Ordered this online for the COVID19 isolation when I got flu like symptoms. Used it to boil water for coffee, make noodles and pasta. Washes clean no after taste. So versatile I love it!

I found it worked great......however when heating soup etc it bubbles and splashes out of the pouring spout. Temperature is tricky to get right but with practice I'm sure I'll get the hang of it.

I have purchased these before. I use it daily so I have to replace it every couple of years but it is a good product.

I can't speak for the brand, but I've owned these for YEARS. My Grandmother introduced me to these, & I know them as a "Hot Pot". We always travel with one. I actually own two! As for use, these are perfect for traveling, & would be great for kids in dorms. They do a LOT. You can boil water, (& therefore cook any food that needs boiled/boiling water, such as mac & cheese) cook soups, etc. I've even used it to heat a small gel pad. (On the lowest setting, watch closely, & only pads that are heated via hot water) They boil water FAST, so don't go far. I've had my oldest one over 4 years now, the other about 2 1/2 years, & they work great! Be careful not to scorch the plate at the bottom, (if that's how this one heats) otherwise everything will taste scorched from then on. These are small & portable, which I love! I travel with my husband a lot for his job, & ALWAYS have mine with me. I drink tea, but real tea drinkers know you need BOLING water, & coffee makers (ALL) don't boil water, & even in restaurants it's barely warmer than tap water. Most hotels now have mini fridges, so we bring our own tea, milk, & foods like soup, mac & cheese, etc., & cut down on meal costs, plus, you can have your food, (& drinks) YOUR WAY.
Only downfall is the size. I believe the capacity is 4 cups, & I would only fill to 3 1/2 at max if boiling, as it REALLY boils. Also, be EXTREMELY careful opening the top with hot water/ingredients inside, to prevent burns, as the top can stick a tiny bit. Just be cautious & make sure you grip the pot on the spout side, while level on a counter, & SLOWLY open. It has to grip a bit, as this avoids the cover from spilling open when pouring hot water. Just use common sense. :)
I'm thrilled that these are still being made. I know they've been around over 40 years, so they must be purchased/used.
Recommended for traveling & small home/dorms, or where space is an issue, as it's a multi use product. I'll ALWAYS own one!

I really like this item, being 62 with memory issues and a badly broken leg it has made warming soups, stews and liquids up so much easier, my personal support workers like it as well as it is quick and easy to use, I thought , though, there was a shut off timer on it but it does not have one and with memory issues I would have liked one with that feature.

I bought two of these for travelling and they work great. I've used it on a few 3 week trips with no problems before I took it on a 1 year trip around the world. I used it in every country. Sometimes with a power converter and it never failed me. I still use these pots today after 4 yrs with no problems. I've made Pasta sauces from scratch, Curries, rice and I also boiled water. lol I made a video of making a curry heres the link.

I purchased this for my Mother who is 95 years old. She has been reluctant to use the gas stove in the evening when I am not there. This is the perfect solution for heating soups, etc. It even boils pasta. I also purchased one for my grandson who will be going off to college. The is a very useful product for under $20.

Very useful, its just that It would be better if the cord is detached from the unit itself, but still I am satisfied with the product..now I can warm/heat canned foods

The Salton multi pot proved to be everything I wanted, so handy for taking on trips. The soup and sauces warmed up very quickly. I was delighted with it.

This is the third or fourth one I have purchased. The pot is more versatile than a regular kettle in that it can be used to cook other foods in addition to boiling water. The main problem is that he bottom tends to wear out with use and the pot will soon not work after a while. Despite this, I still prefer this pot over a regular kettle for its versatility.
