I bough this recently and this is my first time using a food processor! It is very compact and I like the fact you can store everything right in the machine. I tried slicing cucumbers, radishes, and green peppers with moderate success, first using the thin disc then the large disc. The first thing KitchenAid needs tto o improve is having a larger feed tube. The one with it is much too small. Hopefully with more practice I will get better. Purchased ours a week ago and we have put it to use several times. We have the largest KitchenAid food processor and at times it is just too big for what we were preparing. A must have. Slice, dice, puree, blend...whatever you need done... here is your appliance. I am very pleased I went and got this item. I was not too sure how many times I would actually use this appliance but sure enough I have used it several times and am very please with every outcome. You will be able to use the multipurpose stainless steel blade, the slicing blade as well as the reversible medium slicing/shredding blade. I mean you can use the multipurpose blade to grater hard cheese with ease. A must have in any ones kitchen indeed. Do I recommend this product? Yes I do. I absolutely loved this food processor!! It was so easy to use loved the one click bowel assembly,Easy storage with cord wrap,dishwasher safe,compact and sleek looking...it was the perfect kitchen accessory that I never knew I needed! There are so many recipes I want to try now, so far I've made guacamole,chopped salad with loads of veggies that I normally would've hated doing because of the cutting with a traditional knife and chicken salad.It was a effortless.There are multiple options like thin slice,medium slice and thick slice,chopped or shredded a multi purpose option for thicker foods or for smoothies and mixing like batter etc. and there's also a dough attachment.For the size I was really surprised how powerful it was and quiet compared to the old-school food processors.I am absolutely impressed with this little machine that does so much and storage is a breeze. This food processor is the best one I have ever used! I love it's cohesiveness, meaning everything is stored in the device, which makes it look nicer and I can keep everything together. I love that it has 3 blades stored inside of the processor. I love that the lid is attached to it so I don't have to place it somewhere and risk misplacing it or searching for it. I would have to say this is my favorite food processor I have ever owned. My favorite feature with it is how easy it is to use. All you do is put it in where it belongs and you are good to go. My last one you had to put it in and then line it up which somedays could be very hard to do. I am so glad I no longer have to do that with this one. The food processor is easy to use as well. With only 3 buttons anyone should be able to figure it out. It has a high and a low button and then an off button. The food processor is the perfect size for me to use because I have a bigger size family. I used it to chop up my chicken and it was chopped within seconds perfectly. I am one excited and happy mama to be able to make so many new recipies. A food processor is the secret to so many sauces and can't wait to make my favorite hummus. The blades are sharp and do such a great job. It looks sleek and easy to clean. Very easy to take apart and wash. Everything fits inside so perfect to store right on my counter top. I absolutely love this processor and it's so easy to use. It does everything I could imagine and more! I used this to make chopped salads, coleslaw, and even bread. It cut and sliced all of my vegetables so nicely and they weren't all mangled. I was shocked that it kneaded dough which was perfect for making loaves of bread! This is really an all in one. It fits a large amount of food in it as well so I don't have to continue doing servings one at a time. The best part is that all of the blades fit right inside the bowl for storage so it does not take up a lot of space. It's very compact and a space saver as well. This 9 Cup Food Processor Plus has been an amazing addition to my kitchen. It is just the right size. I can actually fit enough when making things for meals. When I first opened it, I was very happy with how nice it looked and how self explanatory it was to put parts where they needed to go. I have made lots of different things already. I've been able to make mashed potatoes, dressing, grated cheese, and salsa. One of my favorite things is chopping veggies for all types of meals! This is a time and stress saver for me. I don't have a huge kitchen so it is a big deal that all of the parts fit inside of the food processor for storage. Not only does this help me save space, but it also keeps all of the parts together so I do not misplace anything. I am also very excited about how easy this is to clean. I can rinse the top pieces and simply put on the top rack of my dishwasher. The bottom portion is easy to wipe down with a warm rag. I love mine! It slices, it shreds, it purees, and so much more. Last night I made bread crumbs for our pork chops, shredded cheese and chopped broccoli for our rice and sliced all the veggies for our salad in a matter of minutes. It has 5 different blade type attachments it can do just about anything. Dinner prep was cut by more than half. The 9 cup capacity is big enough for big jobs for a large family like mine. It assembles easily, and cleaning it was easy too! There is no twisting the bowl to put it in place, it just snaps snugly right in. I was amazed at how quiet this powerful motor is!
