I had another Krups grinder for 20 years. It is still going strong, except for a little plastic wearing on the inside edge of the cap. I still use it. Needed another one dedicated to heavy spice grinding and of course bought another Krups grinder. This grinder cap edge is protected more in an updated design. I expect I will have the same great service from it.

Grinds coffee. Gave 4 stars because this is not the original one I purchased. The first one arrived broken, returned it for a replacement. The replacement seems fine so far. It grinds coffee beans. I haven't used it for large batches, but it seems to work fine for what I need it to do. This is my first go at grinding my own beans so I will update this review once I use it more.

I purchased this coffee grinder over 15 years ago and it still works great. Only thing is the push pin broke to activate the grinder when the lid accidently dropped. Although We still used it by inserting a poker to start the machine. I looked everywhere for a replacement and could not find one anywhere. I ended up purchasing 3 different coffee grinders, 1 broke within 10 days, another was way too loud, and the other had too small of a cup. All 3 I returned. When I finally found the same coffee grinder I was so excited. Finally I have my coffee grinder back. I love this grinder. It has the perfect size cup to grind a full 12 cups of coffee. (We love strong coffee) Don't even need to measure. Still have the old one as a back up. Best thing I ever bought, last forever. Like the energizer bunny, We love it.

Spice grinder is what I needed and wanted and is exactly what I got! I have a coffee grinder so I have no cross contamination! It does a great job! You can adjust the coarseness to fineness to your desire.
