Although I have a 6 quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer, I have used a hand-held mixer for little jobs...but I find that my hand tires when using it. While watching America’s Test Kitchen (on TV) the 3.5 quart Stand KitchenAid mixer was reviewed and given TOP ratings! That was the answer to my problem! Amazon’s Market Place Seller had the new 3.5 quart Stand KitchenAid mixer in Aqua Sky Blue a lovely color! Thanks to their excellent and fast service, I have It now for the little mixing jobs. I purchased an “accessory” ...extra mixing bowl WITH A HANDLE which I prefer. It is a gem...and delight to use.

to mix bread. We don't eat sweets around here but love bread. Unfortunately, Kitchenaid's mini model doesn't mix bread any better than the commercial model I gave back to my mom. I thought the reason that the big one didn't do a great job was that it was too big. Wrong!!! There is a fatal flaw in the design of this machine. I know it's not me or my recipe as I used to own a Bosch. I pulled out my cheapo hand mixer. Using it with dough hooks created a totally superior loaf of bread. While the ice blue artisan mini looks beautiful on my counter, it is a very expensive knick-knack that will find its way to the thrift store once they open back up after all this quarantine mess is over. I forgot for a second that I'm a minimalist. Never again.

Love the lightweight design and shorter stature; this will be perfect for small batches of everything. This machine will be in addition to my large model KitchenAid. The Bird of Paradise color is just like being smack-dab in the middle of Miami Beach! Get your hands on this color while you can!

Can I just say how ADORABLE this mixer is. MUCH smaller than the original ( I can hold it with one hand) it’s perfect for everyday use and fits perfect on the table. As a regular home baker, I can’t believe I want so long without it

I’m sad. I bought the mini for my boat to make bread 10 weeks ago. Mixed and used dough hook 5 times. Electric motor smelled funny right from the start. On this last mix (traditional French bread recipe) it slowed and stopped. I had to put it outside because the smoke smelt so bad. Even from the start the tolerances in the articulation were sloppy. Seriously disappointed in the backsliding of quality. I gifted my mother a full size version 30 years ago and it’s the bomb! Don’t waste your time on this mini if you plan on kneading dough with it. Of course the return window is closed and the box is long gone. Returning it from remote Alaska will probably be cost prohibitive... Addendum: I spoke with KitchenAid. They are replacing mixer and sending an invoice to return this one in the coming box.

I love this mixer, it fits perfect on my small kitchen. I've been wanting this mixer for a long time, since I watch Food recipes on TV shows. It's very versatile, I have made pizza dough, cookies, cakes, and pasta from Scratch! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I've been wanting a KitchenAid stand mixer for years but had no place to store it and thought it was too heavy for me to move around. Then, I found this "Mini" 3.5 qt. that's just the right size! I keep it on the counter (covered) and it still leaves me room to work! Love this mixer!

I'm glad I purchased my mixer! If you like to bake, it truly is a great investment. I am able to whip up various types of dough quickly, and clean up is truly a breeze. I am a household of one and live in a small apartment, so the mini is perfect! I would recommend this mixer to anyone that likes to bake, and can afford the investment.

I purchased the Kitchen Aid Mini on Dec 31, 2019, paying $189.00, and it arrived on Jan 4, 2020. I was on the fence about buying a KitchenAid blender for a while, but finally decided to pull the trigger. Since I live in a small apartment with very limited kitchen space, I opted to go with the mini. In my opinion that was a good decision. When the package arrived from Amazon, I opened the box to find another smaller box inside. I opened that box to found it contained the commercial box for the blender. Everything was well packaged with not a trace of damage or prior use. I was surprised that there was no recipe book included, just a quick start guide. I had watched so many Youtube videos of this blender I had no use for the guide. My first project was to test it's bread dough making ability. It handled that task without breaking a sweat. The dough hook attachment worked just fine. I have to admit the speed setting lever does not move as smoothly as I would like it to. It takes quiet a bit of pushing to get the lever to move. I then decided to make some chocolate chip cookies. Again, it performed flawlessly, even though the cookie dough was even thicker then the bread dough. Next I decided to see how well it would handle a meatloaf. I just broke up 2 pounds of ground beef along with all the other ingredients and attached the paddle attachment, which I had also used for the cookie dough. Again it performed without missing a beat. My last little road test was making mashed potatoes. I peeled and cut up some Yukon Gold potatoes into small pieces and boiled them till they were tender. Then using the paddle attachment I put them in the bowl and mixed them up for a minute or so the break them up. Then I switched to the whisk attachment after adding a little heavy cream and a couple tablespoons of melted butter. I whisked them at a setting of about 4 until they were nice and smooth. Came out delicious. I've made mashed potatoes like this a few times since. The KitchenAid blender fits fine on my small counter space when I need it and in a cabinet when not in use. I'm sure if I would have brought the full sized KitchenAid it would have proven to be a mistake. It only weighs about 15 pounds, so it's pretty easy to lift and move around. When I cook, it's only for my wife and I, so the 3.5 quart bowl is plenty big enough for our needs. So far I'm completly satisfied with my purchase.

