I received this product as a member of the walmart spark review program in exchange for my honest opinion. This is a good looking toaster that has the hint of an old school (sixties) appearance mixed with modern aesthetics. The pull down handle is wide and big, and the knob for the amount of heat or toast level is one that can be seen on a typical toaster. The main feature of this particular toaster is the super wide slots that are for bagels in my opinion. Putting regular sliced bread in there is like tossing a sand grain into the ocean. However, with regards to tasting the bread, it does a decent job. Nothing so special about the functionality other than that and the ability to toast directly frozen foods. I have used it to make a grilled cheese sandwich, just make sure to cut the cheese so that it is mainly in the top and away from the sides, this way when it melts it falls into more bread space at the bottom and spreads out into more bread space at the sides. if you are looking for a good and nice priced toaster that can toaster bagels , self cut sourdough bread (big slice versions) then this is a good product to have.

I like the look of this toaster, but that’s about it. I put a bagel in and pushed the bagel button. It did not pop up on its own. It burned it. I popped it up myself to keep it from catching fire. Same thing happened to a piece of bread. I put it on level 3. It burned it to a crisp. I think mine was defective, but I wouldn’t walk away while using it, just in case it’s a flaw that could happen to others.

This toaster is a great stand out item that makes the kitchen pop! Easy to use and simple controls as far as a toaster goes. Wide slot makes it handy for larger pieces of bread or waffles. It has a bagel button as well as a frozen button thats handy as well. The red and stainless steel look great together. The buttons itself are plastic, which keeps down on fingerprints. It does a great job at toasting, just like it is supposed too. Black and Decker always makes good solid products, and this toaster continues that trend. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting and attractive, value priced toaster.

The Black and Decker 2-slice extra wide red and silver toaster is bold, stylish, and colorful. The toaster fittings on the top are wide enough to toast big bagels. There is a button setting for frozen baked goods as well. And, a cancel button when wanting to eject the baked item for the desired light or darker toasting. This has quickly become a family favorite toaster, and the red color grabs the eye when entering the kitchen.

Our new bright red toaster really adds a bit of pop to our black-gray-white kitchen color palette. Be sure to cycle it a few times to burn off the “new electrical device” smell. This toaster has very wide slots and will easily allow for warming or toasting thick slices, like Texas toast, bagels. I will bet even sandwich buns would toast nicely. A fresh slice of rye bread browned nicely on both sides with the temperature setting on “4” in just about 2 minutes 15 seconds. Black and Decker has also solved the issue of breads and pastries sagging or leaning in to the heating elements! Wire mesh supports move in to support what you put in the slot and keep it upright during toasting. Very nice addition. I am looking forward to toasting up a slice of my wife’s great, moist, soft zucchini bread without have to fish it out with a knife or turn the toaster upside down! This toaster is very lightweight and relatively small so it will stow easily. The exterior does not heat up significantly even using the highest setting. So there is no accidental burn problem and it can be moved comfortably during the cooking process. But it is small enough you might want to leave it on the counter for that extra splash of color.

Received this about a week ago. Really like the Brand Name and Red is the perfect color. This is a very simple to use toaster. It is a 2 slice toaster with extra wide slots, so you can toast Texas Toast, or a bagel. It has 7 shades to toast bread. An extra button just for a bagel, and also an extra button for something that is frozen like Waffles or Pancakes. The family loves it. One Toaster that does multiple items, looks good, and works perfectly. I give this toaster 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone!

This is a very pretty red toaster that does a great job. It toasts both sides of the bread evenly, unlike my old toaster. This machine has a Bagel button and a Frozen button and can be timed to up to 7 minutes. I'm afraid I don't like Bagels, so I'll probably never try this setting, but I do toast frozen bread, waffles, pancakes, etc. I never figured out why people buy complicated toaster oven, when really what you really want is a toaster. This is faster and uncomplicated. I can recommend this toaster. I have or have had several Black and Decker small appliances and I really like the brand.

I was looking for s new inexpensive toaster after my old one burned out. I decided to get this BLACK+DECKER 2-Slice Extra Wide Slot Toaster in red and silver. The colors perfectly match my kitchen and other appliances. It is not a bad toaster. The slots are pretty wide to fit a bagel or thick sliced bread. It feels a little too light and flimsy though, but it toasts pretty well. The only thing I don’t like is that the crumbs tray is not removable like my old toaster had. This one has a latch that you have to press and it opens on the bottom like an attic door. You have to lift the toaster in order to empty the tray. My old toaster was convenient - you only had to slide the tray out without moving the toaster, empty the tray and slide it back. This toaster has a Frozen, a Bagel and a Cancel buttons. It also has a dial with seven toast shade settings. Overall I think it’s not a bad toaster and I would recommend it.

BLACK+DECKER 2-Slice Extra Wide Slot Toaster is an amazing product! The design is very sleek and modern looking, so it will look nice in any kitchen. It looked great in mine. There are specific controls for specific things you are toasting, like bagels, and frozen items like waffles. I really love this feature, because it lets me get the best results for what I am toasting. The toasting slots are super wide WHICH IS SO GREAT!!! You can put any size bread in it, or any other things you would toast, and it would still work fine. There’s a lever that gives extra lift to the item being toasted so you don’t burn yourself. Also, there’s a crumb tray which is actually super useful, efficient, and convenient. Plus the color is beautiful!!!!I really enjoy this product!

I have used the same toaster for 20 years or more and it is tired. I was excited about a larger opening but it is only 2mm wider. It would make a difference with a bagel and it has a bagel setting. It also has a setting for frozen which I look forward to testing with frozen potato patties. This toaster is quite a bit lighter than my old one. I set the control to the setting I used in the past, one mark pass the middle. Perfect toast and evenly done, no lines that indicate where the heat was. I am very happy with this toaster, and it is attractive on the counter.
