Galanz thoughtful engineering brings you ExpressWave, a multifunctional 1000-Watt Microwave Oven with Sensor Cooking and Sensor Reheating features as well as a unique Express Cooking Knob that makes everything faster and easier to use.  It's the perfect microwave oven for cooking faster everyday meals as well as gourmet cooking! From setting the time, temperature, portions, or quick start, the Express Cooking Knob makes it easier and faster to cook, which allows one to spend more time eating and less time cooking.  Also, ExpressWave has a beautiful design with its Stainless Steel that will fit perfectly with any décor in your kitchen.  Plus, the control panel is touch sensitive that has been designed to be easy to operate, intuitive, and ergonomic.

What Is Microwave Sensor Cooking?

The Galanz ExpressWave Sensor Cook control automatically adjusts the cooking time based on the moisture level of the food or beverage being cooked. The Sensor Cook control is set to cook potatoes, fresh vegetables, frozen vegetables, bacon, frozen dinner, rice, frozen breakfast, and frozen pizza.

Is a 1000 watt Galanz ExpressWave Sensor Cooking microwave powerful enough?

With 10 variable power levels, the Watt microwave oven allows you to adjust the cooking power from 10% to 100%. Its touch-sensitive control panel is intended to be user-friendly, intuitive, and ergonomic. A 1,000-watt microwave cooks quickly and efficiently, so that's a good starting point. High-wattage like 1000 watt cooking is best suited to reheating anything with a high water content, such as soups, canned food, and hot drinks. Microwaves with 700 watts or less cook more slowly and unevenly. In general, the faster the cooking time, the higher the wattage.

So are Galanz ExpressWave Sensor Cooking Microwave Oven worth it?

Sensor microwaves are nearly always worth the investment when cooking simple meals or defrosting frozen food due to their high efficiency. Many microwaves have basic temperature sensors that turn the microwave off if food burns, but this isn't the same as sensor cooking. The Auto Sensor detects the amount of moisture generated by the food while cooking and allows you to cook it automatically. When food is cooked, it produces a variety of moisture. So, by detecting these moistures from the food, the Galanz ExpressWave Auto Sensor will determine the proper time and power level required, eliminating the need to set the cooking time and power level.

Love this unit! I use it in place of my oven. Only criticism is I wish the turntable was easier to turn off and stay off. Great value.

Started out nice. After two weeks, the unit started turning off after warming up food. This happened even after only running for one minute. Now the unit will make a beep and the lights flash once when we close the door. Nothing else, the unit broke already!

My Galanz ToastWave stopped working within 30 days of receipt. I was using it primarily as a microwave, sometimes a toaster. It shuts down after a few seconds, beeps and shows "Error Code 30". There's no error code 30 in the manual. Called customer service and they did not know/could not tell me what error code 30 is and suggested I initiate a return/refund through Amazon. While it was working, the microwave function was very good. Toasting was ok, it seemed to take longer than it should but outcome was ok. Using it as a convection oven took way too long (40 minutes to cook some chicken) - I only tried it one time so maybe I had the settings wrong but didn't get the chance to try it again. Never got to try the air fryer. The settings are not difficult but I did not find them intuitive, so getting used to using the unit for anything but basic functions, takes some time/means referring to the manual. I appreciated the ability to free up some counter space by not having a separate toaster but there were drawbacks with that as well. Toasting 2 slices of bread medium took 4 to 6 minutes, during that time, you couldn't use the microwave, so preparation took longer. Even if it didn't break down, I don't think I'd recommend it.

I wanted to love this microwave toaster, but it couldn't do the most basic task right. It took so long to cook Walmart frozen fries and microwave popcorn. It gets too hot for such little work. I'm into minimalism and I was looking to having less crowded counters. I tried to excuse its poor performance, but when it burned my popcorn a couple of times that was the last straw. The technology is not there yet. Until then I'll stick with my GE microwave and my Cuisinart Toaster/Air Fry Oven.

