Magic Bullet Blender Review

There are two ways to operate the Magic Bullet. You can either hold down and let go to pulse or push down and turn, that will blend automatically, you don’t have to hold it down. To stop blending, just turn back and it stops. First I’ll make a smoothie. I’m using 1 banana a few strawberries, little honey, 4 ice cubes and milk. I’ll let it blend automatically by pushing down and turning to lock. Let’s try frozen fruit - mangoes, my favorite, a little milk, sugar. If this works, it could be an easy dessert. Next I’ll chop some walnuts. These are great for your baked goods or adding to oatmeal. I’ll pulse a few times. Hold the base with one hand and pulse. Let’s make a fresh salsa. I’m putting in cherry tomatoes, onion about 1 inch pieces which is the recommended size for most food processors, 1 serrano chili cut in half, cilantro, lime juice and salt. I’ll pulse this. Now I’ll make a white bean dip, it’s perfect for a healthy snack. I’ll process two cloves of garlic first. Now I’ll add the drained white cannelini beans, I’m using a 15 oz can, lemon juice, flat leaf parsley, salt and a little bit of water to blend. I’ll pulse this. Do not blend hot liquids in this unit. You can heat up a food in the microwave with the tall cup only with no lid and no blade. Don’t heat for more than 2 minutes in the microwave. As for cleanup, the blade is not dishwasher safe, wash it by hand with warm soapy water. The cups and lids can be washed on the top rack in the dishwasher or hand wash which is what I do. I hope you found this review helpful. Please subscribe for more videos of products you use every day. Don’t forget to subscribe and thanks for watching!

I’ve used black Magic Bullets every day for years and years to make smoothies from water and powder with a small handful of frozen blueberries. They generally keep up the pace for several years. When the most recent one burned out from old age, I bought a new silver one. It started smelling and shut itself down in less than 30 seconds. I returned it. Second one, same thing. Returned it and bought a red version at a different retailer, hoping it was just a bad batch. Underpowered. Could barely spin a milkshake. Started smelling immediately. Had to stop it before it burned out. Unless I’m very unlucky and got three bad units in a row, magic bullet has been cost reduced or off shored to a low quality producer. They’re unusable now. Recommend against buying.

These reviews are honestly so harsh so here’s the truth.

First of all, Don’t let the picture that someone posted of the bullet burning a towel scare you. The first thing the manual says is DO NOT PUT ANY CLOTH UNDER THE BULLET. This is where the fan is and blocking it can be hazardous.

Second: the thing is 30 bucks, it’s not gnna be the best and if you don’t know that by purchasing the cheapest one on amazon then yes you will be disappointed. But if you want an easy to clean small blender for smoothies that’s cheap, then this is perfect

No it’s not great with ice- TIP: make smaller ice cubes or crush them first. Blends with no problem

No it’s not great with frozen (big) berries- TIP: microwave them for 10 seconds or defrost them for a Few and they’ll blend with no problem. - small berries have no problem blending

I haven’t tried any dips in it, But i didn’t get it for that.

Okay so let me start off with I LOVE this blender. It's a good product.

Now, that aside I want to tell people something. If you get this you HAVE to run it in bursts. Do NOT just let it sit there and blend and blend and blend or you WILL burn the motor and maybe yourself! Also make sure the blade is seated properly in the base. Poor reviews about this seem to be due to incompetent users who put too much ice or frozen stuff in it and cause the blade to seize or just let it run until it gets too hot. Which it will if you don't use it correctly.

Add your stuff. Blend. Remove. Shake. Repeat.

If you do this you will love its ability to blend literally anything you put in it. I use it for smoothies, frappes, even made quacamole! I do recommend this item. Just use it properly!

I had a Nutri Bullet that all of a sudden stopped working so I purchased this as an inexpensive replacement.

