Very Loud not sure if this is how loud it should be and it seems to be coming from the ice maker. Also interior freezer is small it is deceiving but wants your start putting items in you can barely fit anything

We replaced our 2005 GE Arctica counterdepth refrigerator with this one. It fit in our space perfectly as it has the same dimensions. Almost all of the interior spaces were the same so we didn't have to change how we use the refrigerator. The ice maker is quiet. The LED lighting is luxurious.

I have had this refrigerator for no more than 8 months. It came with the house when we moved into our new community. The inside if the refrigerator does not have adequate space. It is not large enough for a small family. It is better suited to hold stuff for one person, maybe two at the most. Not only is the inside of the refrigerator extremely small, the refrigerator stopped cooling within 4 months of moving in. We were told the compressor was busted so we had it replaced. Now it has happened again. Other members of our community with the same refrigerator have expressed the same issue.

This was a desperate replacement for my 15 yr old GE Profile. Essentially it's the same except for being SS. There are some changes in the interior design which allows for more storage. Lights are now LED and are recessed along the perimeter sides of the refrigerator. I find this a bonus. More interior space in vegetable and fruit bins. When you pull out the bins, there is sufficient light to see inside each bin. Overall it seems quieter, but that maybe because the old frig was breaking down. The ice crusher is a lot more quiet. My old one would make significant noise crushing and dispensing ice. Overall I am pleased with my replacement.

We appreciate the practical and aesthetic improvements/enhancements vs. our previous unit. Examples: interior lighting, storage organization, ease of reconfiguring drawers and compartments,

Refrigerator fits perfectly and looks like it has always been part of the appliances that are in the kitchen. I would like to have had additional storage bins on the door.

Looks great and needed counter depth for aesthetic reasons. Ok for 2 people but it is small! Have difficulty when shopping for holidays so good thing to have a back up. Water dispenser in door leaks and there is water in the tray all of time. Have also had trouble with the freezer staying cool.

I have has this unit for 3 months. It is exactly as advertised. The size of the freezer and frig as well as the size of the water/ice dispenser are exactly as specified. If someone complains about this they are foolish because the exact sizes are published and you can view it i the store before you make your purchase. The temperature control works very well. I live in a high humidity zone and my temperature has significant fluctuations. Despite this, the temperature of the freezer and frig compartments is well regulated. Despite my humid climate the frost control works very well in both sections. The ice maker works exactly as advertised. Yes when you use one or the other ice types there may be some residual in the dispenser that may be dispensed upon your next use, regardless of what is selected - exactly as the manual explains. (If this is a surprise or upsets you, it is your fault for not reading the manual online before you purchased it. In 2019 this is a normal and expected pre-purchase activity, and is your due diligence). The sounds this unit makes are exactly as stipulated in the owner's manual but I would enjoy the unit more if they were quieter. There is no way to preview this before purchase unless you know someone who has this model. The stainless finish is easily marked. I do wish it was smudge resistant and a little more rust resistant (remember I live in a very high humidity area) but again, I knew this before i purchased the unit because I viewed the unit in a store. ***Notes for future models. The water being dispensed should be dispensed at a more vertical angle. As it is, the water can splash outside the dispensing area and onto the floor if the glass being filled is not tall and the glass is not held to the top of the dispenser. I often need to wipe the exterior of the freezer door after dispensing water. I wish the well of the dispenser would be deeper or had a method of disposal such as porting some of this waste water into the area where the moisture from inside the frig is evaporated into the atmosphere. I would like to see a little more flexibility regarding shelving arrangements in both sides, but this is simply me nitpicking.

At first I was concerned it would not be large enough because it is counter depth. But, after have it for a few months it is just perfect! I love the brightness inside and the side by side freeze. Just perfect for my family size and new Kitchen.

I have had this same model refrigerator for 15 years, and it was great. I like the GE brand, has always been dependable for me. We just received this one and I am totally impressed with how VERY quiet it is.
