Makes great coffee and great espresso. It is a bit finicky in terms of the order of operations. I don't like how the water at the heat up and rinse phases are supposed to go into the tray. I just put a mug under the spout to catch this water instead. Descaler isn't too expensive.

My wife and I love this machine. Makes perfect Espresso and Cappuccino perfectly every time. The machine is fully adjustable especially for the temperature which the preset hotness never seems really hot enough. No problem! Simple adjustment makes it hotter. This unit replaces an older DeLongi Magnifica Espresso machine. This new unit is vastly superior to the older one. The Walmart price was excellent, by far the best price we found and the free shipping option to our local store save us some extra bucks. The in store pickup was so simple with the new locker system they've recently installed. In and out in less than 3 minutes! Wow!!

I couldn't imagine my life without coffee and this Espresso Machine is a life saver. It is quick and easy to use and make a perfect cup of coffee every time. I like the fack that the coffee beans are grained right before brewing, it makes an unbelivable difference on the taste. I would highly recommend this coffee machine to any coffee lovers. If I could image the perfect cappuccino/ espresso machine, this would be it. It was so easy to set up from delivery to my counter top with the help of two instruction manuals, a DVD and a 800 number just in case you need extra help. I got the XS size which fit perfectly on my counter not taking up a lot of space. It is self cleaning and scaling so the machine stays it top performing order for every cup it makes. From the strength of the coffee to the temperature of the water; everything can be customized to my taste. I make myself piping hot cappuccinos and espressos. My girls go to the specialty coffee shops ALL the time. Hopefully with this machine, they will stop. This thing makes an AMAZING Espresso, Cappuccino, and coffee! As I was taking it out of the box, I was like there is no way I am gonna be able to figure this out. My daughter was like, we will figure it out together. 20 minutes later we are all enjoying a cup of Mmmmm. Don't be intimidated by the looks of it. It is really easy to use. Everything about this machine is wonderful, the initial set up was a little bit hard, but manageable. I love how it grinds up the fresh beans and makes the best tasteing cup of coffee. The water heats up very fast and cleaning up the grinds is easy because they are compressed into little disks that i use in compost. The upkeep is really easy as its mostly self cleaning. The size is perfect it sits easily on my counter top and the auto shut off after 3 hours is very convienient. It makes coffee shop quality coffee and cappuccinos. I was so excited to start using this. I have not been drinking coffee as much because the coffee from my normal machine just hasn't been doing it for me. I fully expected this to be complicated and was thinking I'd only use it every now and then. To my surprise, it's super easy to use and I use it everyday! The machine is just the right size, not too bulky, which is good because I have limited counter space. There is definitely a bit of a learning curve. I'm not coffee expert so I had to learn. The instructions it comes with are very thorough and easy to understand. Once you get it; it's as easy as the press of a button! You can really customize every feature; coffee temperature, intensity, coffee type..etc. I'm really enjoying cappuccinos and lattes. So exciting that I get to have coffee house drinks every day within minutes! You can use whole beans or espresso powder. I will say I have had better experience with the beans. They grind down fast and produce fresher coffee.The amount of beans per cup used is very little so I don't have to go through several bags a month. The espresso powder works/taste fine but I have had a little trouble getting the machine to accept the powder after I put it in. It will often get stuck/blocked in the little chute and I have to push it through manually. Not a huge deal but the beans are better to use. I haven't had any issues with those getting clogged or backed up. The coffee brews very fast too! I was impressed it produced coffee straight from bean to cup so quickly. It's very easy to clean out the coffee grounds as well, they just plop into the bottom. The milk frother is really fun and easy to use also. I'm getting better at it. I've found that adding a little liquid creamer to the milk makes extra smooth, dense froth and adds a bit of flavor as well. I find I don't need as much sugar that way. Overall, a great machine. I'm never going back to another coffee shop, to my 8 cup machine or to my pod machine. This espresso/cappuccino/miracle maker is incredible!!! Now let me start off with how daunting this machine looks when you first take it out. It is intimidating. Don't let that fool you though. It's super easy and really fun. Took probably 5 min for setup after reading the instructions. It's already preset up with the average coffee ground setting people prefer, I adjusted it slightly stronger to my liking which was super easy to do. So easy to make espresso shots, and cappuccino/lattes! The step by step instructions are really easy to follow and made me a barista in no time. I've made multiple drinks a day, and have impressed my husband, family and friends. The milk steamer is really easy to use and clean as well. I've also appreciated that the machine cleans itself when it starts up and gets shut down. So make sure you have glasses under the spouts to catch the water. I also recommend running the water through the milk steamer as well to make sure you don't have any milk trapped up. This machine also has a eco mode which helps save energy, which is very innovative for a coffee maker. It's extremely easy to turn eco on and off. The small design takes up the same amount of space as a pod machine and is perfect for a novice or beginner. I've already run out and bought mocha and caramel syrup so I can try more drinks. Overall I'm so extremely happy with this machine. Every coffee lover needs this ! Also want to add I've saved over $50 from visiting coffee shops!!! This is my first time owning this type of machine and I was intimidated because I am not a barista but I drink coffee a lot. I read the user manual and watched online video tutorials before I attempted to make my own cappuccino. It was awesome because everything is so easy to operate with just a few presses of buttons. It is really freshly made at home and is always a great experience. The milk produced the perfect froth and the brewed coffee tastes crisp and fresh and has the perfect coffee aroma. The beans were grounded as it was brewed and it really tasted like professionally made cappuccino and I felt proud of myself. This machine is also very easy to clean and maintain. My recommendation for future customers to avoid using coffee beans that are oily.
