Bella Linea 4-Slice Toaster, Walmart Exclusive Reviews

Toasters are not complex or smart, they just need to heat evenly and pop up after specific timer setting. Somehow the Bella model can't do either well. Lack of elements in the middle cause areas of the bread not to toast, while outside areas are near black. The mechanism for popping up sometimes gets stuck or pops up half way. I could build a better contraption to make toast.

This unit has two fatal flaws, one an engineering flaw and one a design flaw. The engineering flaw?The inner and outer heating elements run at different temperatures thus toasting the bread unevenly on either side. You can even see the variation in power when the toaster is operating - one set of elements glows much more brightly than the other. The design flaw? There is a gap in the toasting elements at the center of the toaster which results in a gap in the toasted area of the bread. This is not an issue for "normal" slices of bread but it renders the toaster useless for hot dog buns or long pieces of French bread. Why have a long slot toaster if you can't toast long pieces of bread? My guess is that this unit was designed by someone who has never eaten toast before and is unclear on the concept. I returned the unit.

I love this toaster. It is a 4 slice toaster but not a 4 slot toaster. It has 2 extra long slots that can fit either 1 long slice of bread or 2 regular sized slices of bread in each of the 2 slots, and they are wide enough to fit bagels and even have a bagel button, which admittedly I have not tried yet. The only thing I do not like it that it seems to toast the outer edges of the bread more than the center. Why or how that is, I do not not know. Over all I LOVE this toaster. We can now toast rye bread, sourdough, and other artisan breads without having to toast one end, flip it over and toast the other end because they don't fit in a reg size toaster slot.

Lowest setting no. 1,to toast bread, anything higher and it burns. love the 4 slice long slots for artisan breads. Great for bagels. Bought it in white. Very pretty. Like the reheat feature. chrome detailing makes it look more expensive. Great value for the money. Does the job

We returned this after about 3 days use. I loved the idea of being able to toast large slice breads. Too bad this toaster fails completely. There is a large gap in the middle of the elements that leaves large slices uncooked in the middle. Every time we cooked any kind of bread it burnt part of it. Sometimes one side, sometimes the other. Most often the bottom of the bread was burnt. Sometimes one side was burnt the other not toasted at all. The only thing that toasted properly was a bagel. Very disappointed. I work in the housewares section at Wal-Mart. I won't be recommending this toaster to anyone!

I was so excited to find a 4 slice long slot toaster & also a plus was it was in a beautiful red. I was so anxious for this purchase to arrive. When I used the toaster the first time the lever cracked off. It is made of plastic. In my opinion an important part of a product that would be used every time the appliance is used should be made with more quality products. Very disappointed that it is so cheaply made.

Wouldn't recommend this toaster. I had to return it, it burned all my toast just on one half. I had problems returning it back to the store as they didn't want to refund me my shipping and tax. It was $9.00 extra for this and because I choose the convenience of having it shipped to my home I was told they didn't return this part of the refund.

I love the 4 slice toaster. A beautiful orange color instead of boring black and white. Were still working on the different settings, but what I have used of it, works great. Toaster gets very hot to touch, only negative on this toaster.

I did not know the name BELLA - looked up several different companies who do sell the small toaster - the reviews were good - so I purchased the toaster in gray - due to the fact they do not have black. The color is pretty dark and looks great with my other black appliances - I have been greatly satisfied. Makes great toast - bagels - waffles - and Italian sliced bread. We used it several times a day - #3 & #4 settings appear to be the best for us. The toaster has a big tray cleaner so its easy just like any toaster to clean - the product is sleek looking, great value. Bella needs to make a 4 cup coffee maker since they only has a 12 cup. So I can complete my upgrades. love the toaster
