I received this as a wedding present, my mom has the same one and I love it. The first time I used it I was making muffins and it make all sorts of grinding noises like it was barely working and started to smell really bad. The Metal band on the top that has the numbers and the brand is falling off. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Purchased new stand mixer and noticed oil leaking from motor area. Contacted KitchenAide who asked me to send them photos and video of the mixer along with proof of purchase which I did. That was over two weeks ago and I have heard nothing even after a follow up email. The person on the phone was very nice and professional but the lack of follow up is a huge disappointment. We have been a life long loyal customer to this brand but our last two purchases (Refrigerator and Stand Mixer) have been littered with problems and the customer service has fallen way off.

'Santa' brought one of these to our home Christmas 2016 and I couldn't be happier. School break with my kids I took a couple days off and we enjoyed making cookies together, several kinds. Watching them be creative took priority over a messy kitchen, because the KitchenAid stand mixer was so easy to use, I could do what little clean up was necessary while they tended to balling up the dough. Definitely worth it's weight for these memories that will last a lifetime for all of us - thank you. Looking forward to many more to come.

I've had KitchenAid mixer envy for years. I was a little worried I'd be disappointed when I finally got one. I'm happy to report this mixer meets all my expectations! I think there will be times I wish I had bought the bigger size but for most of my recipes this one is just right. It holds a lot and with the pouring shield on top there is no worry about splatter even when it's really full. I'm leaving this out on my counter top. That's why I chose this model instead of the bigger one. It is rather heavy so if you want to store it make sure it's in a place where it's easy to move it in and out. I've used all three attachments and they work beautifully. The ten speeds are a nice feature. It's a very user friendly mixer. So many great colors to choose from! The espresso color looks nice with our granite. Wish I had not waited so long to buy one!

I knew that Kitchen Aid mixers were rated highly, but when my husband surprised me with the Artisan mixer, I could not have imagined how much better my baking turned out with this product. I have made meatballs that were perfectly blended, delicious, hearty breads, and cakes with the lightest, fluffiest texture I have ever tasted. I know it is vastly superior to my previous mixer, and I find myself looking for recipes just to use it as much as possible. My husband chose the Expresso color, which frankly I would not have chosen, but I have come to love. It is a deep, rich color and I get many compliments on it. I am currently waiting for the grinder attachment to arrive, and I look forward to using that as well. I honestly cannot imagine ever using another brand of mixer from this point forward.
