I bought this a few weeks ago to give as a Christmas gift. It recently arrived and I am very disappointed and irritated. The box is partially crushed and shows signs of water damage. I cannot give something in such poor condition as a gift.

I use the immersion blender to blend soups and smoothies. This product works very well to puree the veggies/fruits, even frozen ones. I don't have a dishwasher so having products that are easy to clean is important to me; and the blender stick is easy to clean. I wouldn't say this product is quiet though.
The accompanying measuring cup is useful as the blender fits inside it making it a perfect kitchen utensil to use.
