I don't use a slow cooker a lot but when I do I want it to be easy to use and to clean. This one is just that. Heats well too. The chrome - black color combination is attractive too.

I purchased this slow cooker some time in 2016. I started using it in 2019. It is the BEST!! I have made pork butt and pork steaks plus roasted vegetables and everything came out great! I hope it continues to function well for me. Everything I cook in it turns out great and clean up is easy. I plan to cook vegetable lasagna in it next.

I love this slow cooker. The cooking pot is removable so you can brown your ingredients on the stove top without having an additional pot to clean. This came in handy when I made my onion soup. The slow cooker is really big, and attractive and I like that it has locking lid bands because I plan on bringing it to the Christmas party. The lid rest comes in handy, and it is so nice to be able to set the timer and select from high, low or warm cook and let it take over the cooking. I definitely recommend it, perfect to bring to potluck parties. I would recommend this to a friend

This is by far the largest slow cooker capacity that I think I've ever seen! My husband smoked two 20 some pound turkeys for a smoke off at work. We pulled the turkeys and put it in this slow cooker for him to take. He had plenty of room! Also liked the fact that it has the option to take it places by locking the lid. It also has a lid rest which comes in handy. Definitely would recommend this product.

I love this pressure cooker because it's really easy to use. You can remove the pot for easy cleanup or to fry your food. It has a see through lid and some locking handles in case you want to carry it on a picnic or for a family reunion. I used mine to cook my thanksgiving dinner and I sure did made an impression, Everyone was in love with my slow cooker. It comes with 3 modes, low, high or to keep your food warm. What I love the most is that it's programable to set a timer so you can cook worry free. I would definately recommend this pressure cooker to anyone who wants an easy to use cooker. Definately the best I've ever had and believe me when I say that cause I have tried many slow cookers and this one is the best for sure.

I am very happy with my Bella slow cooker! I love that it is programmable and it is really easy to program it. I was worried there would be too many bells and whistles but the slow cooker is perfectly simple. It is a set and forget type of cooker. It is nice there is a warm setting after it is finished cooking in case you are busy or aren't ready to eat at that time. I love the lid holder. Its perfect for parties and pot lucks so you don't have to worry about the lid getting in the way or misplacing it. My only downside is the strongish smell of the metal/steel. I am sure the smell will fade as I use and wash the slow cooker more. Overall, extremely happy with my Bella slow cooker!

Title states 10 Quart, yet the description clearly states that it will cook only 6 quarts!! Plus it has an ndegined no-stick surface, and since Teflon types of no-stick coatings are highly toxic knowing what kind of no-stick coating this has in VERY important!!

Do not buy this crock pot, The electronics have a defect that will cause the controller to short circuit and if you are lucky like me it will blow your circuit breaker, if not the controller will start to burn. Thank god I was home when the unit broke, my kitchen ended up filled with smoke from the burning electronics, for something that is designed to run for 8+ hours unattended more attention should be paid to the quality of the electronics.

Works great but it took an arm and a leg (even wth goo gone) to get the stupid sticker off the outside of the new crockpot, which showed no relevant information. They need to come up with a better way to get their information across or at least put on a sticker that is easier to come off!

My first time using it was while at home on the weekend. I wanted to be there for the first use in case anything weird happened. Needless to say I cooked some turnip and collard greens in the slow cooker and they came out great. This crock pot worked great for years. I usually either cooked on high for 4 hours or on low for 6-10 hours. I hate cooking, measuring, and paying attention to time when cooking, so this thing made it hard for even me to mess up a meal. I think the absolute best use was putting it on high when I left for a bike ride, by the time I got home, I had some delicious artichokes. I also loved making a big pot of chili and eating leftovers for the next week. For those of you saying that your crock pot melted, don't use oil. Oil can make the crock pot get hotter than it's supposed to. Another tip: either wait for it to cool, or wash it with hot water. Ceramic will break if it's hot and you wash it with cold water or vice versa. Never put anything cold into a hot crock pot or it could break.

I got this as a Christmas gift last year because the lid broke on my previous crock pot. It initially worked fine but I noticed the display was broken after the first few uses. Now, the temperature does not stay. While trying to use it for Thanksgiving, I would set it to High but after about 1 minute, the display would go out all together. I gave it 2 stars because when it worked, it worked fine. Now it does not work at all.

The lid didn't fit properly, called customer service and sent in pictures but they wouldn't do anything about it. They said it is supposed to be that way. I understand that the lid is supposed to be a rather lose fit for steam to escape, but our lid was too large and wouldn't even seat down into the pot at all. It would just sit on top crooked, letting all the heat and steam out before it could cook. It's unfortunate a pretty obvious manufacturing mistake like this is ignored.

