I ordered this for store pickup to do some hotel bathroom cooking for my family at a conference where breakfast costs $25 each. A test run got two cups of water boiling seven minutes after I turned it on. The unit was level and stable on the counter and the thermostat worked as it should.

I love the color and a design. I love the size. It's small and It's easy to clean up too. Most of all, it works great!. It heats up quick, cook up fast and stay hot long after i shut it off. This is the way i wanted. I use it for a table top dinning so that my meals stay hot until i finish them.

For anybody with a very small apartment and very limited space, this hot plate is proving to be the perfect cooking heat source.
I have tried 2 other hot plates but this one is proving itself to be the best.
It heats fast, maintains set temperatures, cools fast when finished and cleans up easily.

I have used this device to augment my kitchen stove to test it out every day for the past 2 weeks. It works exactly as it is suppose to.
I purchased it to take camping with me to use with my pressure cooker. It works nicely for this but it is worth noting that it does take almost twice as long as my gas range does to bring the pressure cooker to full pressure. That is to be excepted as it is a low watt item (for a burner) and IMO gas always cooks quicker. But, this item works nicely for my intended purpose.

I have been looking for a very hot large coffee mug warmer but none were hot enough. This did the trick! With 2 skinny cups I can share it with my wife. It has a lot more than 4 settings. It really goes from barely warm to boiling hot with dozens of settings in-between.

Takes a little longer to reach optimum temperature compared to my Black & Decker coiled burner, however, when it reaches optimum heat, it maintains it better than the coiled units. This may be due to the cast iron flat top which also allows the cooking vessels to sit without wobbling. It maintains a rolling boil on a 5 quart pot very well, better than the coiled type. When it cycles on and off, as all electric burners do, it maintains it heat very well. I could not rate its durability only having it for over a week, but if it holds up as expected, I will give it a five star rating.
One word of advice. If you're cooking something that needs the heat completely off, such as espresso, remove the vessel from the burner, since the tops stays hot longer than the coiled units.

I'm hoping that I have just received a bad product because it takes about 45 minutes to even warm up enough to come to a slow boil. And YES, we did follow the directions exactly and turn it on hi for 5 minutes (without a pot on it)!!!

This single burner is great for its price. I just moved into an efficiency and this product is a perfect remedy for my kitchen-less home. So far, I've only made pancakes, fried eggs, and cooked shrimps on it, but it has worked flawlessly in all those instances. Unfortunately it doesn't mark the temperature it is heating up to, which would be useful for certain cases. However, overall, it is a very good product for the affordable price.

I bought this to use outside for a project that called for a five gallon metal bucket to be filled with water and be brought to a boil. This hot plate supported the weight and heated the water without a problem. I wouldn't suggest that this be done all the time but it held up just fine. Great buy, under normal conditions this should last a very long time.
