While the smell seems to be diminishing (have used about 4-times), the unit bakes great, but I'm still playing with toasting. One side seems to brown perfectly, while the other side is still unchanged.
As said, I've used the unit about 4 times now, and the smell when you first turn the unit on seems to be diminishing. The first time I turned the unit on, I was a bit concerned so I never left the unit while it was on. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
