Hamilton Beach 45 Cup Coffee Urn How to Use?
• To make coffee, remove cover, coffee basket and stem. Fill coffee urn with cold water to desired level as indicated by numbered servings on inside of urn. • Place stem into coffee basket. Then holding the center post of the coffee basket place large end of stem into heating unit well. • Measure ground coffee into coffee basket. Avoid getting ground coffee in the stem. Refer to the Coffee Making Chart that follows. Spread coffee evenly in basket. • Place cover onto coffee urn and turn to lock. • Plug cord into the coffee urn then plug the cord into electrical outlet. The unit automatically turns on. • The coffee urn will stop automatically when the coffee has finished brewing, and the Ready light will glow. Allow about 1 minute per cup for brewing time. • Using a hot mitt, remove cover then carefully remove coffee basket with HOT grounds and stem. Replace cover. • The coffee urn will remain at serving temperature until it is unplugged. To serve, place a cup under the serving spout. Push down and hold the lever until the cup is filled, then release the lever. For a constant flow, to empty the urn, or fill a carafe, lift the lever straight up. The lever will stay in the open position until the lever is pushed down. • When finished serving coffee, unplug the coffee urn from the electrical outlet. Then remove cord from the coffee urn.

The Hamilton Beach fast brew urn is perfect for any crowd. Was very easy to set up and Brews very quickly. My favorite feature is the hands-free where you can fill a cup it makes for a cleaner setup and especially nice when your hands are full at a buffet or event. This is so much easier than making multiple pots of coffee and the coffee stays hot and fresh to the very last cup. With a group of 20 will be able to to get two cups of coffee during the event without having to make another pot. If you do have to make another pot during an event it's really fast in brewing and the quality is the same throughout from pot to pot. If you're getting ready to host an event this is the perfect coffee urn for entertaining. This is perfect and just what I needed for my family get togethers. It's slightly smaller than a usual urn but makes 15 to 45 cups of coffee/ hot beverages. I use this for hot tea most of the time and it's easy to use. Takes about 25 minutes to brew but it's definitely easy to use and worth it for a big crowd. I bought this for when I host large gatherings. The was perfect for a group on 12 or 25! It was so easy to use and to clean. The only reason I gave it a 4 star review was because of how loud it was when it percolated and how hot the sides of the urn would get. We have been using this for our office safety meetings and it has been great! It easily makes enough for everyone quickly, the handles stay cool and the lever is easy to use, no dripping everywhere. The coffee level is very handy, it always let's us know how much is left and when we need to make another pot. Clean up is a breeze, we are very happy with this coffee maker! This coffee urn is great for large groups. It brews 45 cups very fast, I did not time it but it was less than 30 minutes. I tried 25 cups and it took 20 minutes. Cleaning was easy. I especially liked the one handed dispenser into a coffee mug! The dispenser is easy to operate and does not leak. One thing that I do not like is you have to unplug it, there is no on off switch. One small thing to know, if you want to make smaller amounts to have and keep it warming for hot coffee for longer periods of time you can not. When it gets down to 20 cups you have to unplug it. Since the urn is not insulated like an air pot you see in a convenience store, coffee gets cold quickly. This limitation will make this urn useful for only large gatherings. I really like this coffee urn! The urn makes 45 cups of great coffee in 28 minutes and it stays warm and toasty, not burned. Although, you don't need a coffee filter, I used a basket style filter, flattened with a hole in it for the stem. This made cleanup much easier. The handle is great, you can either push it with your cup or set the cup below the spout and lift. either way it works nicely and doesn't drip. A light turns on and stays on when the coffee or water is hot. You must plug the urn into the wall to begin brewing and unplug to turn it off. It would be better if it had an on/off switch so it's easier not to forget to turn it off. For a large urn this doesn't
take up very much space, about the same as a regular coffee maker. Just what I needed for
