First of all I have owned a Bunn for over 30 years. Got this one over a month ago and still can't get the smell and taste of plastic/chemical out of the system. I have used over 2 gallons of vinegar to no avail. Super disappointed.

I've had this coffee maker for only one week. Last night I set it up with the timer for the morning and my wife said it looked like it was running. Turns out it was leaking cold water over the grains, I pulled the grain basket ( wet in the middle by now ) and by morning the entire 10 cups of water had dripped into the pot. Attempting to just run an on demand batch also resulted in significant dripping before the water was heated enough to spray out of the head. So disappointing, serious quality issues at Bunn!

I like that this pot does not have a hot water reserve that stays hot all the time. It makes great coffee and is programable

We got spoiled. We have had 5 or 6 Bunn coffee makers. They keep a pot of coffee inside warm all the time. When you poor cold water in you had better put the pot in immediately or coffee will run out on the burner. This new coffee maker has to warm up the water to make coffee. 5-6 min. Nothing bad about the coffee maker, just slower than the other Bunn coffee makers we have had.

This coffee maker makes good coffee but if you're bothered by a flashing 'clean' light that will not stop flashing no matter how much vinegar you pass thru it, then it's not a good choice. I'm sick of everyone telling me to clean my machine that i'll be throwing this one away.

I read prior reviews about smelly plastic and weird pouring snout. All incorrect. My pot arrived, I ran a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water, everything perfect. No smelly plastic. The innovative pour snout works great! But the best feature is it brews HOT coffee!!! Love this brewer at a great price!

Does not perform /function as it is designed to do so. Did not brew at advertised temperature. Coffee was barley 160* Also the green plastic aerator is small and does not properly saturate coffee grounds. The filter holding the coffee slides in very easily and also slides out of position just as easily. The filter is not set securely in place and this causes accidents. Seriously disappointed. Will be returning the product and searching for another brand.

Overall, this is a great coffeemaker. It heats the water to the optimal temperature first, then sprays it over the grounds. It takes a bit longer than the average coffee pot (heat water first, then brew), but worth the wait in my opinion. A few people complained in reviews that they could taste or smell the plastic. I found this to be mildly true for a short time, but it was never bad, and it went away in a few days. I am very happy with this coffee maker after a lot of shopping around. Many coffee makers brag about how fast they brew, but 'haste makes waste' - do you want great coffee, or fast coffee? Well built and an interesting look. The odd 'pour device' on the carafe lid made to stop dribbling as you pour works quite well. One issue that I have is that the bottom of the plastic cup that holds the grounds does not drain completely - the bottom is flat and could benefit from a slight angle towards the hole that drains into the carafe. Not a big deal though - I am careful as I remove it and tilt it a bit so no more coffee drips out the bottom hole as I take out the filter / grounds to throw away. A very small complaint...I would definitely recommend this coffee maker...

I bought the Bunn coffee maker because i got tired of throwing away Mr Coffee machines every 6 months. This didnt even make it that long. Coffee makers should be more durable. Im going to go back to boiling grounds in a pot on the stove. Very dissapointing, American Manufacturing. I expect better.

We put as many spoonfuls of coffee in the basket as we could and still couldn't get a strong brew. I loved the style of the coffee maker-it took up less room on our counter than our previous one. Easy to clean. Very disappointed the coffee wasn't strong enough.

I’m not a coffee snob but I do like my espresso. I didn’t expect a difference with the “automatic pour over method” but it did make a better cup of coffee. It takes a little bit longer to brew but who really cares. Definitely a good purchase.

Love the new Bunn coffee brewer. It is the best coffee taste outside of cowboy coffee. Easy to make and easy to clean. The only down side is you have to wait for it to finish brewing to get your first cup of coffee.

Wish it had been designed just a bit better as far as the carafe & plastic lid, specifically the lid part that sits directly on top of the glass carafe. It falls out of place very easily. I do like the overall quality, its taller than my old pot, so do measure your counter top vs cabinet height, to make sure it will fit. Love the location of the front fill, and it brews a nice stout strength. Could brew hotter, but I like my coffee steaming hot.

This cannot be a BUNN, this must be a knockoff manufacturer that has tricked a good coffee machine maker to use their name. This thing takes 15-18 minutes to begin to drip. This cheap piece of plastic does not have the instant reservoir and I understand that....but a $8.00 machine in the dollar store does a better job. You have to wait 10 minutes after it starts to drip to get your 1st cup, no shutoff at the basket to cheat that first cup, you have to play "swap the cup for the carafe" which is difficult because of the cheap plastic arms on both sides. Over all....bad purchase, next time I will go with the tried and true version and hopefully find that BUNN has not allowed all their brand to be corrupted.

Love this!! I had been using a Cuisinart for at least 10 years prior to this purchase. When the last one died, I took my brother-in-law’s advice and tried this Bunn. This heat and brew was perfect for me, as I didn’t need or want the preheated reservoir. Coffee tastes great, perfect temperature. Love it!! The only improvement I would suggest would be a way to turn the burner back on to keep leftover coffee hot for late risers!

I love coffee in all forms, but this is one of my top favorite drip makers! Brews strong, bold, and HOT! 5 STARS! It's very simple and I like that. It's TALL and very light, deceiving when you first unbox but it's a quality cup of coffee and easy to use!

