It can on time, tried it and it did not work......defective. Took it back to Walmart and they are getting me my credit back and I will go in to the store this time and buy it there. No waiting for delivery, etc.

I was pleased when I opened the box because this toaster is so cute, compact, yet has wide slots. The problem is that it doesn't work! Only one side of the toaster heats up. It's going back!
