I agree that it runs very hot. I recently bought this crock pot and was happy to use it for the first time. I started my ribs on medium and within three hours it was boiling. My first Crock Pot (from years ago) never cooked that way on medium. When I turned the setting to warm and checked on it an hour later, it was still boiling. The cover does not fit properly, it's very loose and the handle is not centered. Very disappointed in this product.

Made chili. Started on high. It did well. Moved it to low and brought to first sign of bubbling. Then turned it on warm. Full boil in 30 minutes. Couldn't get it to not boil. Every crockpot I ever had never even bubbled on warm. Not sure if defective or just a bad purchase on my part. Very disappointing.

I've used crock pots all my adult life and never had anything burn in them until I bought this crock pot. I have cooked 4 meals in this crock pot, all of them burned. The last meal I cooked was chili. In preparation for a possible over cook, I only used the high setting for 30 mins, then the low setting for 2 hours and realized that the chili was already cooking way to hot. I reduced the heat to warm and the chili still burned. I had to scrap about a half inch of burned chili off the sides of the pot! I wonder if I have a malfunctioning one?? The recipes I used were all crock pot recipes and had appropriate liquid and filled the crock enough. I was looking forward to making a pot of beans, however, I will not leave this unattended if I use it at all.