NOTE: UPDATE AFTER THREE MONTHS OF USE. Yesterday, the "CLEAN" lamp started flashing. It's simple enough to do, and the instructions are in the user guide that can be found right on the Amazon page, but when you do, make sure you take the lid off of the carafe! When you remove the sprayhead for cleaning and run the cleaning solution (or vinegar and water) through without coffee grounds in the basket, the water comes out too fast for the small hole in the top of the carafe! Yes, WARNING!!! It makes a small mess. Well worth the price of admission and the pot brews great coffee. I bought this coffee pot to replace a 7-year-old Bunn unit. I like the sleeker style of the new machine better, and I like the fact that the water-fill door is hinged rather than swinging. What I don't like about this pot is that Bunn has chosen to replace the stainless brew basket of the previous model with a plastic one. Fortunately, the basket from the unit that failed fits the new machine, so I switched it out. I hope that Bunn goes back to the old metal style brew basket. The coffee taste was significantly better when I switched from plastic to metal.

Recently purchased. This is only my third brew. Coffee maker is tall. Vents in the back so I have to pull out and then turn away from my cabinets which are a bit above standard height. Had to do the same with my kitchenaid which was shorter but also vented in the back. I'm not a connoisseur but this coffee has flavor throughout or I guess what I would consider "body". The Kitchenaid made descent coffee but had no mid-tones, a little thin and with a bitter aftertaste. When purchased I brewed with vinegar and paused for 30min and then washed 3 times (followed the cleaning instructions) before first use and I noticed no plastic smell or taste. Would prefer that the product be made in the US vs. China if it is indeed made in China. Not much you can do about that nowadays unfortunately. One review mentioned water splatter which is completely avoidable if you pour to the left or right of the water gauge in the basin at the top of the unit. This is a great product so far. Will update if it breaks or if I have any issues.

Purchased this machine after reading doing a lot of research and learning that drip brew tastes best if water is heated to around 200 degrees F. We have always bought nice beans and ground them right before use at home, but our old cheap Mr. Coffee was not doing them justice. We made a pot with the Bunn and a pot with the Mr. Coffee to compare and WOW. I can't even fathom how much money we have wasted on buying quality coffee beans and using it with our old coffee maker. The Mr. Coffee produced what we could only describe as coffee flavored water, while the cup brewed from the Bunn was amazing! We could actually TASTE the coffee. The only concern we had at first was the amount of grounds recommended to be used for a pot of coffee. In our old coffee maker, that many grounds would have tasted really bad (too strong, sludgy). However, with this coffee maker, it works and extracts the flavors well. However, after discovering the difference this coffee maker made, we also picked up a better grinder. The extra money is well-spent here on a coffee maker like this. I was tempted to get something with a bunch of bells and whistles (frother, ability to brew different types of drinks, etc), but I'm glad that we stuck to a simple, quality product that produces a wonderful cup of drip brew. But it has certainly started us down a rabbit hole of future expenses, as now that we know coffee can taste this good at home we want to keep buying and trying different types of gourmet roasts!

After a week of research I decided to buy once and cry once on this expensive machine figuring It was good for 3 years plus made in the US. All of those notions did not happen. Soon as I opened the box, a big made in china on it. Disappointed since Bunn advertises its name and rep. Fail number one. Decided to brew and see if it was at least worthy. It was not, the brew button light comes on but nothing happened 30/minutes wait. Fail number two. The only way I could get it to work was auto program for 1 minute ahead. I filled with room temp RO water and waited over 30 minutes for it to be done. Fail number 3 its stated as 10 cups, only get 8 brewed. which will not cut it with my wife and I. Going back Asap. Terribly disappointed. It does make good coffee and the pitcher poors flawless with no drips. But too long to brew and not enough of it. Way to overpriced as well. I may just end up with a percolator on a digital timer. Everything is just junk these days.

Nice coffee maker however, having the program feature took away the quick brew Bunn is famous for. There isn't a basin to hold heated water. Even without that, heating time is not too long. It still seems to be quicker than some coffee makers. I use the program feature and Love waking up to fresh brewed coffee.

the coffee is no hotter than a cheap coffee maker. We had the maker for 1 month and it keeps dripping for 15 minutes after it is supposed to be done. We cleaned it like the manual says, and it still drips for 15 minutes.

So. I want to give this product a fair review even though I don't think it functioned properly for me. If you're considering this maker, then you probably appreciate coffee a little more than some. Or you're fascinated by the unique appearance. It's huge and tall. A space ship. It won't fit under most cabinets. It also releases a lot of steam so I wouldn't place it under cabinets anyway. Either way, this thing takes forever to brew up a pot of coffee. Like.. 14 minutes for me. That's crazy, but I acknowledge what this maker does differently to make it take that long. It heats the water in the reservoir to optimum brewing temp before it actually begins brewing. From there, it functions basically like a pour over. Neat idea and theoretically should make some good tasting coffee. I live in Colorado at ~ 6,000 ft. This heat N brew is not designed to work over 4,000 ft. Bunn offers high altitude models of some of their other makers, but not this one unfortunately. I did not know that when I purchased it. I take accountability for not doing enough research, but at least I can pass these findings on to you. You're my friend, I want to look out for ya. So what symptoms will you experience if you use it at high altitude? After nearly every pot of coffee I made, the brewer would malfunction and give me an EE:03 error code. This code means that "insufficient water levels are in the reservoir". Well. Yeah. I just made a pot of coffee. The water is in the pot now. Not the reservoir. The only way to clear the code is to unplug the unit and plug it back in. This means I also had to reset the clock every time. Also, I attempted to use the timer so that could get a head start on that 14 minute brew time in the morning. But if the maker goes into that EE:03 error, the warming plate turns off. There were a few mornings where i wasn't around to catch it immediately and my coffee had cooled significantly. I was sad. I can't actually prove this last point so take it with a grain of salt. I theorize that the water was being overheated. It would boil in that tank. Like.. for a minute or two before it was actually released onto the coffee grounds. It made hot coffee, but there was very little flavor to my coffee. I would like to think that this is a result of malfunction and that it would make better tasting coffee if it were working correctly. So there you go. This thing looks awesome. Like a space ship on the counter. But mine doesn't work right. I'll hang on to it and maybe I'll move to a lower place someday and be able to enjoy it.