I am reviewing the Galanz ToastWave. Very fast (3-day) shipping by Amazon. I must have bought it on a cyber sale or something, because when I clicked on the link to make a review, the price was $200 more than what I paid. When the huge box arrived, there were a few tears in the box, but the oven was in perfect shape due to the styrofoam it was packed in. I did notice some scratches on the control panel, but there is a clear sticky protective layer on top that was hard to see. Just peel it off and it is beautiful. It is big and beautiful. After I removed my old microwave and toaster, I actually have more room on my countertop now, but I made a little (trial) extension out of wood to slide it over closer to the refrigerator over the gap between the countertop, to give me more room. The hinges of the door are on the left, and it is a good sized door, so if you are mixing something on a small countertop and need to open the door, I had to move whatever I had on the countertop just to open the door. I have tried everything except the Sensor modes (which I don’t understand yet), and everything works great. The controls are pretty easy to figure out, and I really like the functions of the dial. I’ve never used auto settings on previous microwaves or ovens, as I prefer to adjust my own power, temperature and time. The bake “cake” auto setting is pretty accurate on time and temperature, but I prefer to set my own. You can easily fit a 9” x 13” baking pan inside, long-way straight in only, but there is no way to turn off the turntable (except in microwave mode as far as I can tell), so it is always turning underneath the baking pan, which is too long to do a complete circle inside the oven, so the pan gets shifted to one side until it can’t move anymore, but the turntable keeps turning under the pan. The instructions say to use the turntable, so I’m not sure if you can just stick the pan in there on top of the heating elements, but I think not. The manufacturer did say that the oven works best when using the turntable. My brownies turned out great in a 9x13 pan, sitting on top of the turntable, and baked evenly, but I’ll worry about wearing out the top of the turntable by rubbing on the bottom of the pan. A 12.5” round pizza pan fits perfectly inside of the turntable, so I’m going to have to get a few more of those round pans to bake cookies and other things so the pan can spin around. UPDATE 1/7/21: I saw the wear marks on the bottom of my 13x9 pan from the turntable, so that won't happen again. Not a problem for me, but I wish I could turn the turntable off. You can only turn it off in Microwave mode. I now bake 8x8 pans for brownies, and just cut smaller slices. The brownies are a little thicker, and the frosting is thicker, so oh no, poor me. I rarely write a review in the first place, for anything, except to bitch about something. For me to write a follow-up, just means that I REALLY have an opinion. I don't think I can really explain how cool this thing is. I'll try. Once you get the hang of this oven, it will do almost anything. I made convection Pillsbury muffins this morning for the first time, and they came out just beautiful, browned perfectly on top and bottom. Tonight I made meatloaf and acorn squash. Boom. Perfect. I'm not a good cook. I set the timer to what the package said. Ding, Ding Ding, it's done. Get yourself a low wire grate to put onto the turntable (see picture), then put your pan on it. If you want to make a 12" pizza, get a 12" pan with holes in it, otherwise the bottom of the crust is soggy, if you use the pizza setting and a flat pan. The top gets too brown, and the crust is soggy. I have best luck on either "bake" or "Convection". I will never use all of the other automatic options that are available. When I used the broil setting, for making cod fish the other night, smothered in butter, it turned out better than I've ever made in my oven broiler. Just wanted to let you guys know that this is a pretty nice machine.

All functions work well; however, a couple of minor issues: 1. the light inside the oven is very dim 2. the clock speeds up over time. gains about 30 minutes a week. Even with those 2 flaws, I'm happy with the purchase. bakes well, the air fryer does a good job, and the microwave works as it should.

