6 - 1.5 oz cups or 8 oz total which is perfect for me since I only drink an occassional cup a day. This pot is sturdy and impressed on how nice it is. The one I received from on-line did not have instructions on how to use, so I deduced where to put the water... not up to the release valve in the bottom part of the pot and where to put the grounds after thinking it through. I did not fill the filter to the top and lightly tampered it. I hope it does include instructions to take the guess work out of the equation. I didn't know whether or not it could go on the burner so I set it inside a sauce pan. I have to say not knowing how to use it...after a minute boiling, I ended up with a delicious Gevalia cup of espresso after it perculated to the top portion of the pot. Clean up afterwards was a breeze. So glad I didn't buy an expensive machine as this pot made a delicious expresso. Bottom line, this pot is nice and not cheaply made. I am very pleased with this purchase. Walmart pickup service at the neighborhood store was quick and efficient too.
