Being accustomed to an old toaster with no features this toaster is terrific. two features I especially like are the cancel button and the extra lift to remove toasted items . the extra lift feature saves a lot of burned fingers and avoids children from sticking a knife or fork in to retrieve toasted items. I got this toaster last month and I am so happy with it! The slots are big enough for bagels, and there are setting delicate enough for brioche. I really appreciate the user friendliness of this product. The grips of the middle lever and knob are made of rubber and provide a nice feel on the fingers. The buttons are well placed on the front face. The toaster has good enough room to toast your items from top to bottom and toast evenly on both sides. Great product! I like this toaster for its looks, very sleek and modern. The buttons/knob/lever all feel like they are sturdy/good quality. It is wonderful for frozen waffles and pastry because of the defrost option. The bagel setting is fantastic! It toasts the cut side and warms the outside. It works well; you just have to keep the turn dial setting low and experiment with the levels because it's a bit aggressive. The buttons are: defrost, cancel, and bagel. I also love how after the toast pops up you can lift the lever just a bit more to help you get shorter items out of the unit without burning your fingers. I got this toaster to replace the one that broke in our office kitchen. It gets a lot of use, and works perfectly every time. It toasts both sides evenly, no burn marks on larger items like bagels, and the dial to adjust the darkness of the toast is very consistent. Also, the defrost feature works great for frozen waffles! This toaster has all the features I would ever need. The slots open wider for bagels. There is a know to select how dark I want to toast something. There is even a button to cancel the toasting. There is also a defrost button, which I never use, but I did try it out and although I had to press it several times to defrost the muffin, it does work. I don't have the time or patience for that normally. There is a crumb tray on the opposite end which can be pulled out for easy clean up. It took a bit longer to toast my muffin when I turned it to the darker setting than my previous one did, but that is just a matter of adjusting my routine in the morning. However, the one negative is that my fingerprints left ugly splotches on the sides of the toaster when I moved it closer to the plug. I used a polishing cloth to get back the shine. I have had this toaster for about 3 weeks. It does great with bread, but I love the "bagel" feature on this toaster. It will toast just the one side of a bagel or English muffin.
