A step by step guide to installing an Over the Range Microwave. This video walks you through the step by step process of removing and installing an over the range microwave. A few notes: One mistake I made was to not but in blockers between the microwave and the top cabinet. There was one installed in the middle but I should have put two where the screws were located. The microwave is GE JVM6175SK2SS. Also, safety first. Perfect replacement for my 16 year old microwave. Has all the features I needed and more. Worked with GE customer service rep for a recommendation for size and style and they were very helpful in steering me to the right appliance.

I purchased this microwave in a bundle with a refrigerator, range and dishwasher. I love the color. Goes great with my new kitchen cabinets. This microwave has a lot of nice features and it works great.

The biggest thing that caused me to rate this as only 3 stars is the little rectangular piece in the inside on right hand side. It wasn't covered in the manual nor does it show up in any product pictures. Not sure how to clean it if it ever needs it or replace because I don't know if it's a filter or what exactly it is and what purpose it serves.

Have only had the microwave for a few days but love it so far. I had it installed professionally and it was fast. The fit is perfect. The only change I would make would be the halogen light. Way to hot for me!

I bought this microwave about 7 weeks ago to replace another GE microwave that lasted for 9 trouble-free years before it suddenly died. This microwave is very similar to the one I previously owned, except that it's a little larger in the interior and seems to be a little bit more powerful. It's also very nice looking and matches my other stainless steel appliances.

It's only been a couple of weeks but the features are just what I wanted. The microwave compliments my other stainless steele appliances and easy to operate. Like the dark inside which looks better and clean up is a breeze. Not sure if it warms as fast, rotating plate does not sit as sturdy as the older GE model and inside door shield seems less durable but not deal breakers. This model was not in the store so I couldn't see it; nevertheless, still a satisfied "GE" consumer.

This purchase was well overdue, this GE was a perfect fit for my needs. Easy to use, not complicated with the necessary features. I like the "steam clean" feature most! Only thing I have an issue with, if you put an item in to cook & don't start the microwave right away...it will signal you to "insert food", so I have to open the door again & close it to start cooking.