This product is for the simple coffee lover. Don't expect to reheat it if you don't finish all of your coffee, it does not provide that option. It turns on to brew, takes around10 min to finish, keeps it warm (not hot) for 2 hours, and that's it. You can program the start time, but let's hope that is a consistent time for you, everyday. This would be good for an elderly individual but not for a serious coffee drinking family.

Best ever. This coffee maker does not store hot water like normal Bunn coffee makers. It simply heats the water before it brews it. This will extend the brew time but doesn't waste electricity by keeping 12 cups of water hot at all times. The pot and maker are very well built. The maker handles my soft water great as previous Bunn coffee makers I've owned overflow coffee grounds all over the place.

This coffee pot is replacing a Bonavita that quit working week two of the Texas Stay at Home order. Yikes. I really like the heat to temp of the water before brewing - probably one of the best cups of coffee I've had and at a reasonable price. I only brew 4 cups at a time so I am pouring the last 2 pretty quick when the coffee is still hot and have not experienced any steam issues when pouring.

After hours of research on different coffee makers I decided this was the best option for me, but ended up returning it. Biggest problem was after it said it was done brewing it would keep dripping every few seconds for at least another 10 minutes. This would always make a mess, either it drips on the coffee warmer if you remove the pot or drip everywhere if you remove the filter holder. Other problems is there is no way to clean the tank. Why not just make the entire top removable? You have to pour water through plastic grates, which you will get back splash with the water hitting it. It has stair levels which show how much water is in but is very hard to read. The lid does not open far enough, only about 90 degrees. The way you have to tilt the coffee pot all the way up to empty it will get in the way of the lid. And for a $130 coffee maker there should be no plastic in the tank! Coffee had a weird taste to it because of the plastic! Even after about 10 cycles trying to flush the unit. Also the lid on the coffee pot was always falling off all the time because like I said earlier, the way the pot is designed you have to tilt it completely over to get all off the water/ coffee to pour out. Lastly, I did not notice much of a taste difference between this unit and my old $20 Mr Coffee. This was the most disappointing because I know traditional Bunn coffee maker make some of the best coffee. I would get a traditional Bunn model but I do not like the idea of leaving the tank plugged in and heating 24/7. I was hoping this unit would be the best of both worlds but it was not.

Unfortunately I have already thrown it away. It worked for a few days but then started to brew extremely slow!! The last pot I had made actually took an hour and a half! I gave it one star just because I have always used Bunn coffee pots and I still will. Have never had an issue before this one but this was my first programmable one. In fact, I never threw out my last Bunn so I am back to my old one and am a happy coffee drinker again!!

I don't like making large batches of coffee at home because of the poor quality of many at-home brewers. The Bunn brewer has many qualities that I need to recreate good coffee at home. It even impressed my parents! Pros: - Excellent temperature stability - Large coffee capacity - Excellent water distribution - Easy to clean Cons: - It does take 10 minutes to brew coffee

Have had several Bunn coffee makers. They have always been excellent. This unit seems to have developed a small leak around the top silver band at the top of the unit. Perhaps around the tank. I'm not sure. I have very soft water which usually produces very good coffee. The unit is a little weird looking imo but it makes excellent tasting coffee. The previous unit I had which supported single cup brew was the best but they stopped manufacturing it. The timer works fine on this one. Doesn't have a stop function so you have to wait until it's done brewing or make a small mess trying to pour a cup and slip another one under the basket. The other thing is the basket can come out really easy so if you bump it, it might slide out while it's brewing.. Not the best but not the worst. pricey for what you get. I would look at something different next time around.

Title is no joke. For the same volume of water I only need to add 2 scoops of coffee grounds instead of 3, so I am using 1/3rd less every day. Coffee comes out tasting very smooth. I thought it was hype but the design of this coffee maker really does improve the taste, and is even saving me money. It's somewhat expensive at full price but if you can find it on sale for under $100 jump on it.

I ordered this product from Amazon. Upon receiving it and setting up the automatic brew cycle, I found that the cycle did not work properly. When I called BUNN and gave customer service the proper numbers on the unit, it was discovered that this product was from 2018. Sitting in a warehouse for over a year. BUNN honored the purchase, sent a new product which works beautifully now. LOVE BUNN and its customer service--not as happy with Amazon.

Purchased coffee maker Jan 23rd 2020. Made really good coffee. Style was very nice. However, the green plastic coffee aerator broke off on Feb 26th. This fragile little plastic part fits above the filter which allows the hot water from the tank to spread over the coffee grounds making the coffee rich and wonderful. Without it the coffee is watered down. Disappointed this happened on a new unit. Do better Bunn!

We have had several Bunn machines in the past is unit is so much better. The size is great it's only a couple inches wider than the carafe, and the stand easily fits under the cabinet. This model has a easily programmable timer. It takes about 9 minutes for a full carafe. This is not like the Bunn units that store hot water all the time, it heats each time. It is easy to clean and look good.

