Oster 4-slice Long Slot Toaster, Stainless Steel Reviews

Does not come close to being good! Toasts uneven and in some cases leaves bread completely white on bottom of slice.

I have used oster long slot toaster for past 7 years. The first one I used for almost 6 years, and we decided to get a new one same kind because we loved it. Unfortunately second one was lower quality and the toast holder in the center was too small. we had to be very carefull and putting bread or waffles on it, as they easily fell inside from sides of holder. BUT 4 days ago, our toaster caught fire! luckily I was right there and saw immediately, but the fire grew immediately and we had to run with the burning toaster outside of house as fast as we could. Don't know what happened and how it caught fire, but it was scary!! We were so scared, didn't think of taking photos or making video at that time.

This large, attractive, stainless-steel toaster works very well. While it doesn't toast perfectly evenly, it works better than "good enough" for everyday use in our family. Bread toasts promptly, pop tarts heat well, and it is simple while still offering some nice features. Being as large as it is, I do wish there was some way to only use half of the toaster at times. For example, toasting two slices a bread could be done using only one of the two extra-long slots. Overall, it is a good toaster, fairly priced, and very attractive. Overall I enjoy this toaster. It is very pretty and am happy to leave it out on my counter all the time. It comes with a few setting to adjust how dark it toasts. My biggest complaint with the toaster is that the slot is not quite long enough for two slices of bread. I can put 4 slices in all together, but it overlaps a little bit. It's not a big deal, I am still happy with it. That is the only thing I would change. Overall, I am happy with this toaster. The aesthetics of it is nice. It's looks like a high quality toaster. I am overall happy with the quality of this toaster. It was a little unusual looking when first taking it out of the box, with the two extra large slots. However, it didn't take too long to get used to it. It toasts food very effectively and evenly for me and the different settings work as they are designed to. The only negative that I would identify with the product is that the cord is a little too short. Because of the large size of the toaster, it is awkward to have on the counter. Having a longer cord would allow this to be placed in a more convenient area. I rate this toaster 4 of 5 stars. Note: I was given this toaster as a in-house trial to sample.

Pros: Nice appearance with brushed stainless steel. Convenient for toasting 4 slices. Cons: Performance does not meet expectations. Toasting not consistent throughout. Food facing outwards does not cook well as the side facing inwards. Every time I cook waffles, one side of waffle is crisp with some burnt marks while the other side is soft and undercooked at a level 3 setting. If setting is adjusted, one side of food will be burnt or very undercooked. Bagels were burnt at a level 3 setting and has to be toasted at the lowest setting. Overall: I would return back to my good old 2-slice toaster based on picking performance over look.

I just had a few weeks owning this product but I am already in love with it. The two long and wide slots are the best feature. My old toaster had four slots but they were very thin and my bread didn't used to fit in properly. Sometimes I had to cut the bread in half if it was too thick or cut the sides of the bread if the bread size was too long. This new toaster by Osler is just perfect, the extra long and wide spots can fit in any kind and size of bread in it. It is very modern looking and looks perfect in my new kitchen. I would recommend it to anyone who is in the market to buy a new toaster.

I replaced my old toaster with this Oster 4-slice toaster and I am 100% happy with the upgrade!! This toaster fits nicely on my counter top and matches the rest of my stainless appliances already in my kitchen. My family has always been big on making toast, any time of day, and have no complaints about the replacement. We eat bagels, wide type breads and homemade breads regularly, and I gotta say... this 4-slice long-slot toaster is perfect for all types of breads. I recieved this Oster toaster about 3 wks ago, as a sample product to review, and I am very pleased that I was chosen for this product. 5stars!!!

Overall a great product. It has a couple different features-frozen & bagel. I really like the frozen feature, as I frequently freeze my bread or bagels to preserve them. This makes it easy to prepare right in the toaster. It's a big longer than I'd like, I prefer a side-by-side to be shorter, but this is just due to counter constraints. It took a couple times to gauge the darkness/toasting level, but once I figured out where I prefer it, it was wonderful. Frozen slices aren't soggy and they are heated and toasted thoroughly without being burnt. This is a great looking toaster and would be right for someone who needs to do a lot of quick toasting, maybe for a large family. It takes up too much countertop space for me to be worth keeping. The toasting quality is sub-par resulting in uneven toasting. One side of my toaster doesn't line bread in the center but leans it to one side making one side way more done than the other. The other slot is fine, so I think the company's quality control is lacking. If both slots are centered it does okay but seems to toast thicker bread and bagels better than thin slices which get burnt around the edges. Overall this toaster is cheaply constructed and there are probably better similar products out there. You get what you pay for!
