The lid w hummingbird beak/bill is very strange, but it does guide the coffee into a tight stream coming out. Whole lid coming off often (despite little pegs in slots) when pouring water into reservoir or when opened to get water at the sink is very aggravating, but that's only real gripe I have with this version. I think percolated coffee tastes better, but this unit is as quick to brew 8 cups for me as my former Keurig would take to drip just 1 cup/mug full.

Super disappointed it leaks and coffee not hot enough and no automatic shutoff. I have already ordered a new Cuisinart. You would think for the price of this Bunn almost 90.00 it would perform better. I have owned this for only a couple weeks wish i still had the box so i could return it.

We have had Bunn coffee makers for over 20 years. We love them! I wanted a coffee maker with a timer and our Bunn was getting old, so I bought a different brand of coffee maker. Immediately, we knew it was not a Bunn! We saw this deal at Sam's Club and could not resist having our Bunn back! We didn't even last 6 months with the other coffee maker! Go Bunn!!!

I love the look and the size. But most of all I love the coffee, BUNN makes the best coffee. This is my 3rd Bunn coffee maker. My mother had one back in the 80's when I was at home, I bought one when I got my first home and now I just purchased a new one. They last a long time. Great product!

With the BUNN® Speed Brew® Select Black Coffee Maker, Model CSB1, we found that we can have, at home, coffee comparable to the coffee we get at our favorite restaurant or cafe. That is because the Bunn Speed Brew is made with the same technology that the Bunn coffee brewers use in commercial businesses. The Bunn Speed Brew uses the Bunn sprayhead that extends the contact time between water and grounds. This is what makes the coffee comparable to commercial coffee. The internal hot water tank keeps the water at a whopping 200 degrees. That way you can brew a whole pot of coffee in about four minutes flat. We can set it for as little as four cups or for the whole pot, which holds ten cups. The Pour-O-Matic drip-free glass carafe is designed to eliminate spills down the side of the carafe and onto the warming plate. We have found that this works really well. The warming plate keeps our coffee at the perfect temperature for about two hours. This Bunn Speed Brew is easy to operate and easy to clean. It even comes with a lime build-up cleaning tool. The makers of Bunn have just about thought of everything. I did give this only four stars instead of five, because it does not come with a timer. I guess they did not think I would need one with a perk time of only four minutes. We have completely replaced our old coffee pot with the Bunn Speed Brew. It makes delicious coffee and is very easy to operate and clean.

In the age of the “one- cup- at-a- time" coffee brewers that use pods, or the “get your fancy coffee from a barista”, there are still people who like brewing a good, delicious pot of coffee. So, when I had a chance to try the BUNN® Speed Brew® Select Black Coffee Maker, Model CSB1, I knew this would be a good experience. This looks like a regular drip coffee maker, but, it's not. This has to be set up before you start to brew. What happens is you fill the reservoir completely, THEN plug it in and wait 15 minutes before the first brew. This BUNN coffee maker stays plugged in and you can leave it on all the time. Once you want to make a pot, you put the filter and coffee in the funnel and slide the funnel in place, add the amount of water you want (up to 50 ounces), put the pot in place, close the lid that acts like a plunger, and, instantly, hot water comes from the bottom of the reservoir and sprays (the amount you put in) through the coffee in the funnel to make a delicious pot of coffee. A whole pot is made in just a couple of minutes. BUNN is a well known brand for quality and good coffee. Also, it can fit under kitchen cabinets. By the way, I timed the BUNN to the one cup at a time type of coffee maker. To make a full mug (12 ounces) of good robust coffee, it takes two rounds with two pods in the other coffee maker. The BUNN took about a minute longer, but, I made a 50 ounce pot and the other machine made only 12 ounces. You could buy very good, fresh ground coffee for the BUNN and still save a lot of money compared to the pods for the other coffee maker. If you like the pods, this coffee maker might not be your choice. However, if you're one who likes to drink more than just one cup, you'll love this! Granted, the set up takes a little time and maybe patience. But, once it's set up, it makes coffee very quickly. It is made to stay on all the time. However, it can be turned off if you don't use it for a few days. It can even be turned off at night. It just means it will take 15 minutes to heat up before it can start brewing after you turn it on again. I highly recommend this BUNN coffee maker.