For the price point and features, this is the best bargain for a SCAA brewer. The brew water being heated to the same temp (around 200F) before it is released into the coffee bed is a game changer. No pre-infusion, but the shower head design is similar the ones in the Bunn commercial machines. Can't get a cup before the brew is finished but it's best to wait anyway. Why waste all that time getting good coffee and brew temp if you fiddle with strength by taking a cup early? Your patience WILL be rewarded in that final balanced cup. I have seen a lot of dislike for the "no drip" carafe topper, but it does a really good job of not dripping coffee. It just looks like a bird beak is all. Additionally, dose your coffee appropriately (I do 60g/Liter) and tweak the grind size for appropriate strength and brew time. You can dial it in pretty easily. Pre-ground coffee folks, it may take a little more experimenting to get that cup you like. Happy caffeination, folks!

Works well. would have given it a 5 star if the water heater tank would have been all stainless steel instead of plastic. smells like plastic for the first week or so when brewing after that no more smell. it is a nice unit! Would have paid a little more for an all stainless steel tank though!! Snap on lid would have been a helpful access for cleaning the water tank. coffee is great from it!

Love our new coffee maker. I enjoy the programmable option to have it ready when I wake up. I haven’t cleaned it yet so cannot comment on that. The only issue, as I read in other reviews, is the way the steam rises out of the pot when you are pouring that last cup. It isn’t that big a deal and I work around it but only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star. Redesign of this would be a plus.

I never knew much about coffee makers. I’ve bought drip coffee makers in the past. The last one was a Hamilton Beach internal brew machine. The coffee brewed and stayed in the machine instead of a glass carafe. I thought it was great. Had it over 5 years. Maybe 7 years. That started to have problems so I bought another Hamilton Beach with a stainless carafe. The coffee wasn’t hot when it left the machine. I had to heat it up in the microwave. Tasted bitter and just warm. I didn’t want a glass carafe so I kept researching. I discovered that the water needed to reach 200 degrees to make a good pot of coffee. So I kept looking. Some were over $200. I kept seeing the same coffee makers in every review site. Different problems with different products. Looked for days. Finally saw this one on a review site. It never popped up on Amazon. I don’t know if it’s new or what. I didn’t want the glass carafe but gave in. The stainless one didn’t keep the coffee hot. I ordered this, then saw that it went on sale after it was shipped. Amazon couldn’t do anything. I went to the Bunn site and saw it even cheaper and I also order a box of 1000 filters. I returned the one from Amazon and the one from Bunn came the next day. Wonderful coffee maker! Coffee is heated to over 200 degrees, and is smooth. No bitterness or strange taste. Now I know what I’ve been missing all these years! Simple machine to use. Can’t sneak a peak, and it seems the only problem might be the green water filter the water goes through as it leaves the machine. If you have a lot of minerals in the water, you’ll have to watch that. It will slow the water down. The little manual give great directions on how to clean that and the whole machine. The clock and timer is easy to set. It’s easy to read. I’ve done 6 cups so far and the wait is similar to my old coffee maker to brew. It gives a good guide line in the manual of cups/ounces of water to coffee I founds the 6 cups to 6 tbsp coffee guideline to be accurate.

Had the older Bunn that started to leak. Decided on this one and I'm so glad I did, love it so glad I got this one. It has programmer to set coffee to be made when you get up automatic cut off in 2 hours, so if you leave and forgot to turn off the coffee pot, it will turn itself off. Makes great coffee

It stops working when it states it needs to be cleaned. I’ve no problem with the advisory warning - but STOPS WORKING completely - no option to override or anything. Couldn’t be more frustrated.

This coffee maker takes about 20 minutes to brew one pot of coffee, now can no longer use the timer feature since the water will leak “cold” on to the grounds. Very disappointed in this product.

I could taste a difference on the first pot. And no dripping from the "no drip" coffee makers. I set the timer and have coffee waiting for me. It does take 10+ minutes to brew. Love it!

My wife and I are avid coffee drinkers and have been using a BUNN for well over 15 years - other coffee pots simply don't compare, or at least the ones we have used. I was excited to see that BUNN put out a pot that had a glass carafe and a timer however I was a little disappointed in the fact that the brew time was not signature 3 minute BUNN. However the timer and the design was worth a try. So having used this coffee maker now for a few months, I can say that without a doubt that it delivers superior results and the quality that we have been accustomed to! Additionally, we just set the timer 10 minutes early and still wake up to piping hot coffee with the bonus of not keeping the tank water constantly hot for brewing. While I'm sure it isn't much, it saves a little electricity. Another great BUNN product and with the redesign, looks nice and modern in the kitchen!

If you’re looking for a cup of coffee that tastes like Starbucks or your own French Press, this is not it. Even with the best beans and multiple grinds the resulting coffee lacks any flavor depth and has a plastic blandness to it. My search for a drip machine continues - however, of the drips I’ve owned this one is the most sturdy and makes a better cup of coffee than similarly priced drips. If your go-to coffee is Dunkin Donuts, you’ll love this machines ease of use and solid carafe and construction.

This is a contemporary looking spin on an old favorite coffee maker. That said, the inner-workings appear to be of less quality than the original. Specifically, there is a chartreuse colored disc that spin-mounts to the water dispensary area below the filter basket, which becomes clogged (with minerals from the water?) at every brew. It requires a slight dismantling of the unit for rinsing before EVERY brew cycle. I have read that this is a known problem with this model & that there is a different (metal) substitute disc available for purchase through Bunn Parts Department, but I haven't pursued it, yet.

