We loved this popper at first. It worked great. 2 weeks after getting it the lid started cracking. I tried to order a new one, but they are out of stock. It’s real too bad.

Great popcorn popper. This was a replacement purchase due to the fact that I dropped my previous one & broke the bowl. Otherwise, it was still working great after approximately 5 years. Not only is it a great popper, I love that the parts are dishwasher safe. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Seemed to work well but we had a lot of unpopped kernels. Not sure if we stopped the machine too soon but they didn't seem to be popping any more and we didn't want to burn what was done.

I've owned two of these popcorn makers, and both broke in the exact same way. The plastic hinges that attach the heating plate to the base broke. My first popcorn maker actually lasted a few years, which I why I recently purchased a new one. This newer one broke after less than 5 uses.

Trying this one to replace a West Bend Stir Crazy that had begun to leave many unpopped kernels and to leak too much oil. This one can leak too so follow the instructions to use no more than a tablespoon of oil. I prefer olive oil but the instructions say no, switch to a higher temp oil like canola. The Cuisinart seems to get hotter so be sure to remove the popcorn when popping stops or you'll get some burning, i.e. don't leave it unattended. It does pop almost every kernel every time (so far)! The removable and washable popping base is a real plus as is the very sturdy clear plastic bowl. Overall, the Cuisinart seems well made. I hope it will last me a while as I use it almost every day!

I bought this about 6 months ago and it's working like a charm! Based on reviews, and past experience with an older model, I remove the top carefully and am sure everything is lined up when I re-insert. That way the plastic parts seem to last a long time. Easy cleaning of everything (except the base) in the dishwasher--another great feature.

this product makes excellent popcorn -- almost every kernel pops! this is my third Cuisinart popper. The first two cost around $70 each and lasted only 2-3 years. they were a poor value BUT they make really good popcorn with minimal oil (if you care to use minimal oil). At $41, I can live with the current cost, however I have low expectations re durability. I had a Stir-Crazy once that lasted 10 years.
