So nice to benefit from the evolution of GE design. Think microwave technology is stagnant.... think again. GE innovations keep appliances on the cutting edge and the consumer benefits..... along with attractive design

It looks great. We had it installed in our coffee bar area with a trim kit. It looks huge but so very smooth & clean looking. Even the contractor was impressed!

So far it functions well . I called about an owners manual 3 weeks ago . My last microwave was 30 years old and still functioned great but it was only 700 watts . I am not sure how to adjust my use to this new higher wattage . I think I will rate it much higher once I can use all the functions

Not really happy with the fit and finish of this GE. It's supposed to be the current equivalent of the GE it's replacing. The door sags about an 1/8" +- to sit flush when closed. The door open bar isn't quite as resposive and clean as the previous model was, current model hangs up a bit and works best if pressed with at least 2 fingers.

We recently purchased a new home on October 17, 2019. The Profile microwave at first sight seemed very nice and had plenty of room inside. Unfortunately, that is all I can say that is positive about this product. From day 1 on moving in this product performs well, but actually must be a lemon in regard to the button access to allow for food to be placed both in or out. Every time we wanted to use the microwave we needed to push the entry/exit button 4-6 ax's before the door would open. After only 3 weeks I pushed the entry/exit button only 1 time & to my surprise out shoots the button along with 2 springs. Now we were in a Heap of trouble. This happen at only 3 weeks of use. I didn't turn it in as a warranty request only b/c I thought it would loosen up or start functioning as it should. Obviously this will be turned in as a warranty request to our builder. If possible we will pay extra to get an upgrade microwave other than a Profile microwave.

Love having this built in...and the slate color is fantastic with our white cabinets! We haven't tried all the features yet but will get to that eventually! My only wish is that the screens for the microwave and built in convection oven were the same color since they are right above one another!

The first microwave I bought from GE was a profile. In one year I had to have it replaced. The replacement lasted three years and then stopped working. There was no replacement that matched the style of the profile I bought. The trim kit for the new profile was difficult to install. I'm just not satisfied.

After our 2014 model became defective, we were told that this new 2018 model was its replacement. Usually one would expect improvements. But dont see any. The venting isn't as good. There is nothing stainless steel about this unit except the exterior trim kit (which is smaller than the 2014 model). Would have been nice if our 2014 trim kit would have worked with the new model, but it doesn't. You must order the new trim kit which is the only thing that is SS. The interior of the unit was changed from white to charcoal gray. Not what I would call an improvement. Just need to get used to it.