This made excellent coffee once then never worked again because we live at 6200 feel above sea level. Customer service is awesome and Amazon accepted the return without issue. The ad listing should state a 4,000 foot maximum as stated by Bunn customer service.

We have had Bunn's in the past, so thought we would try one again. It was absolutely a joke! Tasted horrible! Used a lot of coffee. Did not heat up to the 195* it said it would. Never kept it long enough to have to clean it. So can not give an opinion on that. Would not recommend spending any amount of money for it.

Have been a Bunn user for a long time and wanted an option with a scheduled brewing option since most other options don't have that and it still takes a little while to brew. Plus this is probably more energy efficient. I had this style of Bunn a few years ago and actually threw it away because it was super loud while brewing and woke me / my family up all the way from the kitchen when it started brewing. Fortunately, this one doesn't have that problem and is virtually silent when brewing which was a huge relief when I first used it. Great product, great coffee, quiet performance.

It produces great coffee as advertised. I was just a little disappointed that the water reservoir tends to fill beyond the capacity of the filters. So, the grounds wind up clinging to the upper sides of the basket. But, they don't appear to make their way into the carafe. It's more of a cleaning annoyance that anything. All in all I'm pleased with the purchase.

It makes fine coffee. I typically brew a pot and may not get to drinking all of it for a few hours, however. The warmer turns off after two hours and if you press the brew button to turn it back on, it will display an error message due to there being no water. The warmer does not turn on and the only way to get rid of the error message and put the coffee maker back into a working state, is to unplug it completely. This resets the clock and the timer.

I have gone thru a lot of the lesser brands and low cost coffee makers over the years, many not even lasting a full year before failing in one way or another. So far this machine has proved reliable and more efficient at delivering me decent pots of coffee every day. It cost more than the cheap ones, so that It will have to keep doing this for another 3-4 years but so far I can see little that could go wrong with its design.

so I fell in love with the BUNN at my office back in 2012 and when I used to look at it I would feel that industrial look may have something to do with the way the coffee tastes so good. being a fan of "Peets brazil nut minhas" coffee I am extremely particular on having a full bodied coffee with a smooth flavor. I don't like burnt, over bitterer, or over caffeinated coffees. coffee has to be just right and after I bought my cuisinart and had it for a while I was ready for something new especially after my home remodel that pretty much added dust particles to so many of my appliances I was just ready. I bought that European coffee maker called moccamaster which was all fancy and was sooooo excited to get it but only to be disappointed on how quickly it would send extreme hot water through the coffee that I was not properly getting the flavor of my coffee. I tried it three days and sent it back .. I was afraid that nothing would match up to the industrial bunn from my work ( commercial size ) or the cuisinart but something told me to just try this bunn. I did some quick research on their web page and saw that it does slowly brew and temperature is gauged based on giving the consumer a perfect smooth brew. it gave me a little confidence and I went for it .... its the best coffee I had in years !!! THANK YOU BUNN ,.. I am happy to have this smooth coffeee again now .. I love this little coffee maker ..

It's a Bunn coffee maker... I have always loved coffee made from Bunn coffee makers, so I decided it would be nice to have an automatic.....sometimes it is difficult to know for sure that it is set to brew on automatic.... and it would be really god if the warmer plate stayed on for longer than 2 hours..... Coffee is good tho, and I still love Bunn...

This coffee maker works great but is slower than the KitchenAid it replaced. It is much easier to clean. After 11 months of daily use the tank holding the brewing water stopped draining properly (completely). I called customer service at Bunn and explained my problem to Jim. Without any questions, he said a new replacement unit would be shipped to me immediately-and it was. Great warranty service.

THIS IS NOT A BUNN - Bunn Is known for having a tank that allows for INSTANT coffee - pour water - out comes coffee - THIS DOES NOT HAVE A TANK - YOU WAIT - JUST ANOTHER COFFEE MAKER - KNOCK OFF - NOT like the regular Bunn with tank that holds water so you always have hot water allowing instant brewing VERY DISSAPPOINTED paid same price for Bunn with tank - got a cheap coffee pot - box in trash can't return - lesson learned

For years, my husband worked out of town, and instead of wasting coffee, I finally broke down and bought a Keurig. It was okay, but I missed a fresh true brewed cup of coffee. Luckily, husband retired from the road and this was my first purchase. No more Keurig. I love that it’s programmable AND A BUNN! Coffee was soooo good this morning.

Purchased to replace a Bunn Pulse Brew which was ether discontinued or just upgraded to the Heat N Brew. The first miss is brew temperature. Ours will not brew hotter than 182 degrees which is 20 degrees cooler than our previous Bunn. Don’t know if this is a design flaw or just a problem with our unit. The next issue is the Black plastic indicators for water fill level. Water can splash all over the counter if not poured in just the right place and the black interior of the fill area requires a flashlight to see what your doing. The last issue with this brewer is they’ve replaced the metal brew basket with a plastic one (which we left in the box and used the old one.)

