the thing makes a great cup of coffee. I use strong brew ,like mine with a little kick, it took 15 minutes to brew and the 2 hrs.' shut off used the brew time too.it has a brew sneak a cup ability. it has a regular brew but I like to get all I can from my coffee grounds. The instructions took 6 minutes to read before your knowledgeable enough to make your first brewed coffee. the hot shot station works great it makes a great cup of Swiss miss hot chocolate.it makes 2 cup .13 oz. mug, of hot chocolate. the power to the hot shot station goes off when desired temp has been reached.it takes 3 minutes to make 2 13oz mugs of hot water.

I received this Mr Coffee maker and Hot Water Station to do a review on. Im a hugh coffee drinker, and i need a cup of coffee just to start my day. This Mr Coffee maker has everything you need and is perfect to me. This is the best coffee maker i ever owed from Mr Coffee brand. It makes twelve, five ounces cups of coffee. It brews a full pot of coffee in less than four minutes. This was very surprising to me and a big plus for me because im a busy single mom. This Mr Coffee maker is programmable so that you can wake up to coffee in the morning. You can program your Mr Coffee up to twenty-four hours in advance. It has a self cleaning feature which is good so your coffee will taste fresh each time you have a cup. This makes coffee drinkers happy to have a fresh cup of coffee. The coffee maker has a setting for a regular or strong coffee. This is a great feature because it allows you to choose. The hot water station is a great feature, the hot water station can be used for tea, making hot cereal from packs like oatmeal, cream of wheat, or hot chocolate. The hot water station, water gets really hot so you will need to be careful. I truly do recommend this Mr Coffee maker. It will go well in any kitchen, the black and stainless steel color is a modern look.

This coffee maker is easy to program and as well as to clean. It notifies you with a beep when the cycle has run and also runs a very quick cycle. It has a self-cleaning option and lets you know when it's finished cleaning by beeping. The decanter and filter basket are both a breeze to clean as well because they are both dishwasher safe. The hot station heats up very quickly and get hot fast so be very careful when this this feature. It comes in handy for hot chocolate and ramen soup for the cold days, the only down side that it's a little awkward to maneuver. Another feature that the Mr. Coffee 12-cup Coffee maker offers is that it will tell you how long coffee has been sitting. This coffee maker has a very sleek and modern look with its black and stainless color and design. This coffee maker is a must if you are a coffee lover. I would recommend this coffee maker. The Mr. Coffee 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker and Hot Water Station (Black) is a great coffeemaker. This is an attractive and functional countertop coffeemaker. In testing the unit I made full pots of coffee and partial pots (e.g., 6 cups) to test that function and the taste. I was very pleased with the flavor and the temperature was hot - some coffeemakers don't get the coffee hot enough. The “Brew Strength” button worked and made the coffee noticeably stronger. I also like the “Fresh Brew Timer” button that changes the clock display to show how long the pot of coffee has been on the warmer since it was brewed. I also used the coffeemaker to make a large pitcher of iced tea by using the 1-quart tea bags in the brew basket and running 2 brew cycles of water through the coffeemaker. After each cycle I poured the tea into a plastic pitcher that I chilled in the refrigerator and the iced tea was excellent. The hot water station, which has its own separate water reservoir, also did a great job. I made individual cups of hot tea using the “Hot Shot Station” and I also made some instant oatmeal and instant grits using hot water from the dispenser. In both cases the water was sufficiently hot to mix well and the items were good. The “Clean” button starts the clean cycle and I look forward to using that when it's needed to keep calcium deposits from the water under control. The countertop footprint is rather large with the coffeemaker and the hot water station, but I am pleased with the product and like its appearance as well as the functionality. I highly recommend it.

As far as I am concerned, this coffeemaker has everything right and so far, nothing wrong! It makes 12, five ounce cups quickly and the coffee is piping hot. That's something my last coffeemaker had problems with as the coffee after brewing, was not as hot as I like it to be. There is a “Pause and Serve” feature that allows you to fill your cup quickly, even in the middle of brewing the pot! It also has a second “hot water station” where you can heat up to 16 ounces of water that can be used for hot cereals, tea, or hot chocolate. The “drip tray” for this area can be removed for easy cleaning too. This hot water station feature is a real time saver when you have family who each want something different to drink. No more heating water separately on the stove top or in the microwave. Display controls are large, and it's easy to see the time and settings. It has a delayed brew setting that allows you to have the coffee freshly made and ready for you when you get up in the mornings. Nothing like waking to the smell of freshly brewed coffee. This one gets 5 stars easily!

