I mainly got this fridge for its matte black finish which shows no finger prints! I opted for the 2nd ice maker in the freezer since the door ice maker looked small but it keeps up pretty well. This ice maker never seems to jam which was a nice change from my last fridge. The upper freezer shelf pulls out which is a nice touch. My one complaint is that the shelves in the fridge arent the most configurable for tall items but the door shelves make up for all the tall jugs I normally put on the shelf. I wanted a solid fridge that wouldnt break the bank and I think this fit the bill.

We had a side by side one and it is a brink of failing. It was original to the house so we thought of just buying a new one instead of repairing the old one. It took so many days of research and decided to get the GE one and ordered it online. Delivery went smoothly, they are very efficient. We got worried that it would not fit into our door but it did. We just got it today and hopefully this will last a long time.

It's only been 2 days.... but the water/ice dispenser drips a little bit intermittently. Not too thrilled about that. I installed a the second icemaker in the bottom. When taking off the back cover, one of the screws was installed wrong. They completely missed the hole and the screw was forced into the bracket, making another hole! I was thinking that this was a "Friday Fridge." When I finished installing the icemaker, the screws were put in correctly..... it took me 10 seconds to do it right. Also, lots of extra tape, insulation, and plastic sticking out from seems and brackets. Putting in the second icemaker was easy as well as adjusting the level of the doors to match them up. It's much quieter than our old one.

Have no idea how this refrigerator gets 5 stars. We got a lemon! Ice machine doesn't work well, filters easily crack causing leaks in the refrigerator, and ice builds up on the exterior of the freezer and could damage your floor if you don't clear off the ice on the outside.

We purchased this fridge 8 months ago and are very happy with it. The water filter is easy to change. No leaky mess! There is enough crisper drawer space. The clear shelving on the left door could be wider. It does fit water bottles nicely, but ketchup needs to be angled since it's not very wide( see photo). The water dispenser is nice and quicker than our previous one to refill water bottles quickly, but it does drip. We put a small piece of paper towel down to catch the drips.

The refrigerator/freezer fills our every need. We replaced our 33year-old GE appliance (loved it) with exceptional features but realized it was not energy efficient. It was time, but we hated to see it go. It didn't go far — it is now in the basement.

We have had this Refrigerator since Jan 2017. Noisy from day one! I spent lots of time researching different manufacturers not only for fridge but dishwasher, oven and microwave. I decided upon this fridge based off reviews I read and consumer reports. I had a tech look at fridge twice, once to determine why it was noisy and ice was accumulating around the ice maker seal and on front drawer in freezer. The tech made me feel as if I was crazy and the noise was natural. He said women are more sensitive to noise. I proceeded to tell him that I had not mentioned this to my husband because of the amount of time I spent researching however upon watching TV he asks, what is that noise, is that the new fridge? I explained to the tech that the meat drawer kept coming off the track and he made it seem like it was normal. I had to reproduce this to show him this is not normal for me to keep placing the tray back into place. He did some adjusting and said it was fine, worked for a few days but still comes off track to date. Tech determines that the icemaker door is warped and needs to replace, this is why ice is accumulating around door. Tech returns for second service to replace icemaker door and the machine is even louder but all he does it replace the door. The ice is accumulating around the icemaker door again to the point that it's hard to open. Everyone that visits notices the noise level of the fridge so apparently it's not normal. Luckily the extended warranty was purchased.

We bought this fridge as we needed something to accommodate our large family of 9. The fridge is great in this regard as there is a lot of room. My BIGGEST gripe with this fridge is that the tray under the water/ice dispenser does not have a grate in which to catch extra water.... SERIOUSLY? So now anytime I open the fridge door I receive a refreshing splash of water onto my legs and floor.... FUN! The other annoyance is the fact that you cannot "comfortably" fit a gallon of milk on the main shelves of the fridge when the bottom shelf is set to the lowest and the top shelf is set to the highest. The milk jug "does" fit, but only if you tilt it. Perhaps GE assumed that people would only put one or two jugs on the doors as they fit there, but we typically have 3 or 4 milk jugs in our fridge. Finally as others have pointed out, the protective plastic that comes on the fridge is a royal pain in the backside to remove... in fact there are still remnants that constantly remind me of this when I am not getting splashed from the water on the door. Come on GE you can do better than this!