The coffee from this machine is the best coffee I have ever drank. Let me say this. I love coffee. I drink 5-7 lattes per week in addition to 2 pots of coffee per day in my house. Yes, some of this is decaf or 50-50. We buy fresh roasted beans from our local roaster and grind them right before we make coffee. So I thought I was already somewhat of a coffee snob. When our old Braun coffee maker died, I thought I would do a little research to find out what makes good coffee. This led me to the pour over method, and this pot. The coffee is slow to brew because all the water heats up first before it starts the brew process. So, I had to get adjusted to not having my coffee quickly. This is all worth it because the coffee is so very very good. It smells good. It tastes good. I am just so thrilled to have found this coffee maker. I am also glad I purchased the Bunn because I can program it to brew before I get up in the morning, so I don't have to wait. Overall, you should not buy any other coffee maker. This is the one! One more interesting note is that my parents had a Bunn coffee maker 20 years ago with a water reservoir that was always full of water and always hot. I worked in a restaurant with a Bunn coffee maker, with the same thing. I actually worried about --and gave them a hard time about --the health concerns of hot water sitting in the reservoir for days. Thankfully this home version does not have that feature anymore! My parents would be shocked to know I bought a Bunn! Only thing I give less than 5 stars to is "Easy to Use" because of the slow brewing. But it is definitely worth it.

This coffee maker brews great coffee. It does what it's supposed to do without any frills...unless you think a clock and programmable start timer are frills. Do I think it's slightly over priced? Yes. Did I pay extra for the SCAA certification and Bunn brand name? Yes. A couple things to note are that it's much lighter than I expected, but that doesn't impact the performance. It's also taller than some other coffee makers, but anyone complaining that it doesn't fit on their kitchen counter under a cabinet didn't do any simple research on the product before purchasing. With all this being said, would I buy it again? Definitely.

We specifically purchased BUNN because it was supposed to be made in the USA. However, it was not and when it arrived it had made in china all over the box :( but we decided to keep it because it is difficult to find a coffee maker with these features made in the USA. BUNN is a US based family owned company so we kept it. It has done great thus far...

We have had Bunn Coffee brewers for the last 20 years and love the coffee brewed in them. Our 9 year old NHS Velocity Brew started leaking hot water from the bottom so it was time for a new one. We saw this model and decided to give it a try since we didn't have the need for back to back pots of coffee and liked the fact that we could program it to make the coffee so it was ready when we wake. We have been drinking coffee for a few days from a cheap Black and Decker machine while waiting for the Bunn to arrive and the flavor just wasn't what we were used to. The Bunn HB arrived and we brewed our first pot. It was back to the good flavor that comes from a Bunn! If you are coming from a more traditional Bunn brewer and are concerned the flavor won't be there in this brewer, don't be, it makes great coffee!

Ok, so I am going to try to keep this review short, because I know I cannot stand to read long reviews I usually will move on to the next one. Let's get to the point, I'm 58 years old and I've had a lot of coffee pots in my time however this is the very best one, which does not surprise me because Bunn makes awesome products. I read the reviews before I bought this pot and there were some concerns about the plastic smell. I ran some vinegar and water through the pot and that solved the problem. Every coffee pot I have ever owned has a plastic smell in the beginning. You will not go wrong with this coffee pot trust me!

I will start by saying I love the product and it makes great coffee. They have made a few design changes from the previous model that are really annoying. First, the new pot is a fish bowl shape with a weird aardvark looking lid (I assume to minimize drips, but I never had that problem on the old design) versus the straight sides of the old design. In order to pour out the last 2 cups, you have to tilt the pot past 90 degrees and the steam from the coffee burns your hand. Second, they took the nice stainless filter holder and switched to a cheap plastic. I threw mine away and use the old stainless filter holder as it looks better and is easier to keep clean. Third, the top where you pour in the water now has a neat stair step design that tells you how many cups of water you have poured into the machine. While this seems like a good upgrade, it was not tested properly. Now everytime I pour water into the machine, the water hits the flat part of the measuring steps and splashes all over the counter. This was a huge miss and is probably the most anoying of the three problems that did not exist in the old design. Hopefully Bunn reads this and corrects the problems in the next design. Unfortunately for me, the product is such a high quality device (my last machine lasted for over 10 years with proper cleaning) I will have to put up with these annoyances for a while yet. With that said, I would still highly recommend this product.

I was not discounted or paid for this review. Awesome coffee maker! Watched the viral video about Keurig and the bacteria that can never be cleaned out of them and ordered this after the MR Coffee broke after about 3 weeks. Yes this machine is expensive, but the flavor is unlike most coffee makers. That is due in part to heating the water to almost boiling and then percolating, which gives you better flavor, aroma, and body! Highly recommended! Please understand your coffee will taste so much better with this machine and you might enjoy brands you didn't like before due to this brewing process.. Great timer functions and design. Ditch your Keurig and buy a BUNN, your guests will love you for it! Fast shipping!

Doesn't brew a pot of coffee as fast as the older version. Takes about 7 minutes as you have to wait for the water to heat up. Hard to "steal" a cup while brewing. Bunn is by far still the best. Love the auto start feature. Also has auto shut off, which I didn't realize when I bought it.

I'm don't drink coffee very often, but I know what a good cup of coffee should taste like. My wife in the other hand drinks a pot a day. Overall I'm really liking this coffee maker. They claim 10 minutes to make a full pot, but ours seems like it brews faster than that. I'll time it next time. Makes a really good strong cup of coffee, maybe almost too strong, but not bitter at all. I do get a few grounds in the bottom which I am not sure why because we are using the filter that came with it and are using the recommended amount of coffee for a gold cup. I'm hoping the quality is up to par with other Bunn products.