This is the best microwave combo we’ve ever purchased. It cooks everything perfectly. Just remember to keep the silicone mat in the tray when microwaving and remove it for the other cooking options. The instructions are clear and we made notes with them because it’s a very hot microwave. For example, the preset for popcorn was burning our store bought popcorn, so we made a note that it needs to cook at 2.30 instead of anything higher than that. That’s the only issue we’ve had, but it’s totally adjustable. I’m so thankful I did my research and found this product. You’ll be very happy with it, just follow the instructions and it’s very easy to keep clean. That’s plus too!

i have used and enjoyed this multi-function oven and even joined an air-fryer cooking group, however, i have noticed that it takes me much longer time to cook in the air fryer than other people who have different fryers. Also the air fryer tray is quite small so you really can't cook alot at once. If you are buying this to heavily use the air fryer feature you may want to look for something more powerful and that has a larger rack or multiple cooking racks. Other than that point, the toaster, convection, microwave, broiler have all worked fine. It's really nice to be able to bake and and not have to heat up a whole big oven on hot days.

They should call it a 5 in 1! Had a heck of a time getting one that wasn’t damaged due to poor handling by the shipping companies, but Amazon came through as usual - third time’s a charm as they say! Had an over the cooktop microwave with venting that was really poor! Now I’m installing a professional hood, cooktop and wall oven. Very happy with this Galanz! It goes it all and solved all my space concerns. Thanks Amazon for keeping on it.

We had been considering purchasing an air fryer for a while when our microwave went out. Our lack of a microwave caused us to determine whether purchasing another microwave along with an air fryer was preferable to the Galanz microwave/air fryer/convection oven/etc. Because Amazon had a very low price ($299) compared with other retailers ($499+) we felt the product must be worth every bit of the $299. Although the Galanz is a space saving solution, the functions are limited when compared to other stand alone appliances (air fryers and microwaves, as well as the other features it offers). The air fryer temperature selections are very limited and the air frying takes longer than with other units. Personally, I believe that it is because the air fryer does not utilize wire baskets which would allow the heat to circulate better. I have yet to achieve any crispness to the fried chicken. I have been very disappointed with the air frying. I may yet purchase an another air fryer. Toast takes much longer than a conventional toaster. Overall, although the Galanz has many functions tucked neatly into a single appliance I would rather have replaced the microwave with another microwave and have invested in another air fryer/oven unit. Even at the comparatively low price of $299, knowing what I know now, I would never have invested in purchasing the Galanz. I regret my decision and wish I had purchased separate appliances to meet our cooking desires. Update to my former review: I am thoroughly dissatisfied with this product. I would never recommend it to anyone. The air fryer does not produce any crispness. Whether it be fries or chicken, or whatever, it will not produce the desired results. The turntable is very poorly designed insomuch as the rotating device does not consistently link up properly to the turntable. Therefore, pizza gets burnt on one side while not done on the other side. Sometimes it works but most of the time the little drive link does not rotate the turntable as needed for properly balanced cooking. Microwaving is sometimes not available when needed during a meal preparation because after air frying or using the toast or bake features the turntable needs to cool before placing the mat on the turntable to use the microwave feature. This time delay can mess up the timing of a meal. Utilizing a separate microwave, apart from a multifunctional appliance such as this one, is a much better route to take. My wife says "Just throw it in the trash and count it a loss" Believe me, I have come very close to following her advice. If I could get a refund I would invest in a separate microwave and air fryer/toaster oven, but I am stuck with this continual source of frustration. If anyone chooses to ignore my review and forewarning at least pay the additional money for the warranty. I believe you will be wise to get the coverage. If I failed to convey my feelings, allow me to summarize them as being very very frustrated with my purchase.

My husband ordered this... it arrived a few moments ago. He turned on the toaster function... and it started to smoke and smell like burning plastic from the grates in the back where we can’t get to and their shouldn’t be and plastic ? We are really bummed because it’s not easy to find all in one units like this. ? he is on the phone with the company now and we are returning.

