This GF Grill was a gift to replace a much older GF Grill that I loved for many years, but the nonstick surface had begun to peel off in places. With this new grill, I have really enjoyed the ability to remove the plates, a feature my previous model didn't have. The dishwasher never seemed to do a very good job of getting them clean, and most clean up is by hand with a net covered sponge and dish soap. The plates gradually began to loose their non-stick qualities, and recently, I realized that it has become extremely difficult and frustrating to remove the food that gets stuck to the plates. I would appreciate some support on a solution for this issue. I used the old grill for several years without this issue. I think I have only had this grill for around a year. I also miss the scraper tool that came with the previous grill. It allowed me to clean off stuck on things. I attempted to use the scraper from the old grill however the tool began to melt when I used it on the new grill. I also noticed the drip tray with the new grill is less solid compared to the tray from the older grill, and it is affected by hot grease that drips into it. It has also warped from the heat of the grill. Overall, I love the concept of the GF Grills. They make short work of cooking a meal for one or two people. I'm a bit disappointed in the non-stick surface of this newer grill.

I bought this almost a year ago and it really works great, except the plates seem to have lost their non stick ability. Very hard to clean now, they even look like they are burned when they are clean.

This is probably the fourth or fifth George Foreman grill I've purchased over the years, and I've always been happy with them. However, this one had a strange odor and smoke emanating from the bottom of the grill when it was warming up for its first use. Needless to say, I did not cook with it. I was further disappointed when I called customer service and could not reach anyone. A thoroughly disappointing experience.

After unpacking I remove the plates to wash before first use. After inserting the plate and closing the grill, the design flaw shows. The release tabs from the top plate hit the release tabs on the bottom plate that makes the bottom plate release. Bad design flaw. If the tabs were not on top of each other when closed , the tabs would not have hit each other and pop the plates out. I will be returning back to target. If or when they fix the design flaw, I would be willing to try it again. This is not my first George Foreman grill, My last one lasted for a long time before the heating elements died.

Works… OK I guess… But… why isn't it possible to purchase an extra set of plates? This seems absolutely silly to me. If they are dishwasher safe why can't you put one set of plates in the dishwasher and continue to use the grill? The plates aren't that easy to clean by hand. The ability to purchase an extra set of plates would make this much much better

New online purchase, from Target, January 1, 2016. The top plate won't stay secure with the clips. The plate appears warped and keeps popping out when opening and closing the unit. Also, the grill takes an extended period of time to heat up. The grill needs returned or the top plate needs replaced.

I received this as a Christmas gift. It seems to take an age to heat up. I'm not sure if it ever reaches fully ready temperature, since the green light does not gone on, even after some 20 minutes. There's a partial yellow light next to the red one. The drip tray should be able to be clipped on. It moves too easily and then fat pours on to the counter top.

From day one the grill I bought took forever to heat up and it never got sizzling hot ... took forever to cook a steak and steaks would never get a darker brown than the surface of a liver that's been sitting on the counter for a few days. What a pile of junk. I wrote to these people about it and they never got back to me either.

I am very pleased with the current generation of George Foreman grill. As before, it cooks great, but the removable plates make it FAR easier to clean.

This is so much easier to clean than my old one. We use it everyday. I wish it had a temperature adjustment on it. I didn't realize it didn't until I started using it. I still like it.
