I love that it comes with a pot so I can make more than one cup for when I have guests

Due to my own neglect i have not used this new Melitta drip coffee maker as much as i should. It seemed quicker to make a pot of coffee-- but i do like the drip systeem during electrical storms which prevent use of the brewer. Nice to keep for future needs, flavorful cups of coffee.

My only complaint is that the porcelain pot does not keep coffee hot. Therefore I use the brewing cone over my soup thermos which keeps coffee hot just like first brewed. Of note, it is listed as a 6 cup maker but that is a 6 oz cup they are referring to.

I saw a plastic version of this coffee brewer mentioned in Consumers Report, but bought this porcelain version for Walmart for about the same price as the plastic one. I really like it.

I bought this little pot to heat water for the pourover coffee making process invented by Mrs. Melitta in 1905. The handle gets a little hot during the time in the microwave. The filter holder is porcelain and quite heavy with little chance of damage with normal use. I use it three times a day to make excellent high-quality coffee beans. pourover coffee using freshly ground

If you like grinding beans and heating water, this is a great coffeemaker. Makes good coffee. Easy to clean up. No plastic. Just quality porcelain feel.

I have been using a melitta coffee pot for 40+ years and enjoyed every drop of coffee as well as the process of making it. I'm disappointed that Melitta no longer makes a 4 cup pot, only this more cumbersome, heavy 6 cup pot. Other drawbacks are the cone filter only has one drainage hole instead of two which slows drip time considerably and the pour spout no longer has the indentation at the tip of the spout which kept the coffee from dipping when poured. The original German Melitta pot design was perfect. Why change anything!

A morning ritual. I love the simple, clean lines, and the plain white. Even goes with our mis-matched early 19th century cups and saucers!

I love the taste of coffee I get from this drip system. I can control the water temperature and stir the grinds as it steeps. Pre Warming the pot is critical. Hot tap water will do. This pot is porcelain which is why the coffee taste is so pure. Washes well in the dishwasher, but it is unforgiving if dropped.

This particular set is priced around $40 elsewhere; at Walmart it is only $19.99. It's sturdy and works quite well. The carafe holds 32 ounces when I fill it to the very top, so I'm guessing that the "6-cup" labeling means 6 5-ounce cups.
