We've been using a KAs orginial Pour Over Brewer KCM0801 maker daily for hot brews and finally this last week we had issues, premature water release from the tank, thus incomplete brewing and warm coffee. As noted before this has been the reason some users downgraded their rating, returned the brewer or simply gave up and wrote the unit off as a bad purchase. Well, I was about to do this since the unit was well past warranty, then gave it some thought, re-read the manual and figured just maybe I failed to descale the unit frequently, thus the 'precise water flow control' value was not controlling water flow from the tank. So I used s 50% vinegar mix once, twice and several more times until BINGO, I believe its back to its old self of giving us daily great tasting cups of coffee. I've also used dishwasher soap in the unit, which may be helping. One added suggestion, stick a instant read cooking thermometer into the tank to insure your unit rises to 200 degrees plus, ours still does. These unit's are not $cheap, so descale frequently to insure a long satisfactory daily brew.

I've had this product a few weeks. Undeniably, the coffee is delicious, and the machine is easy to use. I opt for the programmable function so that I have coffee ready first thing in the morning. I only wish that the pot was larger (10 cups) and that it would retain the heat longer. Otherwise, completely satisfied with this purchase.

This coffee maker looks great and is easy to use but I'm disappointed because the coffee doesn't brew hot enough. I've had cheaper brands that make great tasting and nice hot coffee but this one needs some work. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Kitchen Aid, you really disappointed me on this product. I won't even go into all the kitchen aid appliances I have and love and that is why I bought this coffee maker even though I read a few reviews saying the coffee maker has it problems. It makes a great tasting cup of coffee but you have to microwave every cup before you drink it because it is either just warm or cool. If you use the recommended amount of coffee in the basket it normally will flow over and you have a mess and that was with course ground beans. After 7 days of frustration I returned it and bought another coffee maker. I was very disappointed in the product. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Love the coffee, it truly makes great coffee. The problem is they haven't really perfected the machine. First the heater for the coffee pot only stays on for 1 hour and there is no way to change that. This just isn't enough time. Most coffee makers are at least 2 hours. The programming and settings are easy to use but confusing and not intuitive. The machine has a mind of it's own. This is now my 3rd unit having been replaced by the retailer twice and the manufacturer once. It now have to be replaced again. Most recent problem I had was that I set it for my usual 4 cups which it is always set at and it made 6 cups. I just had very weak coffee. For an expensive coffee maker I'm very frustrated and I hate to have to waste more time handling this. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

I've had this coffee maker for a month and use it every day. It makes great coffee, daily cleaning is simple, and filling it with coffee and water are easy tasks. If you read other reviews that say that the water takes too long to heat or that they wish it brewed more coffee, or that the warmer doesn't stay on long enough (30 minutes in the Op Manual)--it feels like they're describing a normal auto-drip coffee maker. This wasn't designed for making lots of coffee quickly for lots of people; it was designed to make a few really good cups of coffee at a time that shouldn't be kept on a warmer for long. Long story short: After a month, I'm satisfied with this coffee maker. It's expensive, but makes quality coffee. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Makes okay coffee. I don't find it to be any different or better than what my old, cheap drip machine produced. I don't like that you can't access the water tank for cleaning. You can see moisture in the little window even though I leave the slider on top open to allow it to vent. I fear that mildew will begin to grow because of the constant state of moisture maintained there.

Makes excellent tasting coffee that is easy and simple to use. Beautiful design that looks great on the counter. It's well made with quality materials. Coffee is hot and the machine enhances to flavor of the beans. Perfect coffee maker and well worth the price.

I received this coffee maker as a birthday gift about 6 weeks ago. I really liked it, but recently the button letters started to fade. The letters have worn off from normal daily pressing. I haven't had the need to clean the buttons, so it wasn't due to cleaning. I have handled this coffee maker with the utmost care, and it's so disappoiting to have this happeng after so little use. The sliding lid on the top where the water poured is a little curved. I thought it was normal until I noticed in a store display that it should be completely flat. Also, the carafe could have been better designed, as it's difficult serving the last cups; the lid opens, and it spills. I don´t have any complaints about the coffee making. It's just that I expected a lot more quality, given that it's a pricy machine. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

I chose this beautifully designed coffee maker based on the credibility of Kitchen Aid and the unit's stunning design. Not a good judgement call on my behalf given the extraordinarily poor quality demonstrated by this purchase. One week following my purchase, the printing on the control pad buttons wore off. Additionally, the Kitchen Aid logo washed off. Given the quality/product integrity as evidenced by 1-week of limited usage (2 cups per day), I do not expect this high-priced unit to last until 2017. I can overlook the cheap plastic and less-than-perfect problem with water sediment that never dries in the cup level indicator, but logos and control pads washing off is an irresponsible flaw and big check mark against purchasing this coffee maker and Kitchen Aid. Don't buy it. I cannot speak for the rest of this line, yet use your own judgement based on the performance as evidenced by this product in the Kitchen Aid line.
