The KitchenAid Blender provides the ultimate blending performance to stir, chop, mix, puree and liquify. A robust motor, unique diamond pitcher, stainless steel blades and electronic controls combine to create a powerful vortex that is fast and thorough. Its Intelli-Speed Motor Control senses contents and maintains optimal speed. Pulse mode works with all speeds for staggered blending. The crush ice feature pulses at precise intervals for optimal ice crushing results. The Soft Start feature starts the motor at a slower speed to pull food into the blade then quickly increases. Steel-Reinforced Coupler provides direct, efficient power transfer from the motor directly to the blade. The coupler is coated for quiet operation. The Clean-touch control panel wipes clean easily. The 60-ounce BPA-free pitcher is shatter, scratch and stain-resistant. The pitcher is dishwasher safe for easy cleanup.

e ordered this blender in the Raspberry Ice color to replace a Cuisinart blender that was underpowered for the frozen cocktails we enjoy. With the Cuisinart, we had to frequently stop the motor and stir the mixture to get the ice evenly distributed and properly crushed. There was a suspicious burning odor during the last few batches we made in it, so it was time for a new blender.

This one is definitely up to the job! The difference is obvious during the unboxing process - this machine is solidly made and quite heavy, but all the weight is in the motor and motor casing - the large 60 oz. pitcher is made of lightweight plastic. I hadn't considered this as a selection factor, but should have. If the pitcher had been made of glass, the overall weight of the blender would have been excessive and handling the pitcher during pouring would have been quite difficult. This blender was well-designed!

A couple of pina coladas in our old blender took several minutes to prepare with the frequent stops and starts to get the ice properly crushed and everything well blended. With this KitchenAid blender, we added all the ingredients, hit the START and CRUSH ICE buttons, and the thing took over as we stood back in amazement. The blender stayed stable on the countertop and never moved an inch as the blender began automatically pulsing the ice and ingredients at about 5 second intervals. In approximately 40 seconds, we had a full batch of perfect frozen cocktails without ever needing to touch the blender or adjust the ice being crushed.

Since I consider any large ICE CRUSHING job to be the most difficult process for a blender to handle, I am assuming that this machine can handle just about any food preparation job extremely well.

Re: Looks. This is a large unit. If you intend to leave it out in the open or stash it in a cabinet, make sure you have at least 18" clearance in the area you want to store it. The unit stands 17" high assembled with the lid on.

I chose Raspberry Ice as the color because it was the right price point for me and I really didn't care, plus my husband likes purple. IT'S NOT PURPLE! It's dangerously close to being Hot Pink with a splash of Fuchsia thrown it...but he liked it and I'll admit that it just looks like a party is about to start, so that's perfect!

WHY WOULD NO ONE TELL ME THE MAGIC OF SLOW COOKERS RIGHT WHEN THEY BECAME A THING!? Seriously this thing is a busy person's savior or in my case, a lazy person's dream! This one is plenty large enough and incredibly easy to use. I mean really look at the buttons on this thing, if you can't figure that out, you have other things to sort out rather than look at slow cookers. Reviews say this one runs a bit hotter than most, but I've followed a handful of recipes and their cook times seem to be accurate. I really love that this model will automatically switch to keep warm after the timer you set expires. That last part is crucial for me because I work 10+ hour shifts and most recipes even on low are about 8 hours. That keep warm feature makes sure my food isn't burnt, but still warm when I get home.

After looking at Ninja products and the popular stuff on the market, I realized those personal blenders don't have much room, and not as much power as I was looking for. Trying to go all organic and blend daily, this KitchenAid blender has proven to be the winner! It is powerful and simple to use, its 5-page mini instruction guide can even tell you what combination of settings to use in order to create various types of blends (nut butters vs smoothies, soups vs baby food, raw foods and lettuce, etc). I can blend frozen fruits, raw spinach and ripe bananas all together and the result is a (very smooth) smoothie! It's easy to clean, too, and I clean by hand. While it sometimes takes a little strength to unlock the blender from its base when you're ready to pour, it proves to be safe and sturdy due to this locking feature. I have been using this blender 5x/week for about two months without issue. And for those with a noise concerns - all blenders are relatively loud. I'm not sure why 'noise level' is a consideration when looking into blenders, at all (don't bother). Also great - the blender comes in a variety of colors, and this orange or 'tangerine' blender is true to the color displayed online! A great product I would buy again if ever the need should arise.

I bought this blender about a month ago and I absolutely love it. This blender gets used at least 4-5 times a week. I use it to make different types of smoothies for myself and my kids, salsas, sauces, and soups. It even came with a recipe booklet that had other great ideas and uses that I wouldn't have thought of. I wanted something that had a good blade to crush down ice and purée for a smooth texture and this machine does just that! I got it in the empire red to match my other kitchenaid appliances. Great buy, worth every penny!

After reading the reviews on Amazon, I was torn between the Kitchenaid Diamond and the Kitchenaid Classic model blenders. They both have similar sounding features and the same motor and watt size, but the Classic was less expensive. Tuesday Morning had both of these blender models for the same price, but the Classic came with an extra smaller size carafe... which of course I wanted. So I bought them both to compare and I am so glad I did.

The Diamond is definitely of higher quality. The carafe on the Diamond locks into place and fits securely, not so with the Classic. I did an experiment making fruit smoothies, same ingredients for each. While blending on the highest setting with the Classic I felt like I had to put my hand on the lid to steady the machine, and when I did it was quieter and more steady. When I placed my hand on the Diamond to do the same thing, there was no change in sound or steadiness. The lid on the Classic almost felt like it was the wrong one, it was difficult to put in place and difficult to remove. The Diamond lid fits like you would expect, no issues.

They both blended the smoothie exactly the same, so no difference in performance.

The Classic base (red) is surprisingly large. The Diamond (grey) is smaller and more refined looking. They both have pulse and crush, and 5 speeds but I prefer the controls on the Diamond.

So the Classic, despite the cool 2nd carafe, is going back and we are keeping the Diamond