I have been saying to myself for the past 2 months “in the new year, I'm going to buy myself a kitchen aid stand mixer!” There was signs everywhere telling me to get this mixer! Great deals and on display at every store I went to!!! So on Christmas morning when I went to my parents, there was a big box that said from “all of us” when I opened it and seen that beautiful stand mixer I cried! I LOVE to bake, my dream is to be a pastry chef and own my own bakery! My moms words to me were “ now you can work on starting you're own business!” So I'm so excited to start making all these amazing desserts and bake goods!!! I've used a KitchenAid stand mixer for almost 30 years. This mini powerhouse is perfect for how I cook and bake now that it's just the two of us. I can make one ball of bread or pizza dough...an impossible task with my previous larger model. I was concerned the motor wouldn't be powerful enough for my attachments, but this little gal powered my meat grinder as well as the larger model! And it's the perfect size for apartment living. I've been waiting a long time for a small KitchenAid mixer, and when the price came down I jumped on one. I love the size, and the ease of use. But I have to say that I don't like the design. None of the attachments work well with the shape of the bowl. I have to stop and scrape the bowl every few second it seems or things won't get fully mixed, unless it's a very liquid batter. Cream sugar and butter? Forget about it; it's all over the sides of the bowl and the beater isn't touching anything until I stop and scrape. And then 10 second later scrape again. The dough hook has a similar problem. The bowl needs to have a new shape to work better with the attachments.

I've been putting off getting a stand mixer for years because of the large size. This mixer is the perfect size! It works great, cleans up easily and doesn't take much space whether you keep it out or store it. It handles all my mixing projects with ease, including mixing up my whipped body creams and butters. I love the yellow color because it's actually more like a soft banana yellow - very pretty. Would definitely recommend this mixer.

This Artisan Mini Series Tilt-Head Stand Mixer is perfect for my family. It's large enough to make a full batch of cookies, a two-layer cake, and dough for bread. It's easy to use and is small enough to stay out on the counter. I love the color too. I bought a Flex Edge Beater to go with my mixer and it works great; scraps the sides so you don't have to stop the mixer as often. This smaller mixer is a great size and worth the money.

I have been wanting one of these for a long time. So glad KitchenAid came out with a smaller sized mixer that is lighter in weight since I have no room on my kitchen counter for the large version. This one certainly is as good as its big brother and has no drawbacks that I am aware of. Love the red color, too! One of my best purchases.

after moving and downsizing, my new home has a very small kitchen with little counter space. This size is great for small kitchens, and although not as powerful as my larger one (given away when I moved - still working great after years of service) it still does the basics of what I like to use my stand mixer for

I love the mini kitchen aid mixer. There are only two of us, so I didn’t really need the bigger capacity. I have some health problems that keep my muscles weak, so having a lighter mixer is a plus. It’s still hefty, but it kind of has to be to keep the quality and longevity that kitchenaid is known for. The only downsides to getting the mini over a bigger mixer are that you have to get different blades, like if you wanted to pick up a spare one or the silicone scraper. They’re a bit harder to find, but of course, if you’re on amazon, they have it here. The other downside is that you can’t use the ice cream maker attachment, because the bowl won’t fit. Every other attachment works with it, as far as I’ve seen, so you can still have it as a powerhouse in the kitchen, just with a smaller footprint. To summarize, this mixer is smaller, but that’s not a bad thing! It won’t make ice cream, but it’ll still do everything else.