The coffee maker does not have a sensor letting the machine know if the carafe is in place or not. Therefore when you set the auto start function to brew, it is going to brew whether or not the carafe is in or not. With that said I woke up to my coffee maker having brewed an entire pot of coffee all over the floor of my apartment and ruining my hardwood floors. This is a very basic, fundamental function that Bunn has skipped with this coffee maker. Now I have property damage and will be filing a claim further with Bunn for their engineering negligence.

For about a year I had a different Bunn machine (one of the speed/velocity brewers) which made incredible coffee but was not the most convenient of machines to use nor was it programmable. After trying out a Cuisinart machine I discovered that I had gotten used to really good coffee and the Cuisinart was just not cutting it for me (and it was a pain to clean). In comes the Bunn HB, which makes amazing coffee and is programmable. This machine is easy to use, easy to clean, and is programmable. I also think they made changes to the coffee holding basket as it is far less likely to keep dripping after it is done brewing. I’ve seen reviews talking about a plastic smell/taste… this never happened to my unit. I have no real complaints.

I don't normally write reviews but I have to in this case. I love this coffee maker. It is just what I was looking for. It takes a while longer to brew than your typical home coffee maker but it's worth it. The water is heated to the proper temperature before brewing starts and the water is sprayed evenly over the grounds. I checked the water temperature with a digital thermometer and it comes in at a perfect 197 degrees. Admittedly the water level indicator is not easy to use but I overcame this by determining the proper amount of water using the carafe and just pour it in, ignoring the level indicator. I don't think you can find a better home coffee maker.

Finally, coffee that tastes like real brewed coffee! I've used Bunn machines for many years, but with the advent of the Keurig machines, I kind of left the Bunn behind and moved on. I have been using the k-cups with several different machines over the past several years and basically forgot how good real coffee used to be. I do buy coffee beans online and grind my own, and also will use the actual k-cups, which I'm not a fan of. The Bunn is definitely not as quick as a Keurig machine, but while I'm preparing breakfast, I start the brewing, and it's done within 5 minutes since I measure out 24oz of water; so about 5 cups of coffee on the pot's cup indicator. Haven't made a full pot yet, but I'm sure it will take about 8-10 minutes. Easy cleanup too. Brews so nice and hot. It is a tall machine, like 16" so it does not fit under my cabinets on the countertop. It actually just meets the bottom of the cabinet. But It works out fine for me as I have a lot of space. It is also a nice-designed unit. I haven't used the programming yet, but I'm sure it works. I don't have the need to auto-start the machine in the morning.

I didn’t want to have to write this review because I wanted so badly for this to be a great addition to our kitchen but after my experience with Bunn’s customer service I decided I’ll share: My husband loves coffee. He is picky about his coffee. He likes to make it himself but he had been making it from an older coffee pot and I wanted to surprise him with something he’d enjoy for our anniversary. So I did lots of research and came to the conclusion that with their special coffee temperature technology and good reviews both on amazon and online that this coffee maker would be the best. I bought it for what I would consider quite the price point for a coffee maker but then again, I am not like my husband and I trusted that Bunn would make him an awesome pot of coffee to his liking. Heres what happened. We ran the maker on day one. VERY strong plastic smell and taste. Ok, it’s new we’ll run some vinegar solution through a few times no big deal. Day 5- still extremely strong plastic smell and taste. I look online for answers. Some people say theyve also had this issue but to keep trying. At this point we have wasted a lot of coffee. Day 10. Getting ridiculous now so I decide to call customer service for BUNN. I get a woman who almost laughs at my concern and tells me that I may have to do this for a month for it to be right. And that I can call back after a month if it still tastes like plastic. The sad part is, we gave it a month. I dont know what we were thinking. The coffee maker is still awful and we couldnt return it and customer service is awful for BUNN telling us we cant get a new one since the plastic smell and taste always goes away. I dont want anything tasting or smelling like plastic near me. This stupid, cumbersome giant of a coffee maker is now in a box in our basement. I will never buy a BUNN coffee maker again

Best Coffee maker made. I had a bunn for 33 years it finally give up. still have it. Just cant part with it. It Just wont heat water hot any more. I tried a MR Coffee. 2 brand new ones lasted 3 weeks each then only would make 3 cups then quit. The bunn does not spill water when you fill it and will take it fast with no problems. It also fits in the corner very tight. Have a cup of coffee on me Have Good Day!

Great Coffee, we use either Columbian whole bean or Dunkin ground and brews a nice full body and no bitter cup of coffee. I have a sister that makes her coffee the Pour Over method and a brother who has a stove top percolator coffee maker and both make great coffee but we wanted something more automated. The idea of the water being heated to 200 degrees and then sprayed onto the coffee is very much like the pour over method that people rave about. Yes it takes about 10 minutes to brew a fresh 10 cups of coffee but it is hot (and stays hot with warmer) and worth every second to get a fresh cup of coffee that tastes this good ! I fill water (filtered from the fridge) the night before, weigh beans and put into burr grinder and filter in basket the night before and then in morning we grind the bans and put into basket. Push button and come back 10 minutes later, maybe 4 minutes longer than previous Cusinart coffee maker.

Makes a good cup of coffee and looks simple yet sophisticated. Took a few days to get the "plastic" taste out of the coffee even though I cleaned it first but now that it has worked it out it makes a good cup of coffee. Easy to use, love that I can set it up the night before and wake up to a fresh pot of coffee. The water measurement guide on the machine can be hard to see and confusing, I just follow the lines on the coffee pot. Coffee pot has a unique looking pour spout but it seems to work, no issues pouring. I noticed that if I made more than 6 cups of coffee the grounds would come up over the filter, even if using the bunn provided filters. Evidently this can occur if you have softened water, which I have. So after some investigation I contacted bunn and requested a low flow water spray head which they sent me for free. It helped reduce the frequency of spill over but did not eliminate it. Overall I am satisfied.