This item does everything it claims to do . Takes up a good amount of counter space. It is easy to put food in and out which was important for us . Our built in microwave was to high for our comfort to use. We use this unit to replace 3 other units. Well worth the price. Thinking about getting another unit to use in our Arizona home. First unit was damaged in transit, a replacement was sent and delivered within 5 or 6 days. I would recommend buying on if you want a unit that does it all.

I tried all functions and noticed the back of the oven cooked things great but the front did not. I also noticed the turntable did not turn. When I removed the turn table, the stem that the turntable sits in was loose and just popped out. I think the issue is the stem is not turning the turntable for even cooking. I contacted Galanz. I hope it can be fixed.

I purchased this from another store (had a coupon) however I buy lots on Amazon. Just wanted to share because not many are taking a chance on this. In the last two weeks I've microwaved lots of stuff, baked cookies, toasted a cheese sandwich, baked a homemade pizza, baked cinnamon rolls, air fried egg rolls and French fries and chicken nuggets......yes I have kids. Anyway the list goes on. My whole family loves this and I get lots of counter space back. I've given away my beloved air fryer, my toaster and old microwave. Take a chance! The control panel is a bit sensitive and there is a learning curve but it is learnable. I've toasted bagels, English muffins, bread.......

I've been using this microwave for a couple of weeks and am very impressed! The style is sleek and fits my decorative scheme perfectly. This microwave has many different settings and everything I have used works great. I love the defrost option, it actually defrosts without partially cooking the meat.

***Update: 05/16/20 Don't buy it. I've had it about a month and the button to clear the remaining time is broken. It just stopped working out of the blue. I've tried everything. Now, the only way to use it is to carefully estimate the time needed down to the second, otherwise you'll have to let it run through the rest of the time empty. Unplugging it might clear it, too, but at this price point I shouldn't have to unplug it every time I overestimate cooking times. I've also noticed that even at 425 degrees on air fry it takes longer than it should to cook stuff - even wings (45 minutes compared to 20 minutes in another brand) I'm dropping my review to two stars and that's being generous imho because it should last longer than a month for that price. I cannot recommend this product.*** I almost gave this multifunctional oven 5 stars. One thing stopped me. You can't see inside through the door when it's running. If you want to see how the food is progressing, you have to open the door and let the heat out. I've tried several of the functions - microwave, sensor heat, bake, toast, air fry. The microwave works great, as does bake, toast and air fry. Sensor heat didn't dazzle me. It's a microwave function that's supposed to heat your food to the perfect temp, using humidity levels and other wizardry but it takes longer than regular microwaving and seemed to miss the mark just a bit. However, that being said, I do recommend this little 4-in-1 oven. It does the job of several appliances quite well and takes up the same amount of space as the average microwave. It's great for anyone but perfect for those who find themselves limited on counter space. I love mine.

I like our Galanz ExpressWave Sensor Cooking Microwave Oven. It's sharp looking. I placed it in the corner of the kitchen counter underneath the cupboards. It fits perfectly and makes an unusable space usable. Had I not had a corner, the microwave would have taken up a lot of space on the counter. I do prefer using the dial to set the cook time, timer, etc., over my last microwave that only had buttons to push. It seems to be more intuitive. I like the red and black reference guide sheet that accompanied the microwave. I keep it in a kitchen drawer. Basically, it's an easily understood condensed version of the User Manual. The reference guide explains how to: use the microwave; sensor cook; sensor reheat; use pre-set buttons; lock function; use different power levels, and set the clock. The reference guide, in conjunction with the cooking label located inside the microwave, will help make cooking so much easier and quicker. The pre-set buttons on the control panel are great! It has a popcorn pre-set button. How can that not be great? Speaking of popcorn, microwave popcorn bags, for the most part, have butter flavoring. With the outside of the microwave having partial stainless steel, fingerprints do show up easily. If you like your appliances to always look clean and smudge-free, you might keep the stainless steel feature in mind. It sure looks nice when there aren't smudges. Overall, I give the Galanz ExpressWave microwave two thumbs up.

