I use this almost daily for everything from smoothies to hommus and chopping vegetables. I love it. However, food gets trapped in the handle and top and is impossible to clean. This is a very poor design. For this reason I would not recommend it.

I have been wanting a new food processor for a long time now ans I'm so glad I purchased this one. It is making it easier to prepare larger things such as mac salad, chopping up the onions, celery, and carrots that go in it. It has also made making my homemade pasta dough prep time go quicker. I'm loving this food processor and can't wait to use it on more great recipes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

this is the best food processor I have ever used! I slice a bushel of pickles in 1.2 hour and they were perfect!

I come from a culinary background and I am used to machines that are a bit more powerful, that being said I have used other brands of home processors and they seemed to power through items a little better. I do like the graduated start on the blade and the seal on the bowl but I think it should have more power for the 14 cup size of the bowl. I was making a batch of chimichurri and the blade slipped up and off the center shaft as it was on high. It melted a bit of the tip of the shaft but once I cleaned and removed the melted plastic the blade fit back on and I have used it since without further problems. Next time I might look for a different size or brand.

I received this food processor in exchange for a new one that was defective. I was pleased that KitchenAid was thoughtful enough to upgrade me at no further expense. This machine runs fine and stands up to the high quality of the company. I highly recommend this food processor! It works great!!

We love our food processor! It's much sturdier than our old one and it holds much more. Even my two-year-old can stand on a step stool and help me put things in safely and push the button without me having to worry about his safety. We use it when we're making soups, ratatouille, side dishes, casseroles, pretty much anything! We cook dinner every night in our house, so having a food processor is a must, and this one is fabulous. We use the dicing kit and the larger blade regularly, and the dough blade I use for pie doughs and the like. I absolutely LOVE this machine and I will never go without it again!

I got this food processor as a replacement of a previous one that was defective. KA was very helpful in the process and I am very satisfied with the new processor. It looks great in my kitchen, it is very easy to clean and so far the stress test that I applied --almond butter making-- had great results.

This would be a 5 star food processor if it had the large feed chute of the 13 cup, 11 cup,9 cup and the 16 cup models. If I had known I would have bought the 13 cup and the dicer attachment separately. The food processor performs well but slicing could be better. Dicing works well. As for chopping, My Kitchenaid stick blender with chopping attachment does a better job of finely chopping vegetables (inluding moise ones) without starting to liquify or puree them then the food processor does. This is the first time I have been disappointed in a Kitchenaid Product. I own Kitchenaid several small AND major appliances!