I chose this Bunn coffee maker due to the fact it had a clock display with a programmed timer for in the morning. The coffee maker is the tallest I ever had but it does fit fine under the upper kitchen cabinets. I could tell it was tall in the picture but was still surprised when it came. It's about the same height as my blender and I just keep them together in that little nook. It makes the best coffee my husband and I have ever tasted at home. We have had many inexpensive and moderately expensive brands. Since Bunn is a restaurant grade brand we thought it might be a nice coffee maker to try and we were right. It doesn't start dripping until its reached its highest temperature and keeps it steady at that temperature the entire time. You will hear a slight knock once it begins to drip. I think when it recognizes it has hit that temperature it releases the lever to start the drip which in turn makes the 1-time knock sound. It's a single knock so do not be alarmed, nothing has broken. I remember thinking what was that sound the 1st time I heard it but I realized after the 2nd pot that this was normal. I have made at least 25 or so pots of coffee. My husband and I drink separate kinds so we each make 2 pots a day. 1 thing I do not like is the lid to the carafe. It has an oddly elongated spout that will make the coffee spill out unless you keep the lid held up or with the lid down and you pour slower than anyone would ever pour coffee. Then when I tried to clean the lid it flew off of the carafe. I decided at that point I would just leave the lid off altogether. That was on the 2nd or 3rd pot. So if for some reason you do the same, I have not had any splash back while making coffee. And I have not had any spills pouring coffee. Everything works absolutely perfect without the lid for me. So I just never put it back on. Its the only thing I did not like about the coffee maker. The Bunn came with a free pack of filters. It does not come with a reusable filter or a water filter. The top water reservoir has steps per cups of coffee. So say for some reason you had to use other means to fill your water reservoir you would know how many cups of coffee you would be making by those steps. The carafe is marked with the cups as well. Its a really nice coffee maker and it's really easy to setup. I would recommend this one.

I am reviewing the Bunn HB (Heat and Brew) coffee maker. Bunn has come up with an automatic start on this model which allows me to program to a certain time to begin brewing. I have owned two Bunn coffee makers and always wondered why they didn't make an auto start coffee brewer. Since there was a reservoir for the water to stay heated I assumed they didn't see the need for it. The difference in this model is I don't have to keep it plugged in, although I do. It does take approximately ten minutes for the the complete cycle. But I use the auto start by programing the time I want. I put my coffee and water in the brewer and set it for whatever time I desire. I have read where some thinks it takes too long to heat up. I say this is perfect for me. I have coffee waiting for me when I wake up in the am. There is a digital display to set the current time and by doing this first, you can then set the auto start, if you so desire. It brews four cups up to 10 cups maximum. If you don't want to use the auto start, you can speed up the brewing time by adding hot water. The warmer plate goes off in two hours, but can be reset by holding the brew button for five seconds. This model is much taller than the other Bunn models. The height is 16 inches compared to 14 inches in the other model. The spray head is exclusive, commercial style with 6 streams of hot water that goes over the coffee grounds. It also comes with a 3 year warranty. I highly recommend this Bunn HB Model coffee brewer if you want an excellent cup of coffee.

Let me just start by saying that I do like this coffee maker, it is very good quality and produces a good pot of coffee, but there are just a few things that I think could be better, especially for the price. Right out of the box the first thing you will notice is how very tall it is, just over 16 inches, so if like me you are needing to put this on a shelf or your counter top under your cupboard it may not fit so make sure you measure good before buying. The second con for me is the carafe, it's only 10 cups instead of a preferred 12 cup size, now on a standard coffee maker I would not complain, but for a coffee maker of this size there is no reason it cannot have a bigger carafe. The last thing I wish it had is a permanent filter so I don't have to purchase paper filters, however I will look into purchasing one of those separately. As for the brew time I would say it's about 20 minutes in total, it takes about 10 minutes or so for the water to heat thoroughly before it will start brewing and from then it's about another 10 minutes to brew the full pot of coffee. The length of the brew time does not bother me because I do believe that it helps with the quality, the coffe is brewed hot and stays hot longer. Overall this is a good quality coffee maker, but for the price and size I think it could be a little better.

The BUNN® Heat N' Brew™ 10-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker is very sleek and stylish. I was drawn to it the moment I set eyes on it and I'm completely loving it now that I have it... I absolutely love the design in the finish and the sleek modern look. It's a lovely new design with a digital clock that remains one Which is a help in the mornings that are being as hectic as they are. The one thing I have to say I like the fact that it now preheats the water before brewing. As the older models did not I think this is the most stylish model of the lineup for sure. Fortunately my coffee pot had broke in transit so I'm doing this review using a different pot on the bun system, The coffee still came out pretty amazing using my own pot and not the one that comes with it I can't bought the company for not using a stainless steel pot that would be amazing maybe in the future. The coffee came out perfect and it was quicker than I expected I definitely will be keeping this one I just wish I had a replacement part which I guess I can do by asking them to send me a replacement

We love this Bunn HB Heat N Brew. Very simple to use. Just set the timer & HOT coffee ready to go when we wake up. We have received several comments on the sleek, modern design. We mistakenly ordered two, but decided to keep the extra for future use.