This crock pot has it ALL! This is the first one I have ever owned and I'm thrilled with it! It comes with different settings including High, Warm, and Low and you can adjust the time as needed. I made my first ever batch of chili in it and it turned out amazing! It was so easy to do I just threw everything in their set it on low and cooked it overnight, when I woke up the next morning it was cooked to perfection. The digital timer and setting have lights on them making it very easy to read and see even in the dark. The crock pot itself is a great size and can feed about 5-6 people easily. The pot itself conveniently comes out and is super easy to clean. I would highly recommend this crock pot to anyone it is fantastic. It came on time and in wonderful condition. I swear it is so easy my 5 year old could probably use it! My next mission is veggie lasagna. The crock pot also comes with a warranty and an easy instructional manual with a 1 year warranty.

The first Bella Slow Cooker I received was returned because it would like turn on. The replacement , worked once and on the second use a few moments after plugging it in we began looking around the house for something plastic burning. Walked past the slow cooker and smoke was coming from under the control panel. Did some research and found that a few years ago this unit was on a recall for just that same reason. Called Bella and was told I would get a refund. I was instructed to cut off the end of the plug, peel the product label from the back and mail it to them with a copy of the receipt. Shipping it to Canada cost me $8.51 (will this be reimbursed too) and the slow cooker was $26.99 plus tax. They received it Sept 23rd and I have heard nothing.

Programmable? Yes. Removeable crock? Yes. Large family-size? Yes. This slow cooker has what you need. Set it and forget it and come home to a house that smells amazing and a great homemade dinner for your family. I use my slow cooker at least once a week. Recommendation: buy some slow cooker liners to make clean-up a breeze.

I'm very disappointed with this slow cooker. I was very excited to get a slow cooker that I could program. Unfortunately, it does not cook the food completely. I've used it several times and the meat it tough and the vegetables are not fully cooked. I'll keep it as a back up or for soups and chili (but only because I don't have the receipt to return it). I then bought another, bigger programmable slow cooker (of a different brand) and have had nothing but problems with it (shutting off while it should be cooking). I'm returning my new one and am going to buy an old fashioned slow cooker with a knob. I'm finished with these digital types that don't work.

There is a strong chemical burning smell the first time you plug this in, and for me, it lasted not only through the first half-hour "pre-cooking" it advises you to do (four cups of water for half an hour on high before you do any food), but also the first meal I cooked. Had to open all the windows because it was pretty bad. Beyond that: I was relieved that I didn't have the random shutting off problem that a few others have had (at least not yet). I have used the timer to cook on high and low and haven't had an issue with it turning off too soon. It's a nice looking unit and cleans up easily (dishwasher safe). It's a fairly basic unit, though, and programming instructions were confusing. The booklet came with exactly two recipes, which was a little cheap. The handles get hot; you're supposed to use potholders to lift the pot, and wait for the unit to cool completely before cleaning. (Putting cold water or cold foot in a pot that's already hot could crack it.) All in all, I'm happy with it, even if I haven't figured out all the features.

I love the digital readout on the screen. It cooks exactly as it is suppose to and not sure what more it should do to please, but it does also add the ability to set a timer and walk away without any worries on it burning. Automatically shifts to warm setting after cooking. In my opinion that is a very valuable feature. Nice cooker!

We start from the premis that you want to use a slow cooker.l have owned a previous crock pot for more than a year, using it about once per week, and loved it. My current cooker will be moving to my vacation house because this one is superior. This model does indeed hold a full 5 quarts, and is easily programable, from 30 minutes to 20 hours, including a countdown timer. One has a choice between high, low ort warm, with the ability to shift to continuing warm after the cooking cycle is completed. The stoneware insert is dishwasher safe, and the glass top might be (although I have not tried to do it). It's attractive enough to leave out on the kitchen counter. There are some interesting recipes included, but frankly you can find better ones on the internet. I'm one of those who likes the ability of preparing a dinner in 10 minutes, and letting it cook until ready. This model is a winner.

Ok...I'm confused! Did I receive a different model from some of you, or am I just not able to figure out how to use this slow cooker? Some reviewers indicated that it's possible to delay the start for up to 20 hours. I've been looking for a slow cooker with that feature, and I was hopeful that Bella's model did just that. After scouring the manual, I find no mention of that capability! Yes, you can program it for 20 hours of cooking time, but not a delay. After the completed cook time my cooker flips to warm to hold the dish until serving. That being said, my cooker performs well and is easy use and clean. If you want to flip from high to low, you do have to be there to flip the switch...another task that doesn't make this cooker completely programmable. I have another "programmable" slow cooker that was 2x the price of the Bella, so if you're looking for an inexpensive model that does the job with limited programming capabilities, this is it!

