I haven't used the wireless blender yet but I received it pretty fast so thats a plus within its self

I received this immersion blender as a gift. I was thrilled and the first time I used it, was so happy. It was quick and easy and everything I hoped it would be. The second time I used it the plastic circle around the blade cracked and bent. I was looking to buy a replacement "head" but seems to be cost prohibitive.

I really wanted to love this, but the second time I used this immersion blender, the plastic housing on the blade assembly cracked. I was pulsing strawberries, so it was not over taxing. I would buy another blade assembly but it seems it is just as cheap to buy another whole product. What a waste. Very disappointed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I had only seen these on the television cooking shows, but wanted to see how useful it would be for me. When the opportunity arose for me to actually get one, I jumped at the chance. The appearance is deceiving, because the blade element looks rather small. I was further uncertain, when the instructions stipulated that it not be run for more than one minute. The manual says after operating for one minute you must let it rest for three minutes before using again. I thought, wow it will take forever to complete a recipe. NOT SO! This little thing is much more powerful than it appears. My initial use was in the preparation of some sweet potato pies. I thought it would be useful to make the filling a little smoother. There are only two (2) operating settings, slow pulse and fast pulse. Since I was new at this, I just used the slow pulse. Even at that setting, it attacked the mixture aggressively and LIQUIFIED it in well under the one minute. The mixture was SO liquid that I was not sure whether or not to add the milk required in the recipe. I really like this hand blender, and I plan to search out more recipes where it can be used. If you love to cook, you will love this little ‘do-hicky'.

I chose this Oster Immersion Hand Blender with variable speed, to have a different type of gadget in my kitchen for doing quick things. It took me a while to figure out what I can do or make with it, with supplies I already had on hand. I didn't have any fruit available to use, so I improvised a bit. With my teenaged granddaughter's help, we made up some chocolate smoothies! I used some hot cocoa mix, milk and ice and away we went. They were DELICIOUS too! I will later on try it out on soups and sauces, but for now, seeing the smile on my granddaughter's face was priceless! The Oster Immersion Hand Blender IS a pretty handy little gadget to have in a kitchen!

Model 2609 has a 250 watt motor that handles tough little jobs. It has an ergonomic handle with two speed settings plus pulse AND one handed blending versatility. The detachable shaft design makes for easy cleanup too. Directions say not to put cup and detachable wand in the dishwasher, but the top shelf worked fine for me. There is a measuring cup with a lid so you can blend and store without any extra mess. Works like a charm with frozen fruit and smoothies. Great for making hummus and salsas! Not sure how much heat the immersion handle will take without melting. It seems somewhat awkward to store.

I have wanted to try the immersion blender because I see it used on cooking shows a lot but I never expected it to be so powerful and fast. This appliance is great because instead of putting your food in a blender, you bring the blender to the food, so you are saving time keeping your food in one pan. I used it to make a milkshake in the cup that you get with the blender and it turned out great in no time and it really mixes up scrambled eggs with just a push of the button located on the handle where it is convenient to push one of two speeds. I can't wait to try it for mixing up fruits for jam, fresh tomato's for soup, dips and discovering many other ways to use it. The Oster blender is simple to clean and it comes with a loop at the end so you can hang it up until you need it again and it makes life easier. I love it!

First, this would make a great gift selection for anyone. It is easy to grip and mix up from dry powder ingredients. It has an easy to use measuring cup with lid and can mix the product in it and store any extra for another use. Use for making creamy sauces or blending frozen fruits for smoothies. Helpful in blending veggies. There are 2 speeds to blend plus a pulse blend. The unit has 250 Watt motor. The shaft can be removed for easier cleaning. Stainless Steel blades is another feature. Haven't used it a lot, but so far it is doing really well.

I love that it is plastic rather than the competition's metal one but sometimes the power is too much for the mixing cup that comes with it. It sometimes sprays on the machine itself and on my sleeve.

I have one of these in chrome and I use it constantly. I purchased the red one for my sister who is crazy about it. She can't get over how powerful it is and has been making soups like crazy. She could not thank me enough. I am pleased with your service as well as products.
