This KitchenAid slow cooker is wonderful, so much better overall than my crock pot cooker. The temperature is even so nothing is overdone. Cleanup is a breeze too.

Great for working women and/or busy moms or dads. Simple directions even I can follow Set your temp, time, and when food is done... your Cooker keeps it warm forever. I'm talking about 24 hours here. Food doesn't dry out or get cooked to death. Recommended best by COOKS mag. It's simple and efficient!!!

After doing some research I decided to purchase the KitchenAid slow cooker. I have used it a few times and am glad I got it. Perfect size for a family of 5 or 6 (plus a couple of friends over for dinner). There are many recipes for slow cooking and we've enjoyed several delicious meals already. It's easy to set the timer and start cooking. Go about your day and know that they'll be a hot meal ready when you return. It's very easy to clean afterwards. The ceramic pot can be heavy when loaded with food, but the pot and the entire cooker is made of quality materials. We're very pleased with our new slow cooker.

We've been using a different "slow cooker" for several years ("crock pot"). Although the controls indicated three temperatures, it really had only one, TOO HOT! And it had no time setting, so if you were running late it would just keep over-cooking your dish. After researching other brands, we were glad to find a review of slow cookers in Cooks Illustrated, who selected this Kitchenaid model as their top pick. We couldn't agree more. Our first batch of carnitas was perfect! The Kitchenaid temperature settings are accurate and the timer allows accurate timed cooking before switching to a stay warm setting. We'll be using this new Kitchenaid often (our old one just sat on a shelf)!

I purchased this slow cooker to replace an older, Rival model that cooked way too hot and too fast. The KitchenAid is the top rated slow cooker by America's Test Kitchen and I can certainly see why! I love the large digital display, and with 3 heat settings (low, medium and high) it is versatile enough for the seasoned chef, yet not intimidating at all or complicated for the everyday cook. The hide-away cord is a nice little bonus too! I really like the oval crock, as it more evenly than a round one. Since I have been using this slow cooker, all of my recipes have turned out perfectly. I couldn't be happier!

Maybe it was the one I got but I have never had anything in my kitchen NOT WORK upon first use. I think it cooked for 35 minutes and then I noticed no lights on? So I turned it on again and turned it to my setting- same thing happens. Then 'Er' pops up. Scrambling for the book I read on and on, only to find that everything they say to do, I did (checking circuits, outlet, etc). I was lost. A KitchenAid? My first, my one and only... KitchenAid??? I can hear my Austrian mom in the back of my head, "Tawesa, you know all those glowy electric gadgets in cars and stuff that's suppose to be cool doesn't last lowng." ...Not cool man, not cool.

We bought this a few weeks ago. We are gone from dawn until almost dark nearly every day, with work, school, and sports. None of our previous slow cookers would work well for us. Either they were too hot, cooked very unevenly, or dried out the food. THIS COOKER IS A LIFESAVER! Very easy-to-use controls. The display is bright enough to read across the room. Food is cooked very evenly with no scorching and no drying out. Temperature settings give the widest actual range we've seen. The crock cleans up very easily, especially since there is no scorching. The hide-away cord is nice too! We love it all! Excellent, just like our Kitchen-Aid stand mixer!

Our 1970's era slow cooker finally gave out. After shopping around and reading product reviews, this KA slow cooker worked its way to the top of the list. We've been using it for a short while now and wonder why we didn't get something like this much sooner. Has great controls for selecting Low, Medium, High settings and setting the time for cooking. Compared to our old Low/Hi Short/Long settings - this is a dream to use and control. KA also seems to have mastered the art of an insulated handle on the lid. Over all it has worked great for us, doesn't seem to have any hot-spots so cooking is even throughout the crock.