This is an inexpensive and worthwhile purchase. Unlike most 'cheaper' slowcookers which only have a setting knob for low, high or keep warm, this one includes a program that automatically times your meal on low or high, and then automatically goes to 'keep warm' for 4 hours. As someone who enjoys using the slowcooker it was often a bit stressful to figure out my timing for the food. If I started it at 6:30 am in the morning, what would the condition of the food be at 5:30pm when I got home? Now, I start it at 6:30am and since it automatically changes to 'keep warm' instead of continuing to cook at 'low', I no longer need to worry about this. We made beef stew today, and were out of the house all day. There is also a 'countdown' for the 'keep warm' phase so you know how long the food has been in that phase. The addition of rubberized feet on the bottom is simply brilliant. I didn't have to 'chase' it around the countertop as I was stirring or adding food...this one stays put. My one suggestion would be to add a 'lock' to the lid, so that transporting a meal made in it, to a potluck would be safer. I love it-great addition to my kitchen!

I like slow cookers, and I have a basic CrockPot. But every once in a while, I would like to make two slow cooker recipes at the same time--like, an entree and a dessert. So when the Bella Slow Cooker became available on Vine, I requested it. I tried it out today. I made a pot roast with the McCormick Slow Cooker seasoning package, which is pretty simple. I cut up potatoes, carrots, celery and an onion, used a 3 pound roast, and poured the seasoning mix with water over it all. I set the timer for 4 hours on high, and this evening, my family and I sat down to a delicious dinner. I chose this straightforward recipe to eliminate variables that might affect the outcome. As it turned out, the Bella does exactly what the manufacturer claims. The element got hot quickly, stayed hot the entire four hours, and then kicked down to Warm. (It's warming right now, ready for when my two young adult sons come in from work, FAMISHED.) Several people have posted reviews citing different issues with this product. Some of these concerns were whether the cooker has an accurate time, and whether it's hard to program. Does the cooker stay on the correct temperature long enough to cook the meal? In my (extremely) limited experience, YES. The veggies were done perfectly and the meat was not underdone. There was plenty of liquid left in the crock, so nothing dried out or burned. I almost skipped reading the instructions, figuring this was just a plug in and program appliance, but I'm glad I saw the "before you use this the first time" directions. When you activate the cooker, it goes through a self-programming protocol. Let it run through this. Then pour in 4 cups of water and set to "High" for 30 minutes. (The timer is in increments of 30 minutes for all your cooking.) At the end of 30 minutes, the cooker automatically goes to "Warm." You can turn the power off at that point. Let it cool for a bit. Then, pour the water out, and wash and dry the crock. NOW you're ready to cook. You won't have to go through this programming again. Another reviewer mentioned that the programming is confusing and difficult. Well, it's not exactly intuitive, but then I'm a Luddite. I think programming difficulty may be due to not going through the pre-cooking protocol. Still, it seems that you should be able to let it self-program even if you didn't do so the first time. The manual that comes with this only features TWO recipes, although they are written in a number of foreign languages. So you can practice your high school French, or Tagalog or whatever, and then check yourself while you're waiting for your dinner. This point is not a big deal, as another reviewer mentioned, because slow cooker recipes are readily available. If you decide to buy a slow cooker cookbook, there are some good ones out there. I would caution you to look for one with a lot of recipes that don't require much prep time. That sort of defeats the purpose of throwing together a meal in minutes but having that home-cooked vibe. There's no getting around having to brown meat occasionally, or boil pasta, but if you have a busy schedule (or kids, or both) you will appreciate being able to toss everything into the crock and let it do the heavy lifting for you. I am always a little leery of programmable items, because they seem to be made for the short-term. They're more sensitive and you usually have to replace them more often than appliances that work on a simple switch. So, we'll see, This is also a nice-looking product and will fit in with any kitchen decor, and it's affordable. It's one of those can't-go-wrong gift options for a wedding shower or housewarming gift. I may revise this review up or down a star depending on how it handles a few of my other trustworthy recipes. Until then, at least I know I can always fall back on a pot roast.

So far I've only got this cooker to work well on days when I'm there. I set how long I want it to cook for then eat it shortly after. I read the instructions several times... and I refuse to believe there is no way to get warm to kick in when cooking feature is over... Right? I mean my crockpot from 10 years ago did this. But I'm pretty tech savvy and there should be an easy way to do this. According to the buttons there should be a way... I thought i had it figured out but when i did it for the time I'm at work, 10 hours and the cook time was it was room temperature when i made it back. Are we at a point where our crockpots have firmware updates? Because I think this oversight of no warming after cooking has to be a software issue. It does look really great, but again why no lock on the top for transport and fridge-ing? Its missing all the little things... Your going to find a simpler slow cooker somewhere else and you should probably go with that one.

