thing--------the time kept changing! I have had "B & D" coffee makers in the past and had good service with them, but there is something seriously wrong in the making of this model! or there is a load of defective ones amont them. I bought a more expensive "Sunbeam" now!

Brought this product because of B&D is supposed to be a quality item. After 3 months of use, the warmer plate burned out. Because of this the coffee would not be hot like it should be when it was being made. I did like the appearance of the coffeemaker but was disappointed that it did not last very long. We only use the coffeemaker for our morning coffee so it was not like we were making coffee all day long. This is second time purchasing B&D coffeemaker and will not buy again, regardless of price.

I would have to disagree with previous reviews. Excellent product in all aspects. I have had my model for over two years and am very pleased with it. Several times (due to my own carelessness) the coffee maker was turned on with the pot not placed under the percolating coffee. Coffee ran all over the base and controls. The coffee maker stopped working, but after drying out was perfectly fine. Mind you, I have done this about three times and the coffee maker has regained its working order every time after drying out. I think that is very impressive! The pouring spout on the coffee pot itself is great. Coffee is poured into cups without sloshing all over the place on your counter or table (like those of Mr. Coffee and many others). Great Price, Great Look, Great Performance!