- if you are expecting a Nutri Bullet, this is not an exact replacement! It is much smaller and clearly not as strong of a motor

- if you are looking for an inexpensive blender to make smoothies or shakes, this will be perfect

- it can blend a few ice cubes with, say, a banana, some PB, and milk, pretty easily. Any more than that and I could see the motor dying quickly

Other than that, I say it’s worth what you pay and it’s a great small blender for making smoothies

Easily best single juicer on the market! (around this price point of course) I have been using it for one week;it is exact the same as my old Magic Bullet Juicer except my old one has two medium cups + 1 large cup w/o the tiny blender cup. Other than that, the blade/motor/functionality is perfect for a daily juicer. I highly recommend not to over-stuff the cup as if you do it it will leak. Fill it up to 80% to the cup and it will do the trick. And also don't let it run more than 20-30 seconds continuously.

Blenders are nice but bullets are just more efficient and more functional for those who love to make sauces, ground coffee beans, shakes and smoothies. Blenders are good for large scale smoothie shops or for large families, but for single people or small families, the magic bullet is the most versatile investment you can get.

Note: you may have to change blades every 2 years or so depending how heavily you use this thing. Do not pulse more than 30 seconds to 1 min b/c the base will get hot. You want to keep things EASY to pulse b/c it's no blender. The motion inside the fluid is pretty good. The only bad thing is that if you pack your cup a little too tightly with fruits, the top part might not move downward to blend enough so you have to take it off the base and shake it up before putting it back on the base.

Manual provides recipes to get you going a to how a bullet can work for different cuisines

Cleans easily but make sure you clean immediately after use so that the cracks don't fill up with dried stuff and then it looks gross afterawhile.

I have always loved the ease of using the Magic Bullet, especially the way you can shake it to keep it going, but was concerned over the plastic being transferred into my food, since I noticed that near the blades, that part of the plastic starts to shear off over time. Also, the last one I had seemed to not go downhill quickly. So, I tried to purchase an all glass and metal one smaller one that seemed like a good idea, but definitely did not work well in so many ways. Then, I found this attachment that was a genius idea made by this company that uses an all metal housing, some type of ice chopping blender blades that sound a bit different but work extremely well and I find much quieter overall. I had not issues with compatibility, so I highly recommend getting this extra very inexpensive, but high quality attachment you can find at this link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078WYNWKP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Now, I am one happy Magic Bullet user!

This is pretty much exactly what I expected when I bought it: a better-than-average representative of the cheaper drink blenders. I bought this one rather than the cheaper ones because it's possible to get replacement cups and blades for it and I do lose things, not because I expected it to be strong/faster/better than its competition.

There's no point in buying this if you want an all-purpose blender. The whole reason for this is that it has excellent design for blending shakes/drinks. It's very cleverly designed to be easy to use and - really important - easy to clean.

It's not super powerful. It doesn't even handle my frozen strawberries well right out of the freezer, and I certainly wouldn't give it normal-sized ice cubes. (After it failed to fully process the frozen strawberries, I didn't even bother trying ice.) I also haven't tried it with anything without liquid, so I don't know how it would do for grinding or pureeing. I would probably use other tools for those purposes. But for shakes, fresh fruit, half-thawed frozen fruit, and similar things, it does a fine job.

If I wanted a great blender, I'd pay 2-3 times as much and get something that was 900 watts instead of 300, sharper blades, and a stronger motor. But I didn't want to spend 2-3 times as much, and I'm satisfied with what I got for the price. After reading reviews, I feel fairly confident that I chose the right one in its price range.

Doesn't work well if you want to blend anything frozen. I tried to mix my protein smoothies with frozen banana pieces and it literally started smoking and died. Works well for all soft and liquefied mixtures though. I would go with a more expensive brand like NutriBullet or a Ninja if you are a hardcore blender user though.

The Magic Bullet works great and is very handy. The only drawback is that it does not come with an ice crusher blade. I selected this one because it was cheaper than Target but now I know why. I ordered the extra blade from Amazon for myself and my daughter. We use it daily for smoothies. Great in the summer for a quick meal because you do not have to dirty a big blender. It washes well in the dishwasher and I like the cup option.

My 16 year old son is in football and wanted this to make himself protein shakes. He says he likes it a lot because it is a perfect size for just making one shake on the go. Now if only it would clean itself lol.
