This is probably one of the best toasters that I have ever owned. After spending endless dollars on the cheap toasters I finally decided to invest in a good one. We have 2 children in our home, both under the age of 5, so waffles and sandwiches are made quite often here. The 4 slice option is great for the kids so we can make both of their waffles at the same time and they aren't arguing about who is eating first. It's also great for the parents as well, so we can eat together and one isn't eating absolutely last. We tried a few different settings to see how toasted food gets. We started with setting #3 and it was a little too toasted for us (see picture attached) so we then went to setting #2 and that was the perfect for us (see picture attached). I appreciate the time saved toasting four pieces of toast and bagels at once versus a two sliced toaster! I have three boys and it's been a great time saver for me. Our bagels and toast came out great and I did use the bagel option when toasting. When I first used it, there was a smell coming from it so I definitely recommend running it once before putting food in it. Overall, it's simple and toasts well. This toaster is very convenient in the mornings! Saves time with the 4 slots when one kid wants pop tarts and the other wants jelly toast! For a 4 slice toaster it is actually quite small and doesn't take up alot of counter space. I love that it is stainless and black! It matches our kitchen appliances perfect and looks elegant. I got this toaster and the first thing I am impressed with is how lightweight it is. My other toaster was an extremely heavy one. This one has wide slots which is perfect for toasting bagels, there is plenty of room and they don't get stuck in there. I love that 4 slots and separate controls for each side as my daughter and I like different levels of darkness on our toast. The round dial you just turn to the level of setting you want. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars vs 5 is that the lever you push down is a little flimsy, the black part you push on seems very thin. Other than that this is the perfect toaster if you want something lightweight and small enough in size to store on the counter or away in a cupboard. I really like that it has a cancel button that easily pops up the toast instead of having to lifting the levers like my other toaster. I don't really like that the cord comes from the front but I can get used to it. One side of my toast on each piece was darker than the other. But I like the wide slots so it'll be great for bagels. This toaster is my new favorite! The Black and Decker 4 slice toaster is very compact, which is great for not taking up too much cabinet space; yet it really packs a punch! I love how quickly and evenly this toaster toasts everything. I have toasted bagels, english muffins and bread with ease. This toaster is very easy to adjust the settings for how toasted you like your items. It is also very easy to clean out the crumbs. My kids also use this toaster without any issues. My Black + Decker 4-slice toaster has made breakfast at my house easier and more delicious. Being able to make four slices of toast at a time, instead of two, saves so much time in the morning. It has six different shade settings, so everyone in my family can have their toast as light or dark as they like. It has wide slots, so I can toast bagels as well. This four slice toaster is a real time saver. I have a family of five and we go through a lot of toast for breakfast. Super easy to use and you can adjust the toasting level for each side which is nice because my wife likes hers toasted lighter than mine. Also, has a bagel option and cancel button on each side. Terrible purchase, returned it immediately after testing. We were aware it would be lesser quality due to price but what we got was barely a toaster; a subpar, cheaply made, almost toy-like, quality. It didn't even toast the bread properly. One side kept toasting darker than the other. Photos attached show 4 pieces of bread toasted at the same time, and how either sides are unevenly toasted, almost burnt. Save your money and DON'T BUY THIS.
