I gave this toaster 1 star because it's very cute. Otherwise it's worth nothing. I set it up for toasting on a setting just halfway for the first try and it burned the toast so badly that I had to throw the bread away. On the second try it toasted one side of the bread just fine and the other side was completely uncooked. On the bagel setting it toasted the inside of the bagel very nicely but the outside was stone cold from the refrigerator. None of that was acceptable so I took it back to the store. With all the technology in the world how come we can't come up with a simple toaster that works? Thankfully WalMart was very nice about the return.

Why can't we find a good consistent toaster at any price? Seems like every toaster has an issue. It either toasts one side more than the other, like this one, or it toasts inconsistently, like the last one we had. Price doesn't seem to matter. Just disappointing!

I spent a LOT of time doing research and checking reviews for toasters, since usually this is an item you don't usually replace every couple of years. I never heard of the "NESCO" brand before, but decided to give it a try. It is definitely a keeper. This toaster not only looks good, it does its job beautifully. You can tell by picking it up that it is was designed with quality in mind. I am glad I made the decision to give this product a try. Keep up the good work, NESCO!

So far, so good. Too early to give it a full 5 rating. But it toasts evenly and tho it's only a 2 slice, less bulky than the 4 slice we had. We like it

Love my new, red Nesco toaster.
It looks and works great, has nice, wide slots for toasting bagels and gets them perfectly toasted each time. The controls are retro and easy to use with the up to date convenience of today's upgrades. A great choice, glad I purchased it.
