This is a simple, no frills, 2-slice toaster. It's easy to operate, allows me to set the desired level of toast, and takes about a minute to a minute and a half to get the job done. It won't work miracles, but for the price, I'm very pleased. The slots are large enough to fit even NY-style bagels, and I've become very fond of the cord holder on the back, which allows me to neatly coil up the cord before storing it. I've had this toaster for almost two months and at this point I highly recommend it and am looking forward to many years of toast and toasted bagels!

I am so pleased with this Hamilton Beach 2 Slice Toaster. Over the past 20 years I have had a variety of toasters and I have had problems with the latch when you push down the lever to start toasting the bread, those other toasters would hang up and burn the bread or not latch at all. This new Hamilton Beach 2 Slice Toaster works perfectly every time.

This toaster works fine to toast bagels or bread. But it takes the highest setting to get a "normal" light brown toast and one person in the house goes through 2 cycles to get the dark toast they want. It is very light, almost like tinfoil; it moves around so easily with the lightest touch--something that I never thought was important in a toaster until I had to hold the toaster down in order to press the lever. So, works as intended but could be too annoying for some.

This toaster is beautiful and has the looks I like in a toaster....it worked real well for about a week ..... then the toast was to light, so I turned it up 1 number....then the top of the bread was almost burnt and the bottom was to light. I turned it on and looked down inside and most of the elements were not lit.
taking it back, not sure if I will go for the same kind!! Since I like the looks I might give it another try!!

We bought a sweeper, and needed to add something cheap to get free shipping. Hadn't had a toaster in about 30 years.
We have a good toaster oven, but it takes about 10 minutes to make toast. Also it has a timer rather than a set spot for toasting level. So you have to continually watch it, because setting the timer isn't as accurate.
This is what it is. It doesn't have a bell to alert you, and it doesn't pop up with force, but it works and toasts well. The dark setting can be set once and forgotten about, and it uses far less electric than our larger toaster oven. It's very light. DK about the quality, but it looks good and works. For the price you really can't go wrong.

I was surprised by this toaster given the low price. The handiest feature is the release bar below the push down lever. This allows you to check your toast or bagels just in case you're wondering how they're toasting. Like the cool touch exterior.

I shopped on line, and this Hamilton Beach 2-slice toaster seemed the best buy in its price range. After a few week's use it has held up well, and seems to function adequately. It replaced a considerably more expensive toaster . . . which had broken.

We were very excited to have a new toaster. Our old one has been out of working order for a long time now. We unpacked it read the instructions and plugged it in, put two slices of bread into the toaster. One side toasted, but, the other didn't. The middle toasting unit did not work. We tried again, same thing happened. We returned it to a Walmart Store nearby and replaced it with another just like it. Got it home, plugged it in, put the bread in it and the same thing happened. One side toasted the other didn't. This time, however, the center part of the toaster worked and the outside did not. I would have loved it if it would have worked properly.
