A perfect addition to any modern kitchen, this 10-cup automatic coffeemaker grinds whole beans right before brewing to produce a fresh and flavorful pot of coffee. The 24-hour fully programmable unit works great for "wake-up" coffee or having coffee ready when it's time to serve dessert--without getting up from the table. In addition, its brew-pause function makes it simple to sneak a cup before the end of the brewing cycle.
The Grind & Brew Coffeemaker features a separate grinding assembly and filter chamber to make beans easy to add and used grounds easy to remove. A convenient "grind off" control turns the grinder off when preground coffee is used.
Smaller amounts can be brewed without any loss of flavor thanks to the units 1- to 4-cup setting. For added convenience, the coffeemaker provides a large control panel, adjustable automatic shut-off from zero to four hours, and a 10-cup (5 ounces each) double-wall thermal carafe with a generous stay-cool handle and drip-free pouring spout.

The machine will make coffee even if you don't have the carafe in place leading to a kitchen catastrophe once the basket fills with coffee. Needs a switch that prevents operation until carafe in in place

No big deal it grinds the coffee beans. Really don't taste the difference, sorry I bought this and didn't keep my old coffee maker that also brewed one cup right into the cup.

I purchased this to replace my previous 12 cup version that I had for over 10 years. I was so pleased with the previous one, I did extensive searches to find one that is the most similar. It is so convenient to grind the beans and brew in one appliance, the carafe keeps the coffee warm for hours. I was looking for an update and am very pleased.

I had the same previous model for many years (10+). When the old one finally started to give out (was leaking from the bottom), we researched top of the line alternative coffeemakers. I came back to this same, slightly updated model, and I'm glad I did. I like the combo grind with filter, because I usually add a scoop of ground Hazelnut coffee to the filter for a little flavor, then grind fresh regular Breakfast Blend beans. Some of the old parts will still work in this new one, so I saved them, just in case. Overall, I'd prefer the same model, but with a 6-Cup size, because I almost never make more than 4-5 cups daily. It's nice they sent a few paper filters as a starter, but I wish the filters they sent were the brown unbleached kind, instead of the white bleached filters (more care for the environment).

This is my second purchase of this unit. Love being able to grind and brew in one unit. I do want to make a comment on the grind lid.....with a lot of use (3 pots a day). This lid with heat and being wet does eventually start cracking, not in just one spot but spider cracks thru out. A MUST to make sure after every use to wipe and dry out the inside.

I really like this product. We had this coffeemaker for 10 years and just recently replaced it with the newer version. The carafe on the newer version dripped/leaked when pouring and I had to contact Cuisinart. The company replaced the carafe and it is now fine!

This was my second purchase of a grind and brew. I wore the first one out. Best coffee maker for me.

I had a Grind & Brew for 12 years. I used it everyday. It was the best coffeemaker that I’ve ever had. It started leaking and the coffee wasn’t as hot as it used to be, just part of age and being used everyday. I replaced it with a new Grind & Brew. I will never be without it, I will be heartbroken if it is ever discontinued.

I received this from my mother for Christmas and immediately fell in love with it. It’s a tad intensive to clean, but so worth it. The key is buying locally roasted coffee. The fresher the beans, the better the coffee.

Fresh, Delicious, Simple to Operate & Clean, Cuisinart Grind N Brew This is my third Cuisinart 'Grind N Brew' I have enjoyed over the last 14 years. Undoubtedly, the best one. With our frequent use, we have worn these units out. My wife and I are 'true-blue' coffee lovers. We enjoy coffee several times a day, especially, since the wife is a fantastic baker – and, 'goodies' are always available. We don't scrimp on the richness, or, cost of the best coffee beans we can buy, and, are meticulous about the quality of our water, and cleanliness of our coffee maker (that is my job). At first we used a much more expensive, Grind N Brew, it was a total disaster. In 2004 a close family member recommended the Cuisinart Grind N Brew, and, we have been loyal customers ever since. The first unit was a nightmare to clean, but the quality of the brewed coffee made me overlook the tedious chore of cleaning it. Our second Cuisinart was much improved, but still a task to clean. Now this latest unit we have, Cuisinart DGB-650BC Grind & Brew Thermal™ 10 Cup Automatic Coffeemaker, is absolutely the 'best-est'. I like the one to four cup brewing option along with 'Grinder OFF', so you can use grounds if that is what you prefer. Every removable brewing component is dish-washer safe. However, since I am retired and have the time I recommend any user of this machine to hand-wash each component. It doesn't take that much time, and it will be much more thorough then your dishwasher. Although the Programmable Option is a nice feature, we never use it, because we are always up at the crack of dawn and love to use our Grind N Brew to fill the kitchen with heavenly aromas. Other then great quality coffee beans, clean unit, the most important element is, of course, your water. Cannot emphasize that enough, and, so does Cuisinart. We have well water, which I have tested annually. I installed filters for calcium carbonate, sediment, and rust particles. Calcium carbonate will degrade heating elements rather quickly. We enjoy the taste of our water for drinking, general cooking, and making coffee. YUM! Additionally, I like that Cuisinart has an auxiliary charcoal filter in the water intake side of this unit, which removes chlorine, odors, and 'other' impurities. When I ordered my unit I also included a 12-Pack of Cuisinart Charcoal Water Filters – its worth it. Although I love the coffee from my Grind N Brew unadulterated, my wife, however, is the genuine gourmet. She uses the Cuisinart Tazzaccino Milk Frother to add that special touch of epicurean delight. She even adds flavors, like shaved dark chocolate, or cinnamon to her frothed milk to further enhance an already rich and near-perfect cup of coffee. WooHoo! Thank You, Cuisinart for enabling us to take so much delight at the start of our day in early morning with a great cup of fresh, brewed coffee. I highly recommend this Cuisinart DGB-650BC Grind & Brew Thermal™ 10 Cup Automatic Coffeemaker. If you are 'serious' about delicious, fresh-brewed coffee and take the steps to insure quality – You won't be disappointed.