I have the BUNN Speed Brew. It was so simple to remove from the box and start making your coffee. You will need to remove all packaging material, wash everything really well, attach the swivel lid, put in a coffee filter, and add water. The directions instruct you to run a carafe of water through the machine prior to plugging it in and making any coffee. There are only two buttons on the entire machine, which adds to the awesome simplicity. There is a power switch to turn the internal hot water tank on or off and there is a warmer switch, which allows you to turn off the warmer plate when you have finished with your coffee. The internal hot water tank is a stainless steel tank that holds your water at the perfect temperature to quickly make your coffee. The instructions state to turn the power switch off if you do not intend to make coffee for four or more days. The machine makes up to ten cups of coffee at one time, but there are measurements on the carafe that will guide you in making less. There is a mark for four, six, eight, and ten cups. The machine will produce coffee after about four minutes. The carafe is a designed to be drip free and is very easy to pour from. There is no timer on this machine but since it only takes about four minutes, no timer is really needed. I don't think you will be disappointed with this machine or with the flavor of coffee it produces.

The BUNN® Speed Brew® Select Black Coffee Maker, Model CSB1 is fully assembled out of the box. Cleaning of the coffee carafe, wiping down the coffeemaker's other surfaces and doing a five step set up of the water storage tank, you are then ready to make coffee. The instructions for setup are clear, concise and easy to follow. The BUNN® Speed Brew® Select Black Coffee Maker, Model CSB1 is a solid and well constructed coffeemaker. I first tried the coffeemaker by making four cups of coffee. It made very good coffee. The next day I opted to make a full ten cup batch of coffee and again the coffee flavor was great at the time the brewing ended. After several hours with the carafe setting on the coffeemaker warmer the coffee tasted slightly burned. The coffeemaker is easy to clean. I have used this coffeemaker for about ten days. The one good thing I can say about this coffeemaker is that it consistently makes a good quality cup of coffee. What more can one reasonably expect from a coffee maker? The positives: 1. The coffeemaker consistently makes very good coffee. 2. The coffeemaker is easy to use. 3. The coffeemaker is easy to clean. I solved the burned taste issue by pouring the freshly brewed coffee into a metal thermos carafe that came with an old coffeemaker. This works fine. Paper filters are a nuisance and messy. Fortunately I had a reusable filter from another manufacturer's coffeemaker and it fit very nicely and does the job. I filtered the chlorine out of the water with an external water filter. I used only this filtered water the Bunn coffeemaker to improve the taste. The BUNN® Speed Brew® Select Black Coffee Maker, Model CSB1 will provide consistently good cups of coffee for years to come. I give this coffeemaker my recommendation. I received this product at no cost for the purposes of test, evaluation and review.

I was intimidated by the instructions at first - this isn't your basic cheap coffeemaker. The unboxing and setup took about 15 minutes. I was blown away by the fact that it brewed an entire pot of coffee in about one minute. The taste is a bit stronger than with the cheap coffeemakers but it tastes really good - it also takes less coffee grounds for a robust flavor.

I received the Bunn Speed Brew Coffeemaker From the Spark Reviewer Program without any cost to me. I did not care for this product because it is not space saving, not economical, not easy to clean, not user friendly and has no quick pause. The Bunn Speed Coffeemaker is complicated, is showy, is an extravagant use of energy because you must keep it plugged in and on for the Speed Brew, is difficult to determine how much to top off and is difficult to determine water conditions which might become slimey if not turned on all the time. I did like the special non drip pour on the carafe and after fifteen minutes of heating the water it does make a great cup of coffee. Consenquently, the Bunn Speed Coffeemaker might be good for the workplace or a house full of extreme coffee drinkers or better yet in a restaurant. Also, it all comes down to your preferances and taste.
