This is the GREATEST coffee maker I have ever had!! Love it. I drink 48ozs. of coffee every day and had almost every brand of maker on the market in my 65 years of coffee drinking. Now I get a FRESH brewed cup of Folgers Black Silk every time, instead of heated in micro all day, except for the first one. Uses a little more coffee, but well worth it!

Horrible coffee. Fast, but just awful. I have the cheapest 12 cup good old fashioned Mr. Coffee drip maker and it is incredible. Single cup is terrible.

I was hating on the coffee available in my office breakroom. I am one of those weird people who don't really like the taste of coffee made from pods. This used a cone filter and ground coffee. It is worth the small bit of extra effort! It is a hot, fresh and good cup of joe. No burnt taste at all. Small enough design to store at my desk when not in use. I also liked that I could select the size cup it made. It saves me a lot every week over buying my coffee at a cafe or coffee shop. I received the Mr. Coffee HotCup single serve (pod-free) coffee maker, compliments of Try-it Sampling within the Bazaarvoice community. I was happy to get this because while I do have a k-cup coffee machine, I still like a fresh cup of coffee made from coffee grinds. I believe this is still the tried and true way. What I love about this particular coffee maker is how it uses a Kettle technology, which I didn't know about this before, and an advanced water flow system. This is unique because usually coffee makers that use grinds will make a full pot, but with this you can choose to have 6, 8, 10, or 12 fl oz and brew it right into a cup instead of pouring from an entire pitcher. The machine has a 74 oz Illuminated water tank. The HotCup uses #2 filters, but aren't included. It does come with a measuring scoop and has a dishwasher safe brew basket. There is also a convenient on/off feature that is energy efficient. It's also very easy to register this product online versus filling out the paper. I love this Mr. Coffee HotCup Single Serve/Pod Free Coffee Maker. I use it everyday. During the week I am the only one in my house that drinks coffee. I need my two cups before work. I had been looking for a single serve coffee maker, but I didn't want the expense of having to use the pods. Then Mr. Coffee came along.
I absolutely love this. I like the fact that it uses cone filters so you are not required to buy pods. I also LOVE the fact that I can use my favorite band of coffee, (which doesn't happen to come in pods). I feel this coffee maker is great for cost savings.

Things I love: how easy it is to operate, how hot the coffee is, the four choices in sizes, that a tumbler can fit underneath it, how much water the tank holds, it requires filters (can be seen as a con) so it's easy to clean. Things that keep me longing for something else: it takes a hot minute to get heated and brew, I can't fit my super tall tumblers underneath it, it's a little bulky (I wish it were slimmer). This coffee cup was very easy to use. The instructions in the manual were very easy to understand. They were written really well. It comes with a coffee scoop, that makes it easy to scoop the coffee grounds into the machine. The coffee came out the perfect temperature, and tasted really good.
I did not like that it did not come with the paper filters. This was a little inconvenient because I did not have any, so I had to run to the store before I could use my coffee maker. We've definitely replaced that well known pod coffee maker with this one! Using paper cone filters and your favorite coffee, it makes a perfect cup every time. The water tank holds a good deal of water so I am not rushing to refill every morning. The included measuring scoop is easy to read.