I bought this mixer for my wife, she loves the color & has several Kitchen Aid appliances that match in color. The mixer works wonderfully however I wouldn't recommend the 3.5 quart mini, unless you have limited space for appliances. I find it difficult to prepare family size recipes in the 3.5 quart, but again if your household is small you can get by with this model.

This kitchenaid is the perfect size for anyone who wants to bake in their own home but not make huge amounts of cookies like the larger kitchenaid are capable of. I have wanted one of these for YEARS! Finally got one and couldn’t be more thrilled. I feel like my baking is now validated. I used it a lot over the holidays. Couple learnings, this is a smaller size and right now has less attachments available to purchase. Also, don’t leave parts soaking in water for a week, one of the mixing attachments started looking semi corroded (was able to clean it off). Overall I love it!

Sold my full size Kitchenaid mixer when I moved cross country six years ago. Apartment living is not conducive to many kitchen gadgets. I ordered this mini mainly because of the color! Works for all!

Extremely useful for the home baker. You can mix a lb of flour and make giant loaves with this mixer - attachments are great for cake batters and whisked mixtures. Chances are, you don't need one of the bigger machines unless you're baking for more than six people. Perfect gift for a couple, or a couple pairs of roommates who like to bake. Motor is powerful, and I haven't been able to bog it down despite my enthusiastic attempts.

I love the product, I really do, would have given it five stars. However, after only one year, my bowl is rusting on the inside at the bottom. Not sure how but the tiniest amount of water must have gotten in there. Still, it's Kitchen Aid so I'm surprised to see this happening at all. Now I have to buy another bowl and at $55 each, that makes me a quite unhappy.

I bought the Kitchen Aid Mini for our RV. My classic died after 30 years of faithful service and I waited two years to buy a new one. We live full time in our RV so space is a minimum. I have put this through the paces. Frosting, cookies and bread. It performed great. I am absolutely in love. Worked just like the classic. Wish they made a cover for the bowl.

Very disappointed in this mixer . Got it for Xmas 2017, only used it a couple times . Went to use it now and it wouldn’t even start up . Got it running and it did not mix my frosting at all . No satisfaction from Amazon , they told me to call manufacturer and I couldn’t even get them to answer . Don’t buy products like this from Amazon , if I would have bought it at Kohl’s or Macy’s they would have taken it back or I could have got a new one . Thus is an item that should last for years not 3 times in 7 months .

What can I say, everyone wants to own one of these. The Artisan Mini lets me bake that cake and eat it too (oh yeah i made that pun work!). Came with the standard wisk, dough, and scraper thingy attachment. Only used the whisk attachment to make the lava cake recipe for the instant pot. They came out perfectly and was able to clean up and tidy up before the total 14 minute cook time in the instant pot. Love the mini as it fit right in the one open spot in the lower cabinet. The smaller footprint is much welcome vs its big counterparts. Expensive? Yes Worth it? Yes if you plan to use it Do I plan to use it? Yes my dead hand mixer is proof as the kiddos demand fresh cookies every weekend.

I bought this couple months ago. It works fine. Recently I purchased a pasta cutter set for the mixer, and until then I found my mixer didn't come with its attachment thumbscrew. (I keep everything in the original box, and it's not there. Yes, the small cap is there, but the screw is not.) It seems I can't find the right replacement for the screw all through the internet. Someone please tell me where I can find it, otherwise all those expensive attachments are just useless...

I love my mini! I was worried based on comments and reviews I had seen that it may be too small, but it has been the perfect size for my needs, which are mostly just cooking for 2 - sometimes doubling recipes to save for later. In fact, there have been several times I have realized the quantities I have been mixing may have been too small for a full-sized mixer, but the smaller bowl of the mini allows me to prepare comically small amounts of some things. I also love that it fits under my cabinets and I can even tilt the head back fully without having to get it out from its spot under the cabinets. First one came with a gouge in the paint (not surprisingly with how unprotected it was in its packaging), but the exchange process was easy and we got a flawless one a week later. Still, Kitchenaid might consider adding some protection to their packaging as I've seen a lot of reviews describing similar experiences.

