Piece of garbage. Base broke the first time I tried to use it. Everything about it is cheap especially for 50 bucks. Might as well buy the cheapo Walmart blender. It works better.

I love this blender , I have had little hand held ones that were portable but this big boy is awesome ,it's holds a great deal 6 cups to be exact. ,It's very cool and convenient at the park or anywhere you like to have a smoothie and you need electricity because you can charge this awesome blender up and take it in the go and have lots of fun doing so. The lid locks the best I ever seem and it's very easy to lock and unlock. It does have a battery pack underneath it. My smoothie came out so ever extra smooth and taste just as delish as it looked . I love it . [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

It's my first time to own this Farberware variable speed on-the-go cordless blender and it exceeded my expectations. The set has some weight but it's lighter than my old blender which retired years ago. I like it because it's rechargeable and compact which is very ideal for camping, retreat, picnic and staycation especially if you have children. Yes, because of my desire for my kids to eat fruits and vegetables all the time but sometimes they get so picky in eating those foods so I find this thing perfect for them. Great in preparing my family's smoothies! The pitcher has a capacity of 48 fl oz which is equivalent to 5-6 cups and you know it's just easy to prepare another round as long as the battery allows you and in fairness, the battery lasts long. You just have to charge the battery longer before use for the first time. I like that the base fits into the pitcher (pitcher turned upside down) and the base has great suction on the surface. I am so happy to own this rechargeable cordless blender. It's very easy to use and clean. Great design and concept. I highly recommend it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I was so excited to try a blender like this. I was slightly disappointed when I finally got to use it though you could only put so much ice in or it wouldnt blend were talking maybe a handful at a time if that. The battery did last a good while that was a advantage about it.i love that it is portable and that you dont have to worry about plugging it in when your outside. I love this blender. The stainless steel makes it look super sleek. I love how it doesn't take up a lot of space and is fairly quiet. It is really easy to use and great accessory to any kitchen. I love that it is cordless and you can take with to make smoothies, margaritas, anything. Lol. This blender is really great all around. I highly recommend. I thought "on the go" meant a personal size blender, but this is a full size blender. It has a cord to charge it and "on the go" means you can leave the cord behind and take the blender with you anywhere and use it. It charged really fast and was ready to use in no time. The base is nice, solid, and small, and it has 3 settings - low, high, and pulse. The pitcher is plastic, and the lid is plastic with a rubber seal. I like that the lid locks into place to make sure you have it on. The pitcher has to be put on in a specific way. Meaning, there are special rectangles that have to be in the right spaces before it will fit in and lock into place. I blended some apples making homemade apple cider and it worked well. Overall I'm excited about this blender and think it'll do the job. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Like others have already said: simple design, great motor and sturdy glass jar.....BUT the blade assembly deteriorates and makes the unit inoperable. Farberware has purposefully chosen not to sell a replacement assembly (even though they once did). Mine went in the trash today - I won't purchase another Farberware appliance.

Extraordinarily loud, and performance is unexceptional for the brief time it works, after which you can't replace the part that wears out (the blade/bearing assembly) or get any support from the corporate drones. My opinion is that buying from Farberware is like setting fire to money, and this blender is their way of saying consumers are just mud for us to slog through.

I have really bad luck with Blenders. I always end up leaving the container somewhere, or losing them while moving, or in one case I even suspect one was stolen (crappy belender anyway). So I have handled my fair share of Blenders. This Blender was awesome. Easily the best Blender I had. Absalutly magic. The motor worked great, it didn't leak, the blades did everything I tried to get it to do. I made Mint and coriander chutney in it as well as peanut and almond chutny. I also made my smooties in it. I was always able to get the consistency I wanted. However, this blender, too, is gone. My mother-in-law left a spoon in it while blending which broke the glass jar. So, be careful- try to avoid using it to blend flatware!

From the beginning the blender made a very loud noise. Eight months later it started leaking and the blades were very loose. Now 2 years later while taking the base off to clean the blades etc. the ball bearings fell out. I rarely used this blender and only for smoothies. Farberware will not sell the base assembly so I have to replace it. I will not buy a Farberware blender again.

