This was given as a gift and the person that it was given to says this about it... It works great so much better than those little tiny ones that run off of Thermoelectric Systems. This one has an actual compressor which runs very quietly and keeps stuff much cooler, keeps frozen stuff frozen and comes with a tiny ice tray yes it will make ice in the little freezer compartment. Has a adjusting knob to increase or decrease the temp, they kept theirs set at 3-4 and it kept stuff cold it's 2020 now and it's still running so I hope it'll continue for years to come. I add this - they had gone through 2 thermoelectric mini fridge's that malfunctioned-stopped cooling- within say a little over a year, so I decided to go with a compressor unit so glad I did as it works much better and seems as though it'll last a long time, price for price it's already out lasted both thermoelectric ones. The thermoelectric ones costed around $30-$40 each, this costed $78 should have bought this first and saved $70-$80. I'd recommend it.

My mini fridge was delivered damaged and soaking wet from rain. After letting it throughly dry a few days before use I noticed where it was also damaged in a couple places. Because the box was in pieces from the rain and since it didn't hurt the operation of the actual refrigerator I decided to keep it with the flaws. Over I am happy with the product but if I had to do it over I would have chosen pick up in store to prevent the issues.

It's compact, fairly quiet, and holds a surprising amount of food and drinks. It's perfect for an office or bedroom that's really far away from the kitchen!

I've owned this product only for a little more than 2 weeks so far, but it is performing very well. I ordered this refrigerator for my office, so I am glad it comes in black and in a size this small. I am surprised how well it chills my sodas and my bottle of water, and how quickly it can freeze water into ice cubes in the mini tray of the freezer compartment. I trust Igloo as a brand and hope that this refrigerator will continue to function this well. Kudos to Wal-Mart for actually delivering the product 4 days earlier than forecasted.

I originally ordered the hiar 1.7. Due to a Walmart issue the fridge was not shipped and ended up on back order. Walmart gave me this one at the same price ( $20 off) and it arrived an a few days. The color is great, everyone at work wanted to get one. It's not noisy and keeps stuff really cold. The freezer is useless and I wish I could move the selves but that's not a big deal.

I got the orange one for my room and it looks and works fantastic. My only complaints are the legs on the bottom front can be turned to lift it off the surface a little and require a pair of channel locks or a similar tool to turn them. They are really locked in tight on mine. The only other issue is the temperature control. It's located on the back of the unit in a difficult to get to location and is very poorly marked making it hard to tell if you're turning it up or down. Having it inside the unit would make turning it up or down much easier. Other than that it's really nice.

Ordered this refrigerator from WM and had it delivered to my home. The item arrived in a box that was all beaten up. The refrigerator was damaged on the back corner. Plugged it in to see how it sounded and it was quite noisy. Returned to WM for a refund. Decided to try the Black and Decker 1.7 cu ft site to store. I could tell right away that this one was going to be a much better refrigerator. It was nicely packed in an intact box. Took it home and plugged it in. Happy to say that I am extremely pleased with the Black and Decker. The unit is so quiet and began to cool immediately. Have had it for almost 2 weeks now and so far no problems. If you are having trouble deciding which refrigerator to purchase (like I did) then I would definitely recommend the Black and Decker over the Igloo.

I recieved it 8/17/13. Plugged it into a 200 watt power inverter, works correctly. I have thermostat set to 5 1/2. At first I set it to maximum cold, Everything in there froze solid. I then backed it off. I have it set to 32 degrees. I got it because the 12 volt Thermoelectric coolers barely cool and draw about 65 watts 24/7. This refergerator draws about 190 watts intermittantly. Hotter the interior the more often and longer it runs. Can not tell if total power uesage is more or less, but it has not drained the batterys too low in 15 hours between driving times which charges batterys. In a car or Pickup camper, I would recommend getting a large deep cycle battery so as not to drain a single battery down too far to start motor. A mechanic could explain and do an extra battery installation. If using it in a house, Just plug it in and go. Get a cheap Thermometer, set thermostadt to 32-33 degrees, or whereever you want it. Note: shaking in Truck while driving will prrobibly reduce its servace life, but for the price, if it lasts 1 year or more replace it with another one. (still good bang for a buck) CHRIS

Since being diagnosed with cancer, I have slowly been redoing my bedroom. That's where I spend a great deal of my time now. I have chosen Red and Black as my main colors with Mint Green walls. This refrigerator is perfect in my bedroom to keep cold drinks and fruit within my reach. I was very excited to find it in red and the price was excellent! It's convenient, totally perfect for my situation and is a wonderful conversation piece.

This refrigerator was a great buy. It is very quiet and keep everything cool. Everyone comments on how they like the color. I am very happy with my purchase, and as always with Walmart, it was delivered early ( arrived in 2 days) just in time before school started.
