The blender works great but I havent usedthe food processor attachment yet. It's a good deal for the price and crushed ice beautifully. It's easy to clean and the cover stays on tight, so it's easy to use the pouring spout. It also has a small window in the top for adding fruit or flavoring.

You might need to stand by and hold lid while operating, but one thing for sure this thing crushes ice very well. I really do not know how to use it as of yet in the right way, but I made cocktails all night, have made baby food on it, crushed ice the little part I used to crush meat, did not like it came out puree, other than that this is a great powerful thing, I Am satisfied with investment.

I successfully used the blender attachment to make almond milk. The blade action successfully ground the almond and water mixture to produce the almond milk. However the food chopper attachment did not work as well to smoothly process very soft chickpeas to make hummus. In addition I couldn't get the base off the chopper for cleaning. I had to return and Walmart efficiently Expedited the return.

This is a replacement blender for an old one. On the plus side, it has a heavy glass jar (not thin plastic!), and definitely seems to have enough power. It also has a "wave" design feature, which is a raised portion of the jar's interior, that gravity-feeds the contents down into the blades, which reduces, if not eliminates, stopping the blender to scrape down the sides. The one negative is, the lid is constructed from smooth plastic and is press-fit into the jar -- not screwed or snapped in. Because it's so slick, it tends to work its way out of the jar as the blender is running. Putting a small weight, such as a can of soup, on top of the lid helps to keep it in place, but if you need to add ingredients through the lid, this method is rather inconvenient. One other cosmetic issue: The "stainless steel" on the sides of the blender are plastic plates. I haven't yet needed to use the extra food processor jar, but with only a 3-cup capacity, I'll probably end up just chopping the ingredients by hand. However, because of the well-made glass jar and the amount of power, I would still recommend this blender.

I bought this combo for making my morning nut and berry smoothies. I chop the nuts and seeds in the chopper the night before, then soak overnight so they are soft in the morning. The blender does a great job of preparing the smoothie with frozen berries and the softened nut pieces. I do chop Brazil nuts by hand first before putting the pieces in the chopper, and I do not put whole almonds in the chopper either. I am leery of wearing out the motor like I did with my previous blender, a Black & Decker Cyclone. Walnuts chop fine in this chopper, however. My husband has started using the blender now to make his own fruit and yogurt smoothies and loves it, too. The only issue I have is the amount of noise on high speed; low speed is fine.

I haven't tried the food processor yet but it looks the same as my Cuisinart small processor so I'm sure it will do great. I love that I can interchange them and plan on doing so soon!
The blender... it's glass which is a bonus, and fits very nicely into the base. The lid snaps on to prevent spills and the spout is nice... my old one didn't have one and I was pleasantly surprised by how easily it worked.
We primarily use it for smoothies. Here is why I only gave it 4 stars: it requires approx 8oz of liquid to blend well. When given this amount of water/juice/milk/whatever it's fabulous! I wish I would have known this though bc we don't like to add much water in our smoothies, but now we have to. It's fast and super easy to clean. Very satisfied given the low price. We use it every day.

I cannot really rate durability yet. I bought it to make smoothies, new diet craze, and it works great. To clean you just put in some detergent and run it. I have not used the chopper yet but all pieces are sturdy and made well. Not flimsy at all. I love the shorter shape of the container, it seems to work better than the old blenders. I highly recommend.

Recently medical diagnosis makes eating fruits and veggies a must. The blender is great, doesn't completely chop up ice, but I suspect if I can use smaller ice cubes it would be perfect. The Food Chopper is somewhat of a disappointment, again, perhaps with some "experiments" it will be better results. Overall, I am pleased, the product is sturdy, and a true value for the money.