Even at my age I don't like doing many things slowly. No leisurely soaks in the tub for me, no strolling when a brisk walk will do, no yoga if aerobics and weights are available, heck, I even did that meet-and-marry thing pretty quickly decades ago. So the only thing I usually do slowly is to "repent at leisure" when my haste didn't work out so well. (Not the "marry" thing. It's lasted 45 years so far.) Anyway, headed into my seventh decade of life, I realized I've never used a slow cooker. It's not exactly on my bucket list, but when I saw this available to review, I did get mildly excited about it. (Mildly. It is just a slow cooker, after all.) So far I have a very favorable impression of this cooker. Visually it's very attractive, with shiny chrome base unit, glass lid, a black stoneware cooking pot and a sleek electronic control area. And it's user-friendly and easy to program. Set the heat with the mode selector button on the left, then the time with the up or down arrows in the center. (The power on/off button is on the right if you wish to turn the cooker off manually before the time you've set is up.) When cooking with this, once the cooker has reached the time you've set it for, it will set itself to warm automatically and stay there for four hours. I haven't used this yet for anything that required more than 5 hours at the high temperature selection so I can't address the complaint of some users that the cooker shuts itself off. It hasn't done for me but that could be an issue when setting this for 8 or more hours of cook time. If in my later cooking experiments, I encounter this problem I'll add that info to this review. I'm very happy with my cooking results so far. One of my biggest successes has been slow-cooked rice pudding. It's the most delicious and creamiest I've ever made, better than stove top or oven prepared. One important thing to remember when slow cooking is not to use as much liquid as you would on the stove top. There's very little loss of liquid with the slow cooker so you don't want to end up with soup if your goal was stew. The manual that comes with this cooker has only two recipes in it. You can access more at the Bella website or just any website that offers slow cooker recipes. That's how I found my rice pudding recipe (actually there were dozens to be found when googling). I have found this to be a satisfactory slow cooker. It is, of course, my very first slow cooker so I have nothing to compare it too.

For $16.00 it is a pretty good crock pot. I made a pot roast while I was sleeping last night. For the first time cooking with it, I didn't want to turn it on while I wasn't home...I'm paranoid that way. Last night at 10:00 pm I put a 3 pound roast, some potatoes and carrots in in the pot and programmed it to cook for 8 hours on low. When I woke up this morning everything was cooked and the pot was off. I do feel like it should have the option to switch to "warm", instead of "off" but it doesn't.

Little is nicer than coming home from a long hard day at work to a nice hot home cooked meal. Crock pots help you accomplish this. This 5 quart model is basic but performs adequately. It has an appealing, sleek look and the crock itself has some heft. The tempered glass lid fits securely and allows you to peek at the food. Before cooking your first meal, you must place four cups of water in the crock, cover and plug in. Using the buttons on the front, you program it for 30 seconds on high. The pot heats up quickly and although there was a funky, smoky odor, it dissipated quickly. After the expiration of the 30 seconds, the warm indicator flashed. It sets automatically at the end of the cooking cycle and will remain on for four hours. You only have to do that process once. The instruction book is easy to follow and the diagrams were clear. It would have been thoughtful if the print had been a bit larger and/or darker and they were skimpy on recipes. Only two were included. As I have a number of books and the internet is full of decent crockpot recipes, this was not a major issue. My first meal cooked in this appliance involved chicken breasts with a sauce and vegetables. It turned out well. The pot gets hot and stays that way even after it is turned off so be sure to use caution. I do wish the cord was longer but I had no issues with this appliance. This is a basic model. It is easy to use and performs adequately. The five quart size is convenient. I can't yet speak to durability although the buttons on the front seem a bit flimsy. Still the lack of frills and low cost makes this a good entry level pot.

This crock pot works as advertised and looks spiffy in it's polished coat. The programming was easy with no issues. Once your cooking program is done the pot automatically goes to warm mode for 4 hours. Not sure how the long the display will last considering it has a slight flicker already. The power cord is really short. I think this is a new UL safety feature on all counter-top appliances, but I still don't like it. When empty the entire unit has a slight wobble. The ceramic insert also has a wobble when empty. The wobbling seems to subside when the unit is full. Not bad unit, but not super great either. 3 stars because you can do better for less money.

I bought this slow cooker after I lost the lid of my first Bellla crockpot. I ended up continuing to use the old crockpot, but eventually tossed it to use the new one. I put all of the ingredients into the pot, turned it to low for a few hours, and left for work. I returned from work just 1 hour short of when the timer was to expire, but it was turned off. The ingredients inside were room temp, nothing was warm, like it had been off for a while. I turned it back on, set it to 4 hours and checked on it after 30 mins, it had shut off. I again turned it on and set it to 6 hours this time, I checked it every minute. It appeared as though it shut off after 20 mins. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, didn't work. My dinner was ruined and now I have this broken slow cooker. Waste of $40. Don't buy it!