I am a spark reviewer for Walmart and today I will be reviewing the Galanz ExpressWave 1.1 Cu ft Sensor cooking Microwave Oven in Stainless Steel. The product arrived well packaged and in great shape. It's a nice medeum sized Microwave with 1,000 watts of power. More than enough to handle any cooking project. It has a twelve inch glass turntable, but most of all are the features that make it special. It has six sensor cooking modes from defrost, to cooking, to reheat and more It also has a sensor control knob that makes everything fool proof! The stainless and black design allows it to fit perfectly in any decor. I would recomend this microwave to anyone!

THE GALANZ EXPRESSWAVE 1.1 CU.FT SENSOR COOKING MICROWAVE OVEN is a very interesting microwave. There are explecit instructions posted where you can easily follow the directions. Granted sensor cooking is different than microwaving we're use to; however, with practice you will soon know what you are doing and feel comfortable with it. This is a remarkable microwave and does a great job. To top it off, the stainless steel is quite attractive and adds an element of beauty to your kitchen. Setting the time can be a little frustrating; but be patient and take your time and you'll succeed. Enjoy this unique cooking experience.

This is a really nice all-in-one unit. Not super simple to use but powerful. To use the microwave, you need to put in an included silicone mat and the controls are not super-intuitive, my teenager is still a but frustrated with it. The included manual is a big help, but it is tough to get everyone in the family together for "new kitchen appliance class". The toaster is quick and will toast "up-to" 6 slices of toast at once, The oven heats fast and the microwave is very powerful. I have not yet tried all of the features of this oven but as well as the few I have tried work, I feel confident I will be satisfied. The only issue we have had is the clock keeps running fast, about 10 mins fast every 24 hours. Not a deal breaker but resetting it daily or ignoring it is annoying.

The Galanz microwave is a great size for those with small amounts of counter space, campers, rv's, college dorms, small apartments etc. It's size is 21 3/16" wide, 11 13/16" high and 16 1/4" deep. The turntable is 12 3/8" so from the picture, you can see that a platter will fit perfectly. It's 1.1 Cu. Ft and the cooking power is 1000 w. You'll need to keep the book handy till you get all the features figured out and cooking times etc. The control panel is different than any I have seen so I still have a lot to learn in running it. The only 2 negative issues with it was setting the clock. I had to give up on it till it was say 6:00 with no minutes as I couldn't get the minutes without canceling the hour. The second was, the clock/times light is so bright, it was messing with our eyes. We were getting almost blurred lights, probably because we both have eye troubles. We remedied it by taking an unused white address lable and putting it over it. Now, it still shines through but we can both look at it and make out the time without any problem at all. We have a lot to learn about it. It comes with a nice plastic 'sheet' that's a quick start guide for use, cooking and I just discovered the instructions on it for setting the clock are much clearer than in the book so when the power goes out, I can reset it much easier. For those with children or ones in the household that need protection, there are instructions for locking it and unlocking it. It's going to be great not only for rewarming things but cooking them as well. I've only done warming veggies and coffee so far. Tonight it will be tested out on cooking salmon.

This Galanz ExpressWave 1.1 Cu.Ft Sensor Cooking Microwave Oven is a good medium size. It doesn't take up a large amount of space, but is big enough for me to cook and reheat family size meals. It fits a full size plate with room to spare. The pre-cook settings work pretty well on this. I made a plate of potatoes using this and turned the knob to its approximate weight and they came out perfectly, soft and fluffy. I like that I can adjust the temp setting also on this, because some foods recommend cooking on a high setting, which this microwave has. I also like the sensor cooking feature on this microwave. I can pick the type of food I'm cooking and it senses the time to cook it based on the moisture in the food, and it comes out fully cooked. The dial knob is great and makes picking the time and setting easy. I can also adjust the time in 10 second increments. The digital clock/display is large and bright. It works almost like a night light in the dark which is nice. The quality and style of this microwave is great. I would recommend it.