I purchased this blender from a local store about a year ago. I use my blender daily. At first, it was great! Stylish, solid base, heavy glass jar. But like earlier reviews state, it has recently started to get so loud that my kids plug their ears and I have to leave the room to blend anything for more than a pulse. The base has started to unscrew on its own mid-blend, the burning metal smell is there, and as of yesterday a bunch of black junk scraped off and what appeared to be tiny metal balls were in the base when I took it off. Now the blade wont turn. I also noticed a high amount of liquid needs to be present to create the vortex. With as much noise as its making, this should be a heavy duty, solid product. Not so much. It was a nice year, but since I seem to not be the only one having these issues, I'll move onto something else for my daily blend.

I bought this blender about a year ago because it was on sale, and it worked well up until recently the liquid started leaking into the base. The problem is the seals that are on the blade assembly go bad, so I contacted Faberware for a replacement blade set and they very politely replied "can't help you". Are you kidding me? The motor in the base still works fantastic and it could be fixed with a $5 part that the manufacturer doesn't sell for some reason. I'm avoiding faberware from now on, I don't want to support a company that contributes needless electronic waste to landfills.

I bought it because it was heavy (a good indicate of a strong motor) and the pulse/low/high knob was simple. Well, the motor is good and the setting are simple. Unfortunately everything else is wrong. The space around the blade is to small and it just doesn't blend well. Occasionally I smelled a burning oil smell. It's tricky getting the lid on tight. You have to put the lid on just so, which is a crime for a round lid (that was a fun mess to clean up the first time I didn't get the lid on right). Then I started having a hard time screwing the base/blade on to the blender. And finally the seal stopped sealing and a nice banana smoothie leaked down into the motor and shorted it out.

The good: powerful motor, glass jar, good liquid drain on base, simple design, pulse. The two big bad: 1) The spinning base under the blades is made of a material that heats up and burns some off each time you use the blender. It will leave black gunk on the counter and also when you clean the jar assembly. It's probably toxic too. 2) The worst part is that the blade column is made with some flexibility and it slightly hits against the inside of the glass jar. With less than 6 months after purchase, this is slowly cutting a hole through my glass jar. Yes, leaving microscopic pieces of glass in the drink. The spinning abrasions at the base, and also with the blades against the glass are some reasons for the loud noise. The blade abrasion will also sometimes cause the glass to unscrew from the base assembly while it is in operation, and leave you with a big mess of your contents leaked or thrown everywhere. Don't buy it.

Don't buy this blender! The seal quickly wears at the bottom it starts leaking and eventually comes apart completely!

I purchased this blender because it seemed like a good deal, however I ended up returning it just two weeks later. It had a lot of perks, such as a thick glass jar, and it was easy to clean. But the major drawback was that the burning motor/plastic smell would not go away. The smell was not pleasant and worried me that I might have a small electrical fire due to the burning.

I purchased this product from some other local store but it did not perform as per the price. It looks good but the performance is nothing compared to its appearance. It makes a really really loud noise and I have to keep adding more water to make chutneys and salsa. Then it starts leaking at the base. Avoid at all cost.

there was no damage to the box what so ever... yet the blender is a baby rattle, loads of broken pieces inside the body of the blender.. total junk...

I got the faberward blender and at first use I thought it was OK. Very soon it got louder and started to take longer each use to make a smoothie- yogurt and a frozen banana pre-chopped into little pieces. By two months it can no longer blend a fresh banana, is horribly loud, and is leaking liquid out of the center bottom around the bearings. Faberware would not refund my money, buat will only give me a re-built blender of the same model.

I recently received this blender as a gift. I stuck the top glass portion and lid in the dishwasher before using it, and the small center of the lid melted up in the dishwasher. So my blender "broke" before I even got to use it. Otherwise, it was very affordable and seems stylish. Motor seems to work well, but who knows how long it'll hold up once I start to use it. I suppose you get what you pay for.

The Farberware stainless-steel 3 speed blender works well to make smoothies. Will crush ice, but tends to freeze up and and refuses to make the vortex unless you put in plenty of liquid. I'd buy it again (if I needed a second blender).