I gradually found my Artisan difficult to lift safely out of my cabinet so the Mini is a Godsend. It is light but does get the job done. Juiced #25 of mandarin oranges without problems; whipped heavy cream as well as my Artisan; and kneaded single loaf of whole wheat bread dough with no stalling or struggling. Glad I purchased!

First off I would like to say that I do not appreciate the change in price that happens DAILY. I went with my second color choice because it was the most inexpensive ($199) for the red one. The very NEXT day, my 1st choice (the contour silver) was $179. So may I suggest if you wish to purchase one, check on it for a few days. all I have made in it has been 2 cakes so far and even on the highest speed, there are still chunks in the batter. And lastly, the way this mixes, ALL should come with the flex edge beater. The plain one does NOT touch the sides or the bottom. I should've stuck with my hand mixer for all the more baking I do. Not happy.

Got the mini a few days ago and quite happy with it so far, I've used it to make a simple chocolate cake. Noise level is low and it's small enough to fit my counter space. Got the ice blue it looks cute. Just one complaint that the wisk attachment does not scrape the bottom of the pan. I had to manually do and mix my cake batter. So far happy with my purchase. Excellent product but was missing screw to hold front, power take off, cover. Contacted manufacturer month ago....still have not received part or any indication when it will be corrected! Safety issue that should be corrected! Corrected 3/20/2017. Received screw via UPS. Updated Rating from two stars to five stars but still have lingering concern about availability of spare parts!

I love this mixer. I had no space for a large mixer and this mixer is light and a perfect fit on my counter. Have been waiting for it for years. Absolutely fantastic. I feel like baking every day. I would highly recommend it to everyone. Thanks again for this Mini. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Have always wanted one. Mixing for recipes is no longer a chore. Still have more things to try with it but so far I am loving it. Wonderful they now make a mini version for people like me who no longer have to bake for a family.

I wish the bowl was larger, but I did purposely buy the "mini" mixer for space savings. Very happy with the product.

I love my mini ! It looks great on the counter without looking like it doesn't belong. Great power! I purchased this before the Christmas holiday and I think I got a great deal given the same one at Macy's was $100 more. Anyhow, so glad I waited for this size!!

Nice, compact stand mixer for small batches. I bought the pink version when it was on lightening deal - and it's a very pretty pink. Fits nicely on my countertop so I'm very happy with it. If you make large batches of cookies or cakes, it's probably too small.

It fits my much smaller needs and does a great job. Pretty is nice too. I have a thirty year old KitchenAid lifting bowl mixer that I used to knead six loaves of bread at a time. Still works like a champ. So I am sold on the quality. I just have small quantity needs now. I do wish it came bowl with a handle and pouring shield in the box.

Powerful machine, takes up less counter space than the original Kitchenaid mixer we wore out. The attachments from the original work well in the Mini.

It mixed things well, but not like I expected. I still had to scrape the sides, and it was difficult because of a lack of room for getting the spoon in. And it splashed a bit on the higher speeds. I guess I expected it to operate a lot better than it did.

Design wise the mini is great and build quality is solid as with all KitchenAid mixers. We have a small kitchen with little available counter space so it fits perfectly for us. It got tons of use this holiday season with cookies and will get plenty more in the future.

I bought this as a gift for my friend and she loves it!! I bought the hot sauce color and it's beautiful! It has a bright red and orange tint to it. The photo has a filter on it so don't go by that color but I posted it to show the size. It's perfect!

Love love love the size of this mixer. It does everything its big brother or sister does but takes up less space.

Definitely prefer the regular size mixer. Made filling for one pumpkin pie and it sprayed outside the bowl even on low speed. Had to keep my hand on the mixer when using the food process to keep it from topping. Better to spend just a little more and get a much more useable mixer.

Great new size! Love it. Much easier to handle. One problem, the bowl is so much smaller. Don't know how it will handle cake mixes but it handles cookie dough very well.

Ordered this when my Cuisinart mixer died suddenly. It is SO much quieter than the Cuisinart -- it almost makes me think it's not on. Love the quiet motor. It's also very powerful -- I whipped up several batches of cake frosting lickety split. Excellent mixer. My only complaint is the controls. There's an on-off toggle, and a separate up/down switch to control the speed. I suppose I'll get used to it, but it's a bit of a nuisance when you're making something like frosting, where you stop frequently to add ingredients.