I'm sorry to have to report a disappointing experience on this; however, this awesome coffee machine scared the bejeezus out of an elderly family member unexpectedly. Perhaps we received a problematic unit but I'm concerned about the safety features nonetheless. The coffee brewing side worked as expected. The quick, hot water side worked fast and hot also. Regrettably, an older person stuck an empty cup in it when no one was around to help and hit the On button to get some hot tea brewed. As you might guess, it got hotter than ___ with no water in the tank and smoke came rolling out of the machine. I was surprised that a safety feature didn't prevent that from happening. Since then, my wife and I have used this without incident; however, I suspect there may be a problem with internal heat shutoff sensors. Mr. Coffee, please fix this if it is a design issue!

We are so pleased with our new coffeemaker. I'm not a coffee drinker so my husband has his coffee and I have my tea prepared all together. First of all, it is a very attractive unit with lots of bells and whistles that allow you to perform quite a few neat tasks, like a pause and serve feature that lets you pause and pour a cup before the cycle is finished. There is a brew strength selector and a two hour auto shut off. It's programmable so you can set the time for your coffee to begin brewing in the morning and wake up to fresh coffee. A fresh brew timer tells you how long your coffee has been waiting for you. There is a water window, a non-stick warming plate and cord storage so you don't have to have a long, ugly cord on the counter. The "hot shot" feature let you prepare your tea, oatmeal, etc. with just a touch of the button. All in all we are just very happy with this product and of course what my husband is most interested in . . . he says it makes a great cup of coffee! I use to fix my tea in the microwave, but for some reason, this just seems better and more fun! Highly recommend.

THE SETTINGS FOR REGULAR AND STRONG COFFEE IS WONDERFUL THIS IS A GREAT FEATURE . THE 16.OZ HOT WATER STATION IS A MULTIFUNCTIONAL GENIUS YOU CAN DO MANY JOBS WITH THE ROOM FOR A 16 OZ TALL TRAVEL MUG , BIG COFFEE MUG AND BOWLS FOR HOT CEREAL OR SOUPS. THE WATER RESERVIOR AND THE 160 DEGREES HOT WATER MAKE IT EASY TO DO IT ALL . THE PAUSE N SERVE IS A FEATURE THAT IS USED OFTEN . THE DELAY BREW IS SIMPLE TO USE AND PROGRAMING THIS FEATURE IS PERFECT .THE FRESH BREW IS A WONDERFUL ADD ON TO HAVE IT LETS YOU KNOW HOW LONG THE COFFEE HAS BEEN BREWED . the first thing I would like to say about this coffee maker it is the nicest one iv had I have always used mr coffee coffee makers for several years now and enjoy great tasting coffee I have had this coffee maker for several days now and have really put it to the test it has operated without flaw and always produce a great cup of coffee and the hot water station is so convenient when one of the kids want hot choc, or the misses wants a cup of tea or if im running late and need to get out the door and just have a enough time for some hot instant cereal. several of the features I like about this coffee maker is the hot water reservoirs is separate from each other that way you can make a full pot of coffee and still have the hot water for other beverages and the built in clock and timer you can set the timer to brew your coffee right before you wake up so when you get up if your like my wife and I and the first thing you go for is a hot cup of coffee it will be ready to pour this coffee maker will brew up to 12 cups of coffee and the hot water station will produce 16 oz of hot water that could be 2 cups of hot choc, or 2 serving of hot cereal like oat meal or cream of wheat and if you need more hot water it can have it heated in 4 min and I say that is great some more feathers is 2hrs shut off keeps your coffee hot for 2 hours and cuts off automatic brew strength selector delay brew self cleaning cycle makes cleaning easy illuminated clock removable brew basket hot water on and off for just when youll just making coffee and you don't need extra hot water water dispensing handle cord storage removable drip tray cover this is a great coffee maker I have already recommend to family and friends and any one who needs a coffee maker this will also make a great gift with the holidays coming up

I have used the Mr. Coffee brand for quite some time. I typically use the single cup. Thought I would try this Coffeemaker for the features that this machine has. Some of the many features this Coffeemaker has are: Hot water dispensing which usually takes about 4 minutes to heat up the water reservoir. A brew strength selector. I can change the coffee to whatever suits myself or the people that are here. A self cleaning cycle. I haven't tried yet but seems quite nice. They recommend cleaning the decanter every 80 brewing cycles to keep from forming a whitish stain on the pot. Mostly from the hard water I suppose. Just use water and vinegar. Other features include: delayed brew, brew strength selector, 2 hour auto shut-off, 2 separate water reservoirs if you would like to make instant oatmeal or hot chocolate etc. Also there is a nice cord storage in the back so the cord isn't just laying around the counter. You can pause to pour a cup of coffee while the coffee maker is still brewing. If you like a coffee maker with a lot of nice features specifically the two water reservoir and the nice size of 12 cups I would highly recommend. Loaded with delayed timers and changing brew strength make this both a fun and quality programmable coffeemaker.
