Love this machine! Never had a coffee groud in my coffee since I bought this. Works quickly. We have had one for 3 years and it still works great!

The only problem with it is that it is somewhat awkward to pour the water into the pot before brewing. Other than that it works fine.

Number one issue, difficult to fill with water. No, not just difficult, almost impossible when using the coffee pot to fill it. I was expecting a bit more from this, terribly design continues with the shower head idea, this is what sold us to purchase, makes it sound like we will get a better quality of coffee taste. The shower head requires a lot of cleaning, it warps and no benefit to flavour.

I have owned my coffee maker for about a year and I think it is great. I noticed people had issues with the design but they probably have not used bodums before. It is designed with a slow pour in mind so that any small particles do not get disturbed too much and end up in your coffee cup. So just pour slowly and all is good. As for where to pour the water in, I would agree that this is a poor design but I use the coffee pot and the same slow pour to get the water in without issue. The pros to this is that you do not have any coffee filters to buy , most the pieces are washable, and the timer works well. This is the closest to an eco-friendly coffee maker that you can get without just getting the glass bodums. Buy it if you have time to enjoy your coffee and pour slowly. Nuff said.

Don't waste your money unless you are looking for a 4 month coffee maker. The shower head that drips the water into the coffee slowly starts to melt and warp until it is unusable. I tried to contact bodum to see if they had replacement parts and got nowhere. One of the worst customer service companies I've ever dealt with

This machine makes good coffee and the reusable metal screen filter is robust, however it is poorly designed; there is no easy way to fill it with water using the carafe. The opening is small and difficult to access, and it is difficult to empty the water from the carafe without spilling at least some water over the sides or into the filter basket.

Bought this for my partner and he loves the machine. I don't see the issue that other's have written on here, I don't have anything spilling and it brews a great cup of coffee. Seems like a quality maker that will last a long time

Both reviews are accurate. The water chamber is difficult to fill. The spout the shoots the hot water over the coffee grinds has melted and after 2 months this machine is garbage. Buy something else.

I bought this coffee maker a two weeks ago. We usually buy a lesser price coffee maker, but decided to spend a bit more on a better one.
The coffee maker brews the coffee just fine. The problem is within the design of the unit. It is almost impossible to pour water in the top from the pot, without spilling everywhere. When pouring the coffee from the pot to your mug, the coffee spills everywhere. You need to remember to lift the pot lid as you pour, otherwise you have a mess. I feel as though they had it built, and never tried it for themselves before putting it on the market.
I can't comment on the actual quality or longevity of the coffee maker, as I won't have it long. I will be putting this on kijiji asap. Hopefully I can get enough money back to buy another $40.00 unit, that will work properly without a procedure of pouring and clean up!
