Things to consider before juicing?
Juicing citrus typically takes longer. Try another type if you've never done this before and are pressed for time. Preparation requires extra time (peeling). But trust me, it's worthwhile.
The majority of citrus fruits harvested in the USA are picked before they are fully ripe, making them sour to consume. Buy citrus fruits that are tree-ripened if you can!
Peel citrus fruits always; the only exceptions are lemons and limes. Before juicing citrus, the peel must be removed since it contains oils that cannot be digested. Instead of spending the time peeling the fruit for recipes involving citrus juice, I find it simpler to chop the skin off.
A Citrus Juicer: What Is It?
A kitchen appliance called a citrus juicer is made exclusively for extracting juice from citrus fruits. Depending on how much citrus needs to be juiced, there are both manually operated and electrically operated models available, with many chefs favoring one over the other. A citrus juicer is a great kitchen item and is a thoughtful present because the majority of cooks can use it. Citrus juicers are commonly available at most kitchen supply stores, typically in a variety of designs.

Cuisinart (CCJ-900) Citrus Juicer with Carafe Customer Reviews
I originally owned model CCJ 500, which after a week of use, would run but reamer would not turn, so returned it for the more expensive model CCJ 900 thinking it would perform better. Didn't even finish juicing the first orange half when the GFCI tripped. Tried it numerous times and it continued to trip the GFCI. Had an electrician check my outlets, no problem. Needless to say, that juicer went back, don't need a fire in my house.
