Blade spins but doesn't chop

This failed two weeks from brand new while chopping some already diced mild cheddar cheese. The spindle is designed so poorly that the blade is unable to withstand the slightest bit of resistance. The loud grinding sound and blade stopping was not a good sign. The spindle has two tiny paddles to transmit the force needed to spin the blade, totally inadequate for chopping anything substantial. Don't waste your time, there are better designed products for just a little more. Here you get what you pay for. Oh, the spindle rusted in just two weeks, what more do you need to know.

I received this unit for review. At first I got it for myself. But then I had my mother, who has bad arthritic hands, try this. And it was perfect for her. This small processor makes chopping/dicing anything easy including fruits, vegetables, onion, etc. My mother would used to spend a lot of time slowly chopping, or just ask us to help her chop. But with this, it has restored her ability to cook and more importantly, enjoyment of cooking. IT's also very easy to clean up and rinse. Lastly, the compact size makes it very easy to store. I would highly recommend this !

First thing I like about this chopper, easy to clean the cup, blade and lid are dishwasher safe. If you've ever had an item with a secure blade, it can be difficult to clean, however, this machine eliminates that pain. To test, I cut one medium sized apple into various size chunks. As seen in the picture, 2/3 chopped well while 1/3 cup remained chunks. One star lost, though not a deal breaker. It took less than 10 seconds to chop. The portion that chopped was satisfactory. Good machine. Great gift for anyone.

I am reviewing the Mainstays 1.5 cup mini food chopper. I used the food chopper for mincing garlic and chopping onions. I am expanding my cooking horizons with this tool. I am a beginner in the kitchen and I am enjoying how easy this tool makes cutting veggies. It can mince a garlic clove like a dream. I also used it to chop an onion, but my onion piece I used was almost 2 inches so next time I'll cut it smaller because after using this chopper some pieces were a little on the long side for me. Cleanup is so quick and simple since all the dirty parts disassemble for washing. The only downside to this chopper so far is I have trouble clicking the lid in place, but I think I just need to get more practice as my husband gets it to click in place easily. (The machine has a safety feature so it wont turn on unless the lid is closed and secure.) I also wish the box or the instructions went over the features of this chopper so I could have a better idea of what this machine could chop or what might be inappropriate for this machine to chop. All in all this gadget is a great addition to my kitchen!

Perfect compact size for those who have limited space or rarely need items chopped. This is perfect for a small family, couples, or a single person to aid in food preparation. Great for chopping onions, nuts, fruits, and vegetables. This is a pulse touch system with enough power for the job. A true test of quality for a chopper is nuts and seeds - this mini-food chopper can hold its own. I have a larger chopper and a ninja food processor because I cook from scratch everyday. I do a great deal of baking therefore I chop and process a large variety of fruits, vegetables, ice, and nuts. This little guy is going to be used to chop meats and vegetables for a 2 year old, so far she is thrilled with her new meal preparations. Beef roast, pork chops, and chicken are easily shredded just right for a 2 year old to feed themselves. Easy to clean, sharp blades, powerful chopper, great product.

The mini food chopper is pretty powerful for chopping up veggies etc. It's great for quick counter top use due to it's small size. It's awesome for chopping onions, no more tears !! It has a stainless steel blade. Lid has a safe lock on it so no messes. The cup is see thru so you see what is being chopped. It comes pretty much put together so no need for assembly. It has a one touch pulse operation and it is easy to use. I would recommend this to friends & family. 4 out of 5 stars for me.

This is just excellent! We live this Mainstays 1.5-Cup Mini Food Chopper \u2013 One-Touch Pulse, Stainless Steel Blade. It may be on the smaller side bit it certainly does work excellent. I have used it almost everyday since I got it. I use it to chop veggies, fruits. It has been wondeful, so easy to use and easy to clean as well. Everything about it has made my daily life so much easier. So much better than chopping veggies or fruits by hand. So quick, easy, powerful. I would recommend this mini chopper to anyone looking for something that actually works good for the money you pay for it. I did receive this item for free to try for being a spark reviewer.

It's a cute little chopper fits very easily on my counter I love that it doesn't take up a whole Lotta space in the black matches my blender and my Nespresso coffee maker I was need an new chopper due to my ninja died on me a few months ago also timing was awesome at this I have a senior Yorky she's 14 years old I am and what I do for my dogs as I make homemade dog food and I chop it for her you know with her age and her teeth well and that's the first thing I tried to make I shopped ups are use at the chop up some chicken But you can only use a half a cup at a time that's the only thing but it doesn't bother me I like that I'm chopping a small amounts everything is consistently small so if you look at the pictures that's my first try with some oven baked chicken I like it it works it's small and the price point is very affordable

Hi, I am a Wal-Mart Sparks Reviewer and today I will be doing a review on the MainStays 1.5 Cup Mini Chopper . This is an awesome little mini chopper. I used it to chop up half of an onion and it diced it in mini pieces within a matter of seconds. Now, I don't have to worry about cutting it with a knife and having teary eyes. I love the interlocking lid that secures the food inside to keep it from splattering. When placed inside the chopper base, I had to make sure the lid was twisted underneath the base for chopping. It does have a minimum and maximum line for how much can be put into the chopper. It's quick and easy to use and has a push button on top. I love the fact that the push button allows you to control the speed of the blade. I also love the way it can blend an onion and any other vegetable of your choice. It is an excellent chopper. However, the only thing I wish was that it was made a little bit bigger to chop larger portions for larger meals. It is a great chopper for fixing a meal for about 2 or maybe 3 people. Overall, it's so cute and takes up very little space on your countertop. Love it!
