I'm currently using it asa freezer. I get frozen food for my dogs and was running out of room in my refrigerator freezer. This was a great idea.

the door hinge was broken! it was either broken during delivery or from the manufacturer.

Perfect for small spaces. It came dented on the corner but not too noticeable. Attractive design, keeps frozen food rock solid. A little noisy for my taste when cycling but totally silent otherwise

Wanted to use as freezer and turned the control all the way to cold. My wireless thermometer showed it was down to -17 within a couple of hours! Putting the thermostat in the middle of freezer/refridge it kept a tempature of 0 degrees. It is small, but works great.

Did 4 stars because I don't have anything to compare it to. It has a good amount of space. Easy clean design. It does have a hum to it, but not as noisy as regular fridge/freezer.

We bought the Avanti to have extra freezer space in our camper for the winter. It does exactly as it said. The food is staying solidly frozen even after a two day no hookup while traveling. The price has been saved already as we don't have to purchase meat while in a tourist area. Walmart had it to us in 2 days, not the 6 that they thought. Wow! Great service Walmart!

This unit is compact, attractive and keeps frozen foods, even ice cream, rock hard. I bought a thermometer to monitor the temp and setting dial at midway for freezer function it holds around 10 degrees or so. The amazing thing is it can be used as a mini fridge if I ever buy a bigger freezer down the road. Other reviewers complained of noise and chemical odor. It does make noise at times, but it is not bothersome nor continuous. The chemical smell was a little more of a concern, but with continued use seems to be diminishing. Not bad enough to make me want to return the unit. I have only had it in use for about a week, so can't rate its durability or long-term performance (i.e., how often it will need to be manually defrosted).