Overall this is a great microwave for the price. It has alot of options for the sensor cooking and its all easily accessed and printed on the inside of the door. I honestly didnt have great expectations for the sensor cooking but I do have to say it works quite well on most items, sometimes I might prefer to add 30 seconds...and there is a button for that. Its a new and practical design to me with a turn knob to adjust the timer . My favorite features are the presets and ajustable power level.

I would definitely recommend this microwave to every household out there. You won't regret it.

This is a great microwave! I love the easy to use dial feature instead of pushing all of the buttons to use. Simply turn the dial to the desired cook time, push the dial in and you're good to go! The removable glass turntable and easy to clean surfaces are a win. The overall size is average as compared to other 1000W microwaves. It has an attractive cabinet and well lit led lighting. It would probably be better on a microwave cart rather than a countertop due to the footprint. Other reviewers couldn't get the clock set. The directions indicated holding the clock button for three seconds for the 12-hour setting. After entering the hour, push the button in and dial to the minutes and push the button again. It can also be programmed with 24-hour time. It's pretty simple. I had my teenage daughter try using the microwave. She felt it was pretty easy to use but felt it was a little bit loud. The microwave has several auto settings to cook using a sensor or to cook popcorn, for example, which worked very well. This is well worth the price for the features. Would definitely recommend.

Was sooo looking forward to reclaiming some counter space. I took the microwave, toaster and convection oven away and replaced them with the Galanz ToastWave - at least for a week. Toasting - not well at all. It takes almost twice as long to toast and the bottom does not brown as much/uneven toasting. Convection oven - mediocre results. Attempted to make chicken cordon bleu (2 breasts in a glass pan) and it took exactly twice as long as normal to cook it. The chicken was cooked evenly though, just took longer. Microwave - probably the best function, although not as powerful. This function is the easiest to use - you can simply rotate the dial to the desired amount of time and start. That's pretty easy! They recommend using the silicone platter insert, however I have used it both ways with the same results. Note - when in use the interior light is on, but it will be VERY difficult to see your food as the window is tinted pretty dark. Overall I like the concept of replacing several appliances, I just don't think this unit is there yet. I'll keep it out for the microwave feature, but have since brought back my Breville convection oven/toaster. **UPDATE Have also noticed that the clock gains about 2 minutes every day, so you'll constantly have to update it :(

It is so unfortunate, but this arrived with a broken front door and a big dent on the right top corner. Because it uses high heat and microwaves, it is too dangerous to attempt testing this unit. There is no way for me to upload pictures on Amazon for over a week now, so I cannot provide pictures. I have attempted to contact Amazon support about returning this, and also to find out why I cannot upload pictures. No response from Amazon. Maybe they are short handed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. I have to give this 1 star.

Galanz ExpressWave sensor cooking microwave oven model # GSWWD11S1S10 is a large counter-top microwave. To be more precise, it is 1.1 cu. ft. of total cooking space. Like most of today's microwaves in this price range, it has designated and programmable touch buttons for different types of food. This one also has a rotating level selector knob which can adjust time and meal portions without using the above buttons. I found the level selector knob a lot quicker to adjust specific time than manually punching numbers into buttons. There is also a child lock button that I never saw on other microwaves which is an interesting feature. One of the most striking features of Galanz ExpressWave is its exterior design. It is stainless steel with a microwave door window tinted black and chrome plated rotating knob. Rotating knob looks like an idea taken from a luxury car. Galanz microwave has a very large exterior dimension which should be taken into consideration because it does take a lot of counter space. It is about 21.5 inches wide by 15.5 inches deep and about one foot high. The weight is a little bit over 30 pounds which is about average for its class. Overall I think Galanz ExpressWave microwave is a very functional and nice design which is why I would recommend it.
