I love using a french press. Since my days as a barista, I have learned that a french press makes the best cup of coffee that I have tasted. It allows the grounds to stay in contact with the water longer and there's no paper filter to catch the oils released when the coffee is brewed. This maximizes the coffees flavor. This coffee press is first and foremost beautiful. It has a lovely copper finish. The glass carafe allows you to see your coffee as it is made. Makes a great cup of coffee. Such a nice addition to my coffee regime. I love using a coffee press to make my coffee each morning. I think this one will create many great cups of coffee and last for a long time.

I was a little intimidated about getting a french press as I have never used one. I was surprised at how incredibly easy to use it was and how bold the coffee turned out. The handle is very comfortable in your hand and you don't have to worry about getting burned. Following the instructions to brew the perfect cup of coffee is simple and fast. Can't wait to take this with us camping! Boil water over the fire and still get to have coffee! It is very pretty and easy to clean.

I have to say this is an amazing product that makes coffee taste so great. My husband is a coffee fan and He loves to have a cup of coffee every morning, I occasionally have a cup of coffee as well but this coffee maker makes the coffee taste so great, it is trully amazing. Both my husband and I loved it.

This makes an excellent very strong cup of coffee! Totally makes enough for a couple of people. The lid and plunger are pretty solid. It can be a pain to clean but doesn't cost me any more time than what my drip does. Love the color, much better in person than in pics.

I received the Primula Melrose 8 cup French press. I think this French Press is so cute and I love the Copper! The copper color is so nice looking that I feel like I could even leave it on my counter for decoration. There is Borosilicate Glass on this thing to make it more sturdy. The glass is also temperature safe because you basically have to pour in really hot water! The press part has a nice mesh ring that allows you to push down the coffee. I will note to use course coffee in this press, the fine coffee will clog the filter. I filled this with the hot water and make sure to not fill more than 1 inch from the top. The ratio is 1 tablespoon of coffee to 4 ounces of water. Then allow the coffee to brew for atleast 4 minutes, continue to steep if you would like stronger flavor. Also press the plunger slowly into the coffee, if you press too fast then it will squirt out the top. But this little thing is great to have around the house to add style to your house because it is so cute and shiny. Would be perfect for function and added style to your kitchen. Such a gorgeous color with great coffee!

This item is absolutely beautiful. The copper is stunning to have on my counter or breakfast table. I love the the glass beaker comes out, making it easy to clean. The 8 cup idea is a little misleading, since a cup is technically 4oz in their opinion. I can make on full 'pot' and it is two large mugs of coffee.

I got this to try out as my sister has one and I loved how the coffee came out. Pro: Easy to use Quick coffee I can put it on my table and not worry about it burning. Cons: Only makes a few cups That is pretty much my only problem but I love it otherwise Also love the design and color.

To start with, the Primula Melrose 8 Cup French Press Coffee Maker in Copper is beautiful. The glass and copper combination has gorgeous aesthetics and looks terrific on your counter. It's clearly a high quality piece, and simply but well made. I've never used a French Press that I recall, but the instructions were very easy to follow. I used medium course coffee grounds and was concerned they'd be too small and clog the filter, but it didn't. Brewing is so easy, and the coffee turns out perfectly. I steeped for about 4 minutes and the coffee tasted medium, rich and delicious. I drink just 1 cup of coffee in the morning, and having a press just makes sense. But even if I have company over, I can definitely brew enough to go around.

This coffee press looks nice but is not made very well. The copper part is actually crooked so the pitcher is tilted when sitting on the table. I never used a coffee press before, but I drink a lot of coffee so I was excited to try this. Unfortunately, I ended up being disappointed. I was expecting to squeeze the coffee grounds when I pressed down on the plunger, but it just works as a filter. It's not long enough to actually press down on the grounds. The main advantage of using a coffee press is you don't have to use a coffee filter and there are no kcups to worry about filling up a landfill. There are several drawbacks however. You have to use a lot of coffee grounds. 2 tablespoons for an 8oz cup. You also have to heat the water yourself, which if you boil on the stove, can be very time consuming you also have to use a measuring cup to measure the amount of water your using. The water also cools off as your waiting for the coffee to steap, so if you like your coffee really hot, this is not the method for you. In the instructions, a cup of coffee is considered 4oz,so this makes only 3, 8oz cups at a time.
